  6. Actually it is even worse the working class is taxed for their debt with property taxes and vehicle taxes. You take a mortgage or car loan and are taxed for the full value of the asset as though the debt wasn't a liability. But the people who own stocks and bonds actually own the asset before they would be taxed.

  10. Richard Wolff didn't mention that a for profit insurance company increases it profits by denying your benefits when you need them with denial of service notices. The government insurance doesn't work based on this same profit motive and isn't looking for a reason to not provide the payments when you need them

Many of the techniques used to make the vaccine for covid are actually held by the US government not the drug companies the government has choose to let the drug companies use the governments patterns without any benefits to the citizens. The drug companies are literally profiting off the government owned patents.

But ask for college loans of 100 thousand dollars to be forgiven for citizens or rent forgiveness during a global pandemic no way. But you are literally not allowed to file bankruptcy on your student loans. Renters don't qualify for all the money that the business community got on forgiven loans from the federal government in 2020. So why do you think it is our society prioritized non living corporations over actual living citizens? Why do banks get a bailout and to foreclose on home owners like in 2008 2009 but the federal government can't give the same value to the home owners the bank conned into signing those loans? Why save the people who are paid to understand risk and give expert advice but not the people they conned into bad loans they can't afford to pay? Where is your responsible argument when it comes to banks corporations and billionaires like Trump who filed bankruptcy what 7 times?

  38. Richard in some cases leaving the power grid is less expensive than staying on the grid. I am in that situation in NH. The off grid solar system I am in the process of installing will pay for itself in under 10 years. That means it is less expensive even with a home equity loan or mortgage. It doesn't require wealth if the off grid solar system saves you money it only requires that you use your credit wisely when you buy.

  42. I would only disagree on the Iraqi war. The USA went in to secure the their oil reserves for our market. I believe we did achieve that goal for the last 2 decades. The other two wars where definitely pointless defeats for all but the military industrial complex who profited handsomely from them. To understand the Iraq war you need only understand the connection between Dick Cheney and Haliburton.

  45. The problem with this theory is that not everyone in an organization has the skills required to fill every role in the organization. It isn't possible to assume everyone at Tesla would be able to do the specialized tasks of choosing the correct battery chemistry for example.

  49. Ben Bernanke went to Japan and forced them to crash their interest rates even to negotiate levels in order to see what the effect would be. It was before he became head of the federal reserve and he later said he wanted to know if negative interest or printing money was a better policy so he forced Japan to test it out. It is discussed in one of Richard Duncan's books I don't remember if it was the dollar crisis or one of the two other books he wrote after it.
