@christopherhall6471 yup Nancy Pelosi should refuse to seat any Republican who doesn't admit under oath that the election was legitimate. After all if you believe the election was fraudulent you have no place in government you where not elected to office.
2
The military industrial complex made trillions of dollar in profits
2
Joe Xavier these companies didn't leave when the tax was 35% they won't leave when it is 28%. Because 28<35 which means they still get to make 7% more profit than they found acceptable in 2016.
2
Last time I checked we didn't actually have a single world government.
2
@desertmandan123 maybe the USA should end their embargo on Cuba than...
2
You can only push people down so far extracting wealth from them to the owners. Eventually the system breaks.
2
@redwhite_040 are you in love with wasting the most money on the most expensive form if new energy or just the transfer of wealth to the caplistist class? Because those are the only advantages to nuclear power.
2
@Daniel-gs9eh considering it was WWII England I would say no
2
@guesswho6038 having a garden creates problems??? Please do tell how my garden makes any problems I just thought it provided food for my family
2
Somehow this managed to miss the point to bit coin. That being that the supply is limited and central banks can't create more fiat currency.
2
You mean the ff industry for causing the climate crisis over the last century
2
@vespacheck wow trolling a month old post with false facts. Amazing.
2
They still haven't gotten to summer
2
J Vlk non of that has anything to do with the comment I made.
2
@BubblewrapHighway the plutocrats have bought both parties. There has been no way to vote against war or the wealthy for decades.
2
@algirdas6012 poor political planning. That is your argument? This is the level of argument you get from adult children of alcoholics which is fitting as you defend your addiction to ff.
2
@algirdas6012 you argue about funding for development of renewable energy than complaining about the one country that drove the price of solar panels down over the last couple of decades making bad choices. I think you are the one who is off course.
2
@bobdylan9117 giving someone money definitely gives you the authority to set the terms of the agreement. That is fundamental to how our entire economy functions.
2
@bobdylan9117 wow you suck at strawman arguments. I didn't call you a loser I said you lost the debate already with your strawman arguments.
2
Nuclear power is the single most expensive form of new energy generation today. No one should want to waste money on this technology.
2
@garry8390 you are the one with a shallow understanding of nuclear power as you have no clue what a peoblem half a century of nuclear waste has left behind.
2
Funny how you hear people take about debt when it comes to politics they dont like but never when it comes to the military spending the same amount of money on their "Ferrari" of fighter jets they only want to fly one day a week. When the military came asking for another trillion dollars to make the Lamborghini to park beside the F35 their own generals called a Ferrari the right wing just said sure please take trillions from the tax payers and build another military fighter jet you dont want to fly.
2
@paulschmidts5429 why the false choice? I would rather we all install more wind turbines and solar panels they will being us power far faster than any nuclear power plant. Probably faster then rebuilding a decommissioned coal plant as well.
2
@marinaclarasanchezsuarez2905 while there is no going back we need to do everything we can ASAP to limit all future damage to the only biosphere that supports human life in the entire universe. I know am fully aware that the effects lag emmisions by a full decade and that half of all emmisions have happened in the last 2 decades so things will definitely continue to get worse for the climate emergency than we see today. However that is a call to act with urgency to end the ff era. To do otherwise is to embrace the 6th mass extinction event already in progress on the only planet that supports human life
2
@bozo8894 it is safe to bet that there will be opportunities to rebuild just look at the photos. .
2
@KennyNGA is there a really good example of democracy today? The globalism of capitalism has pretty much insured oligarchy is a world wide form of government. Just look at the current elections in the USA our "choice" was neoliberalism or fascism. We could choose the continuation of the trump administration or the return to the administration that gave us trump. Either way I am reminded of Warren Buffett saying this is class warfare and my class is winning.
2
@canto_v12 have you been to Tiawan? I spent 18 months living there. There are some good things about their society for sure they did much better with the pandemic response then the USA. But they definitely suffer from the class warfare of neoliberalism and globalization. I got to see first hand how the owners of the company live compared to the workers. So no not really a good example of how democracy should work in the interests of the working class over the wealthy minority.
2
@nntflow7058 you trust the same industry who said the old technology was perfectly safe when it as new technology. How cute.
2
Yup stop electing millionaires to government if you want that to change. Fight for rank choice voting and join the people's party.
2
You should try listening to the video before you comment it will make you look like less of a paid troll for the ff industry in your denial. Then lean how renewable energy is actually produced and stored.
2
@PistonAvatarGuy plenty of places have huge hydro. But the nice thing about electricity is the ability to store it many way. Storage isn't a problem. I use batteries for my off grid solar system. Some places will use grid scale thermal mass or liquified air storage. 100% renewable energy is completely possible and the future no matter how much you try to deny it or say it can't be done the world is changing.
2
@PistonAvatarGuy like I said the single most expensive form of energy. You must love over paying for things. Nuclear power is the single most expensive form of new power generation
2
@nemo4evr agreed but mostly they are determining what percentage they need to bribe politicians like Joe Manchin with.
2
@adriangutierrez8657 so they don't deserve a wage equal to the cost of living in society? I am guessing since the start of the war in Ukraine their cost of living has grown much faster then their wages. But apparently you are not one of them so it doesn't matter to you that their standard of living is declining.
2
@nicholasv.i.d.4416 wow you don't even realize that the G7 isn't only America. How narcissistic of you.
2
You application for the Darwin awards has been noted.
2
Their employees just got Medicare
2
@wakey87 I would blame the company selling the products that set their prices and raised them. But that is just me. I wouldn't blame someone else if I set the price of my goods higher.
2
Cheerleading for the highest cost of electricity amazing
2
@tstocker6926 hydro dams have need doing that job for decades
2
abdishakur ibrahim maalim Maalim my off grid system is more reliable than the Texas ff powered grid
2
@tonyvu2011 well if you are volunteering to be part of the 6th mass extinction event you can definitely do so but I choose to live. If you want to call keeping a planet that supports human life selfishness then you got me. But I would say to do otherwise is suicidal.
2
@michaelmcfeely6588 well the solar system I installed at my farm has allowed me to be 100% off grid and will pay for itself in 9 years with a 25 year warranty on all components except the batteries which are 12 years. So what going renewable has done for me is save money for me and make me energy independent. Does that make me one of the special interest groups the left loves the American small farmer?
2
Because in decades of trying humans can't match a tree at carbon capture and it isn't possible to scale those to the size we need to offset our emissions. We need to leave carbon in the ground first not try to catch it after we release it
2
All of humanity has a problem with any ff infrastructure project we are suffering the 6th mass extinction brought to you by the ff industry
2
The federal reserve has literally printed record levels of currency for 2 decades. With no inflation problem. There are decades of evidence to prove that talking point wrong. This is corporate greed. Companies set the price of goods they are the ones who are raising their prices.
2
We failed when we believed the wealthy business owners who put their profits over all else. The GOP in Texas literally said people will have to die for the economy we now see what they ment was half a million Americans and counting. We also see that Texas had put profits over reliability in their power grid and that it is less reliable than the power grid in Afghanistan.
2
It probably has to do with a lack of ff resources. The countries which don't have a profit motive to keep the ff industry alive will be the first to leave in on the past.
2
There all ready are classes in our society. Warren Buffett said years ago this is class warfare and his class is winning.
2
Yup they can't give up their monopoly which allows them to profiteer off the pandemic. I mean if they vaccinate 100% of the worlds population and end the pandemic how will they continue to make a profit off the technology next year? This is about protecting a profit center not saving humanity.
