  8. All you ff tools who don't realize people like me have gone off grid solar with no ff and no sacrifice to my lifestyle. That electric stove powered by my solar panels cooks breakfast just as well as the old gas one did but cost me nothing at the end of the month.

  13. @Amatya Ucran nope ending ff industry subsidies would put the burden on the companies and be far more productive as they have the resources to address the problem not taxing the working class. Taxing the people with the least power is the worse way to address the peoblem.

  15.  @ksztyrix  I think a business profits tax is paid from the profits. The history of the USA proves this point from the 40s through the 60s we taxed corporations and the wealthy. There was a golden age of growth for the working class. In the 80s Ronald Reagan and trickle down economics flip that to taxing the working class not the wealthy and we saw the creation of the rust belt as the barrons of industry took their tax cuts and built factories over seas.

  16.  @ksztyrix  taxes on their profits force them to reinvest those same dollars into the company be that labor force with better pay and benefits to improve the worker satisfaction and performance or to reinvest in the company itself in the form of new equipment which means more economic growth for the companies supplying the new manufacturing equipment. This is proven in the history of the USA. We saw more growth when it was in the companies interests to provide for the workers and invest in the company or pay taxes to the government. We lowered their tax burden in the age of Republican trickle down economics and saw the growth of billionaires and stock buybacks while workers pay stagnated and jobs where exported. The history is clear we tax the wealthy they invest in their workers and companies we don't tax the wealthy the take the money for their own greed. You just refuse to learn the lessons of the last century.

  23. @noazucar why do you think Charles Koch wants a competitive free market? He wants a monopoly in his refineries like all good caplistist who have won in our caplistist society. Caplitsam is about getting a monopoly so you can maximize return on your capital. The free market is a fairytale sold to the working class to make them believe that inequality is somehow good for them as companies now have the highest profit margins in 70 years. Sad you don't see through that yet.

The we won't accept a reasonable profit margin so you have to allow us to have a monopoly and price gouge or we we will close shop. I say ok if the private sector doesn't want to exist in the medical field we will simply nationalize them and let the government hire the scientists. There is no place for a profit motive when someone's life depends on getting the cure anyway.

The sun won't expand to end all life on earth in that time frame. But in the lifetime of the children in school today our greed and dependency on ff will end the ability of this planet to support the lifestyle we depend on. We are living through the 6th mass extinction event and you are defending wasting resources on space exploration instead of focusing on renewable energy and income inequality. Well done.
