Helen Pauls do you not know how to look up who voted for and against the $15 amendment on the bill? It is a matter of public record along with the net worth of our senators. Unless you consider the congressional record part of Q in which case you need your head examined because you no longer believe in reality.
1
Public education and public healthcare is now leftist per German news? These are thing that have been supported by all parties in Germany for decades. Germany literally had both including public funding for colleges.
1
100 ff industry lobbyist are standing in the way
1
@jerrymillerstein 50% of all emmisions come from the top 1% wealthiest in the world. Being that I am not in that group yes those people will have to change their lifestyle if we are going to cut that half of all emmisions.
1
You know the GOP rushed her onto the court because they know they will not have the votes to even keep control of the Senate. There was no other reason to hold an illegitimate vote in the committee breaking the committee rules. She should be removed by the next Senate on those grounds alone. Graham and Mitch McConnell broke the senate rules to get her appointed that shows how scared they are. It also shows you they are fascists who believe the ends justify the means.
1
@onestepaway3232 Seven Members of the Committee, actually present, shall constitute a quorum for the purpose of discussing business. Nine Members of the Committee, including at least two Members of the minority, shall constitute a quorum for the purpose of transacting business. Senate.gov › judiciary › about › rules Committee Rules - Senate Judiciary Committee The senate can not vote on a nominee until after the judiciary committee holds a vote to advance the nominee to the full senate which requires a quorum that Graham didn't have so his vote to advance her to the Senate was illegitimate making the Senate vote to appoint her to the court the fruit of the poisoned tree.
1
@onestepaway3232 you can feel free to try and find the rule that the Democratic party violated by not attending the vote. But you will find there are non requiring that senators show up for votes. So they didn't break the rules. It is a valid method of delaying a vote same as Mitch McConnell used to make sure Obama didn't fill court appointments including a supreme court nominee. As far as I am concerned turnabout is fair play the Democratic party didn't do anything that Mitch McConnell hasn't already done.
1
@onestepaway3232 I didn't write the rules and choose to run my committee by them. Take it up with the majority leadership who wrote the rules.
1
@onestepaway3232 it is telling that you think it is impossible to get enough support from the other party to get 2 members to show up for a vote though. It proves that you believe the majority should have full control of the Senate
1
@onestepaway3232 so you are not the law and order party after all. Got it the rules shouldn't apply when it gets in the way of the fascist authoritarian power grab.
1
@Dustie1984 nice deflection but the fact remains the first problem is that intellectual property rights have limited the manufacturing capacity so we do not have the 16 billion vaccine shots to give everyone on planet earth. Everything after that fact is a distraction because you are distracting from the fundamental supply problem caused by caplistist profit motives. In the USA we proved when the government provides the vaccine for free it is easy enough to get everyone who is willing vaccinated in a few short months we got over 60% or the population atleast one shot.
1
@jasip1000 buy a heat pump and solar panels. Stop funding the ff exporting countries for the sake of Ukraine and all the other countries that suffer from the oil exporting countries agression.
1
@jasip1000 so your issue is what the the power company doesn't have renewable energy?
1
@zoomzoom3950 as a caplistist you should look forward to the increased profit margin of installing the cheapest form of new power generation today which is renewable plus storage. Nothing leftists about wanting to use the most cost effective solution and conserve a planet that supports human life. That seems pretty caplistist and conservative to me.
1
@jasip1000 we can switch much faster if we make it a priority. History has shown us how to do that and I for one wish the USA my country would send solar panels not troops and bombs.
1
@zoomzoom3950 it looks to me like those depending on ff energy are lacking it and paying more today. So much so that the UK has shutdown their fertilizer production plant. I think you are just scared that you won't make money when renewable energy become a sustainable resource. Hard to profit off selling people energy when they collect it off their own roof and property.
1
@zoomzoom3950 lol wow when you resort to calling me a communist I know I hit a nerve. You are definitely showing that you fear the day you can't use energy as a commodity because too many people like myself have invested in our own solar power plus storage.
1
@zoomzoom3950 lol you are a funny troll.
1
It is once in a generation if you are talking mayflies. But if you mean human beings well sorry you need to accept the abrupt part of abrupt climate change.
1
Lower our expectations because the last 25COP have set the bar so high....
1
@annoyedaussie3942 funny because we told them what you said a decade ago. So I guess you are on the no help because they didn't act second pass. I just want them to commit to fixing the problem this time. I will say though the only example I can think of is society where we don't know the terms before getting help is the medical system in the USA and that is a stellar example of how to control costs and actually fix systems
1
@annoyedaussie3942 even Beto pointed out that Texas didn't address this problem in the last decade because they knew but put profits over reliability. He should know he lived there the entire time.
1
@Kenny-bj2zq only 10 years away if you choose not to live it today. My off grid solar works great
1
@ragincajun7625 the better question is how many lost their lives.
1
@user-pd9ju5dk5s sure blame the people like Rex Tillerson and Charles and David Koch.
1
@user-pd9ju5dk5s they are responsible for the climate crisis. If you can't understand why that is relevant to the flooding you need to listen to the climate scientists
1
@user-pd9ju5dk5s wow are you ignorant or trying to put up a dumb strawman argument to kock it down? Because that isn't what I said.
1
@user-pd9ju5dk5s wow keep thinking what companies do they run and what products do those companies make how do they make them and what is the byproduct of using them???? You are almost up to a 1960s understanding of the climate crisis.
1
@user-pd9ju5dk5s like I said you have a 1960s understanding of the problem not a 2021 understanding but thanks for doubling down to prove the point
1
@bill8711 you could buy your solar system from someone else. I didn't buy from Tesla. But if you want to die that is your choice I guess.
1
@UC35Ccc-gfZBncuL_-dvuUkw so living in Europe you would rather die than use renewable energy? Seems like a odd disconnect of logic there...
1
@vodkaboy wow blame everyone else for your greed. Well done
1
@nuqwestr you think people are in love with their Petro dealer not the work that energy does for them. Interesting I have to assume you never road in an electric vehicle. The reality is the avg person doesn't know or care if their power company burns coal or uses renewable energy so long as the light switch turns the lights on and the stove cooks dinner Renewable energy is now the cheapest form of new energy and EV have the lowest total cost of ownership. The economics have spoken people want the less expensive solution which now isn't ff.
1
@nuqwestr there is an old saying the stone age didn't end due to a lack of stones.
1
@nuqwestr wow you are as dishonest an actor as I have seen yet they make a mute list for the likes of you.
1
Feng lol our entire species changed forever when we split the atom too. One of the scientists who did that famously quoted I have become death destroyer of worlds.
1
@hovawartfreunde4599 not understanding your point about rooftop solar at all. A global climate crisis means everyone will be a victim until we all change our ways. Covid should have taught you than no one is safe until we all are safe
1
Too bad NATO only feels a moral obligation to bombs not to the climate emergency that threatens all life on earth.
1
If profit drove medical innovation we wouldn't have needed government funding of the covid vaccine up front. The reality is government funding drives the vast majority of innovation.
1
@assertivekarma1909 you seemed to miss the point. I know it isn't a pure market system. DW and their expert don't seem to know that. They seem to think a pure market system is the only way forward.
1
Ofcourse it was a sucess the response from NATO has been increased spending on military budgets which drive oil sales. A failure for Russia would have been NATO commiting hundreds of billions to renewable energy to end the ff era. Instead we are spending hundreds of billions on more ff based infrastructure and technology which will insure the higher priced ff continues to be in high demand for the next half century. Job well done by the ff controlled government of Russia.
1
Anyone who doesn't want to die in the 6th mass extinction should want to see the end of the ff era. Burning ff is genocide
1
The ff industry did this but why would you expect God to stop a man made flood we are only following his example.
1
@faber7507 nuclear waste will kill humans for over a century. We know for a fact that in 80 years time there will have to be a 3 containment building built around Chernobyl. Not to mention all the spent nuclear waste in the USA sitting at the sites of all the dismantled nuclear power plants. It is a disaster waiting to happen and a burden left on untold generations yet to be born. Nuclear power was a bad idea when it was first dreamed up and a worse idea now that we have less expensive less dangerous alternatives. Dumping money into nuclear power is the definition of government waste and fraud.
1
@VFPn96kQT nuclear waste lasts longer than the human species has walked on planet earth. It doesn't matter how physically small it is if it is highly deadly and last forever you are making an ever increasing death threat for our planet.
1
@faber7507 but we have solar and wind that don't make nuclear waste or climate change. So only a paid troll would advocate for nuclear power which is the most expensive solution. Welcome to the mute list for nuclear trolls.
1
@VFPn96kQT waste from solar panels? You mean sand and cement from wind turbines. Or fiberglass which is ground down into sand. Wow what a massive problem you better avoid the beach... Show me the solar far exclusion zone like we see with nuclear power. Yes for a few decades of power we have places on earth no humans can ever live again. Talk about wasteful. Nuclear is dead the free market killed it.
1
@VFPn96kQT solar panels are not an exclusion zone they are roofs. Chernobyl and Fukushima are exclusion zones because people die from the radioactive waste there. You are making bad faith arguments. It is hard to convince someone of something they have a financial obligation to not believe. This is how you behave so welcome to the mute list for trolls
1
The carbon pulse is ending. This is the free market telling society it is time to figure out what a post ff era society will look like.
1
Because ff is global genocide. The last time German tried that the USA had to stop them history often repeats itself.
