@JDGuitar82 this doesn't push the envelope we made orbital fights in the 1960 for far less cost. This just wastes carbon emissions we don't have for a 10 minute joyride. How many homes could have been powered by renewable energy for the same cost as this joyride?
3
Because it was more profitable to just match demand to the current supply and charge more for the end products.
3
Literally never in the history of human kind has this level of climate change and warming happened. But sure maybe in a world which didn't support human life in the distance past like when the dinosaurs ruled.
3
Biden now has the opportunity to live up to his campaign promise of Build Back Better.
3
@simeonivanov3507 I love how people think removing demand for ff is the reason ff is more expensive. It shows how little you understand supply and demand in markets.
3
This story is literally as old as the industry revolution
3
Sounds like there is a bigger problem with a society in depression which requires adressing. Telling people to suck it up won't end the depression
3
@italy5153 I think you missed the point
3
Time to inact price controls.
3
When you can't argue the message attack the messenger
3
This is what tipping points in the climate crisis look like.
3
@meamzcs so more access to the vaccine doesn't help end the pandemic??? Wow
3
Internet Research Agency I already have off grid solar and wood for my winter fuel needs. You choose the wrong person to say that too.
3
Internet Research Agency not any more so than in northern parts of the USA where I live solar is fine you just need to size for it the lattidude. As to wood since I burn wood off the same wood lot my family has for over 120 years and I burn dead wood stoping it from producing methane it lowers the greenhouse gases from my wood lot so no it is better to burn it then let it rot. You really need to get off the internet and get real life experience
3
Internet Research Agency oh and ofcourse one solution doesn't fit all with renewable energy. Some people will use hydro power some people will use off shore wind. You really doesn't deserve a handle about research your ignorance is amazing
3
@chepyB you can fear a vengeful being who lives in the sky. I will believe the scientists who proved it was our burning ff which caused this and stop burning ff. This is a man made disaster and the solution will come from mankind as well if we are to find one.
3
@stormelemental13 in other countries where their isn't large scale hydro dams the grid will be stabilized by storage technology like liquid air. The future is here now.
3
@shadowlord1418 It would require an in depth study of the population of the British empire to see if you are correct. I honestly don't know but suspect you are probably wrong. History definitely shows that those in power don't willingly give up that power without first using force to keep it. Look at the civial rights movement in the USA or any history of peaceful protest it is often if not always met with state sponsored violence. The 21st century is full of examples of state governments using violence against their citizens when the citizens demand change from the government. It spans from Asia through the middle east and North America. Be it the Hong Kong protest the Arab spring or the BLM movement the seens from the streets of citizens having chemical weapons band from war by international law used against then are the same.
3
@harmless6813 it wasn't very friendly after I had already apologized
3
War is what happens when diplomacy fails. It is violence because you failed as a diplomat.
3
@TheRazzaManazza it doesn't matter how fast people recover the cases double ever 2 or 3 days means yes the total keeps doubling
3
@donaldevanshennings7732 yes eventually everyone will be infected if it keeps doubling like the report said. My point is that is at 33 cycles.
3
@saba1030 the companies you defend are far more wealthy then the citizens you don't.

@DolphinsWIthIgloos the new deal definitely fed and housed millions of Americans during the 1930s. It also built renewable energy infrastructure that has powered a large percentage of this nation ever since and provides the resources needed to build the post war boom. The new deal and war time government spending is what put the USA on footing to be able to capitalize on the rebuilding of Europe and Asia post WWII. It was government funding of technology that made the advances during the war and it is government funded research that had created the tech boom since. Starwars under Reagan funded the microchip revolution which made computers possible. DARPA funding developed the technology of flat screens and micro chips that made cell phones possible. Even the technology to make the vaccine today is patterned by the us government. The reality is both Jeff Bezos through his cloud computing service and Elon Musk through his reusable rockets are dependent on government funding to build their wealth. Those are also the two most wealthy people on planet earth. Government funding has driven our economy since the great depression not corporations.
2
@DolphinsWIthIgloos printing money? So how much money did the federal reserve print as the buyer of last resort and pump into wallstreet to form the V shaped recovery in 2020? 20 trillion dollars or 10x the money you are worried about spending on actual jobs and roads. Yet I don't remember seeing you complain when the federal reserve became the buyer of last resort in 2020 for the first time in history. You need to study how our financial system works before you complain about printing money. Try googling Dylan Radigan on the topic.
2
Yes because strawberry and blackberries should be the top priority in a water shortage.🤣🤣🤣🤣
2
Classic crony capitalism privatize the profits and socialize the costs.
2
@ligametis don't worry they are not once in 100 years anymore they are now once in a decade or less. You can thank the ff industry and the new oil pipelines we keep building
2
@rom I am saying physics hasn't changed. It is still just as powerful an explosive today.
2
@quantuman100 well that makes it so much safer to pipe through the cities.
2
@quantuman100 it also leaked out of the pipes used for natrual gas alot easier as it is a much smaller single structure. Much harder to transport and store.
2
@VFAHSN what makes you think I like methane?
2
@VFAHSN actually I do collect my own wood off my 270 acre wood lot. More then enough natrual dead wood to heat my house. But I would highly recommend geothermal heat pumps for those of you who dont have your own wood lot. Or you can install solar thermal plus storage. There are plenty of alternatives to ff.
2
Yup but they will just call it once in a generation forgetting to mention they mean mayfly generations.
2
Time to invert in heat pumps and renewable energy
2
@zoomzoom3950 you find demand side economics funny?
2
This is the result of wealth gaps growing to the point where only the wealthy can afford to live in our society
2
Perfect time to do it. Plenty of time to install renewable energy to replace it. Too bad Germany wasted time on Norstream 2 pipeline.
2
@jabirmahdi3546 you need to look at reality per megawatt renewable energy employees more people than ff power plants
2
@bill8711 you are making one heck of a strawman argument there. You need to stop drinking and posting I think...
2
@cowboyx9380 you mean the golden age of growth after WWII in the USA when the top marginal tax rate was 90 percent? Nope that was horrible from the 40s to the 70s. What changed oh right we switched to trickle down economics in the 80s... Lower taxes and the companies stopped reinvesting the earing in the company and gave them to wallstreet instead.
2
@SafwanNet wow you have no argue against putting back half the 14% rate so you try to make the case that someone is arguing for 100% taxation. Amazing how poor a strawman argument that is.
2
Could this reporting have any more corporation bias???
2
Amazing how the only tool they think will accelerate the transition to renewable energy is the market. But Germany didn't wait for the free market to build the new LNG port the government was able to figure out how to accelerate that ff energy infrastructure project
2
Nuclear power is literally the most expensive form of new energy generation. The free market has spoken nuclear power lost get over it.
2
@michaelfried3123 no need for violence just join the movement for the people's party and fight for rank choice voting. We can vote them out of office of we just get a non currupt party and rank choice voting
2
@tedpiano 🤣🤣🤣 sure we wouldn't want a society where we had good things like they have in the rest of the developed world.
2
So you want NATO to start WWIII
2
@davej7458 clearly you don't understand what illegitimate means.
2
@chuckdawit have you followed the cost reductions in renewable energy over the last decade? You might as well give up on the ICE because the first prototypes of the Model T failed to meet modern standards If you mean that the German government lacked the political will to end ff subsidies that only proves we need to have better leadership.
