The failure to control this outbreak and turning it into a pandemic that killed 200,000 Americans is a failure of our leadership. We have 4% of the global population and 25% of the global deaths from covid because trump believes in magic not science.

So far Tom has spend $200 plus million dollars of his own money on a political campaign. That same money would have built 200 megawatts of solar power. Yup Tom has definitely put his money to the best effect to fight the climate crisis.

I donated to her campaign and considers voting for Tulsi until she backed away from Medicare for All and came up with her own worse plan. But her off ff act is a good plan to switch the USA over to renewable energy. Bernie Sanders has a more aggressive plan for renewable energy but Tulsi Gabbard was there first with her bill. I suspect she stands a good chance of being VP on a Sanders ticket.

Tulsi has the best bill to end those in her off ff act which doesn't get nearly enough support. Everytime she is questioned about the green new deal Tulsi needs to point out her bill calls for 80% renewable energy by 2027 and 100% by 2035 and she should challenge all the co sponsors of the green new deal to co sponsor her off ff act when she reintroduces it in this new session of Congress.

Biden refused to offer the voters any policy they want in exchange for their votes. So yes playing populists is the lowest of bars but the corporate Democrats can't even clear that low bar.

But a representative government means that politicans need to earn the votes by actually supporting policies that the majority of the voters want. Biden has made it clear he doesn't support policies the majority of voters want in some cases over 80% of the democratic party voters are not in agreement with Joe Biden on the issues. In that case he isn't entitled to my vote because he doesn't represent me.

The establishment has to blame Bernie Sanders supporter because the only alternative would be to accept that announcing you will veto Medicare for All during a pandemic was bad politics. That being apposed to policy which over 80% of the voters in your own party want is not the path to victory. The establishment can't accept that they are wrong on policy so they voter shame instead.

  27. @Van Ng it is gaslighting because it makes renewable energy out to be just as dangerous and not the way to avoid the 6th mass extinction. He claims to be concerned about the death of birds while his entire fortune is built off of the death of birds in much higher numbers by his sky scrappers. The reality is that renewable energy is the cleanest cheapest form of new energy available today. To argue we shouldn't use the cleanest most environmentally friendly source of energy because it had an environmental footprint is gaslighting 101.

Just think about that for a moment the fate of the Democratic primary pivoted around a state that the nominee can't win come November. So basically everyone who changed their mind based on Biden winning in SC actually let a Republican state pick the democratic party nominee.

Last time I check the USA didn't have to go to war with states over resources. As to rare earth they are not actually limited in supply. Your argument is paramount to saying we will have to fight wars for computer components. But the reality is if you want to end the oil wars in the middle east you end the demand for oil. The way to do that is to make energy a local resource renewable energy does that.

Now if the media would actually call out the real looting which is happening in DC by our elected officials we might see some change. But instead they worship the bipartisan looting of the treasury by wallstreet. Billionaires have looted trillions of dollars between the "cares act" and the federal reserve printing money for billionaire. The stock market has hit record highs while 50 million Americans have lost their jobs and are looking at eviction. But the media and people like you focus on the protests being pissed off and things getting out of control which is a symptom of the failure of leadership and see a problem not a symptom. The problem isn't BLM the problem is that after all this time of peaceful protests the government has done nothing to address their grievances. More citizens are being kill by police and people continue to loose their homes. While the ruling class and the donor class keep looting the treasury and pumping up stock prices with the fed the buyer of last resort for junk bonds and stocks something that the federal reserve has literally never done before.
