Trump let's then build a pipeline to bring in the dirty tar sand oil from Canada but you can't order perception drugs? Oh wait I forgot big business profits in both cases.....
3
Wallstreet investors don't care about people or business as the avg person see it. They want the market to move up and down so they can guess when it will fall and profit off it. To them recession and depression are good so long as they are not holding the stocks for the fall. Greed is all they know the rest of humanity doesn't matter to them.
3
Well once you get big corporations championing the trade deal you know it will be bad for the American workforce.
3
@brian2440 the latest study said we can be 100% renewable in the USA for $7.8 trillion invested. To put that in perspective the estimate for the iraq oil war alone over the last 2 decades is $7.5 trillion. So for the same money we now spend fighting wars for energy in the middle east we could be building new jobs and renewable energy at home. Don't be fooled the current president said with respect to Syria we are definitely taking the oil on national TV. So yes the middle east wars are wars for oil alone and we are committing war crimes by definitely taking the oil. Here is more information on the renewable energy study. https://cleantechnica.com/2019/12/22/100-wind-water-solar-energy-can-should-be-the-goal-costs-less/
3
@brian2440 how much has the cost of renewable energy dropped since 2015? Spoiler alert much more then in half and batteries continue to drop. The reality is when we invest on the scale we need to it will continue to drive the costs down. It is called economy of scale and when you go from a fraction of a percent of global energy to 100% you can definitely expect to see those cost savings.
3
@Blue-ke9fu I wouldn't bet against how stupid the establishment can be. Definitely when it involves their ego.
3
If you don't like the cost of gas buy a Tesla. You will get an American made car that costs 1/5 as much to fuel with electricity
3
Senator Graham just said they will help the unemployed more over his dead body. Cenk just did a video of it. I fear the ruling class is so out of touch this will end as a repeat of history. The last time someone started it by telling the peasants let them eat cake. I fear we are very close to that ending today with senators taunting the working class.
3
@ailblentyn if that business was in Norway it would not go under. Their government said if you where financially stable before the pandemic you will be whole after it is over. But here our government is more interested in repeating the consolation of wealth we saw after the 2008 crash. Over the last month there where actually 15 new billionaires in the USA while 30 million Americans filed unemployment. The government here has made their choice they have used the global pandemic as a device to increase their wealth. Check out Dylan Ratigan on the Jimmy Doore show he has done a great job explaining how this is being used by the same people who profited off foreclosing on 6 million Americans in 2009. Steve Manchin played a key roll then to.
3
Yang is in it for the same reason now. He is denying Bernie Sanders 5% of the vote.
3
@H1TMANactual I have read plenty on the resources to transition to a renewable energy future. I tried to find out who funds the blog you linked to and was unable to find out anything about the credibility of the author so no thanks I won't waste my time reading something which is probably just ff industry propaganda.
3
@H1TMANactual oh I see it is the nuclear industry which funds you. The single most expensive form of new energy production which hasn't been able to deal with it's waste for over half a century. Nope we don't need to waste any more resources on the nuclear industry.
3
Bernie / Tulsi is the ticket I would like to see. Tulsi gets 20% of the trump supporters in a recent poll which is the highest of any Democratic candidate. She wins a very high percentage of the military personnel vote. That would crush the gop in the general election.
3
Glad to see you celebrate the fact that we have 4% of the worlds population and 25% of the worlds deaths from covid.
3
I am pretty sure trump ran on how he hated the way the society was running... his entire platform was bases on changing the country... so if anyone hated the old normal it was the right wing.
3
Please move the half hour to Kentucky and run again the self proclaimed Grim Reaper of the Senate in the 2020 race. We need to replace this currupt tool of the doner class with a Justice Democrat.
3
Victorious Yankee well that is a stupid comparison if I ever heard one. He beats trump in every single poll done.
3
I know times are tough for people and that most people can't handle a $400 emergency. But I think most people can afford to take a single day off from work. 🤣🤣🤣
3
Same as when the GOP voted a dozen times to repeal the ACA under Obama but refused to repeal it under trump.
3
Give up the voter shaming it failed you in 2016. When you failed to learn from history you will repeat it.
3
@CB-db1qx There is a very interesting thing about this type of tribalism. Once these people figure out they where betrayed they will turn on the GOP with massive rage and vengeance. I don't know what it will take for them to wake up but you saw it with these people and John McCain. I knew Republicans like her who voted for McCain when he ran for president. But the same people would attack him relentlessly when he apposed trump calling him the worst things you can fathom. They are a fickle crowd once they see the prices actually increasing on goods from the trump tariffs and the economy collapses because of his trade wars they will hate him and everyone around him as much as they love him today. I actually fear these people will turn ugly when this all falls apart on them. I don't want to see how ugly that could be.
3
@Eye_Of_Ra_777 you can look up the studies on it even the libertarian Koch brothers funded study shows it saves trillions. Or just look at the fact that every other developed country has some form of single payer system and they pay half per capita then we pay today. If you think Americans like paying a for profit insurance company only to have them refuse to cover your healthcare when you get sick you are the one out of your mind. I have been through the denial of service claims and didn't enjoy the process at all.
3
Replace Nancy Pelosi with Maxine Waters and watch how quickly trump is bounced out of the Whitehouse and into the Big House. Don't worry we will continue to give him publicly funded housing just with a few bars added.
3
@giauscaesar8047 keep dreaming. The DNC would rather lose to trump than win with Bernie Sanders. The DNC and trump both want to protect the for profit health insurance companies donors. But with over 10 million Americans filing unemployment and losing their health insurance in the middle of a pandemic everyone knows Medicare for All is the only solution. The health insurance companies have already said that they will raise rates 40% next year. So tell me how do you pay 40% more for your health insurance next year?
3
@jantonio55 the sad part is that he would need anyone to tell him what you and I can figure out for ourselves.
3
Trump knows all the best criminals
3
It is like watching the good old days when Emma was allowed to go out in public. Never thought I would miss Emma at a trump rally...
3
@Exodus26.13Pi Obama had more jobs and great ecominic growth than trump. The reason we have record high unemployment and 180,000 dead 25% of the worlds deaths with only 4% of the worlds population is because trump fucked up the handling of covid. All we have to do is look at other countries which protected the citizens jobs having them furrowed not fired while the country's went into a real shutdown and the government enforced using PPE to the bungling that happened here in the USA. Other countries are now opening up their businesses and the people are back to work here we have 50 million Americans who have filed unemployment and 180,000 plus who are dead. That is the legacy of Trump
3
Glad you now accept the reality of the situation. The good news is transitioning to renewable energy will not only create far more jobs then the ff industry has today but it will also end the need to fight wars for oil. The best part of renewable energy is wind and solar are local resources everywhere on the planet.
3
@govindraghavan9493 Medicare for All is new and untested? On what planet do you live? Every other development nation has some sort of single payer system which provides better healthcare at half half the cost. Here in the USA we have "tested" Medicare for decades it is the single most popular program our government runs. Please go visit someone over 65 and ask them if they have ever heard of Medicare you will be shocked to find out that not only have they heard of it but they like it and don't want the government to take it away. As to taxing the wealthy not working you need to study history from the 40s to the 80s we taxed the wealthy and had the greatest economic growth in this country. Only when the GOP came up with the myth of job creators and trickle down economics did we see the owners extract wealth and ship jobs overseas. Because if you tax personal wealth the owners have an incentive to reinvest the earning of the company back into the company and the workers. When you don't tax personal wealth greed takes over and the revenue spent growing the company or employee payroll simply becomes a cost to be minimized in the pursuit of more personal wealth. The myth that wealthy people will flee the country is just fearmongering. The reality is the top 400 wealthiest people in the USA have a combined net worth of 3 trillion dollars which has more then doubled since the great recession. While half of all Americans still have not recovered from the great recession in 2008. Our current system of giving tax breaks to the wealthy elite is an epic failure which has distorted our manufacturing capacity and reduced this nation into a class based society where the barrons on industry once again have more wealth and power them anytime in the history of this country. It has created greater income inequality them we had in a century ago. You need to study how the 1920s ended because it will show you the fact that our current income inequality won't end well either. You also don't understand the meaning of a jobs guarantee in the green new deal it means that we will make sure there is retaining for the coal miners and opportunities for them. Unlike Mitch McConnell and Trump who make promises they failed to keep saying they would protect the coal industry. Then when the coal mine goes bankrupt and refused to pay the out of work mines for their last 2 weeks labor where was Mitch McConnell or Trump? Nowhere it was Bernie Sanders who supported the protesting coal miners because he knew the miners where correct that the first debt which needed to be paid with that last train load of coal was the labor to fill the train not some billionaires loan to the company that refused to pay the hard working. Coal miners. So the federal jobs guarantee means that the coal miners don't get left on the track blocking a train. Instead they are paid and retained with the skills that our new economy needs. Ultimately they will be hired by some new private sector company. Maybe as a wind turbine technician or in all carbon battery storage manufacturing. But you are wrong if you believe it means that the government will take over the means of production and employ people directly that is just right wing propaganda. You need to do your homework.
3
We need Richard Ojeda to run in that primary as a Justice Democrat.
3
@spanaker Rome once ruled the world with an army that marched on foot. Technology advances and oil like the Roman army will be left in the history books
3
Everrett Kleen so what you are saying is that you only believe that happens to you or someone you know. Got it. You are an example of those who refuse to learn from others and is doomed to repeat the mistakes of others. I hope you enjoy your stay in the ICU because it is definitely in your future.
3
TheTechnocrat78 Haris will be running for president that is a given at this point.
3
TheTechnocrat78 http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/329404-poll-bernie-sanders-countrys-most-popular-active-politician https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.newsweek.com/bernie-sanders-most-popular-politician-655315%3Famp%3D1&ved=2ahUKEwidsPnA2r_bAhURv1MKHTYqDJ4QFjAAegQIBxAB&usg=AOvVaw3_9lHMBqo8-3iF0FX3uvWa&cf=1 There are two sources and almost a year appart.
3
Rocky Road you should really study history. The colonists didn't pay for the tea before they dumped it in boston harbor. You really do sound like modern day Tories. I am not justifying the violence and property damage but after months of peaceful protests you can't expect that the people won't get frustrated with the government refusing to address their grievances and in fact ramping up the authoritarian response. When the government represses citizens they will lash out any way they can. You can see this the world over.
3
@heinzguderian9980 it is desperation not stupidity. What choice do they have vote for the fake populist or the candidate who tells them nothing will fundamentally change? They know the current system is broken the last 3 election cycles where won by the candidate offering change. Neither one of them delivered but they did atleast offer it up. Biden can't even bring himself to do that he like Hillary simply wants you to vote to get trump out of office. Well that will happen on the first day so what happens after that? Biden needs to offer us something we want after January 21st if he wants us to be excited and risk our lives in a pandemic voting for him.
3
Rocky Road nope. The Boston Tea Party was a political protest that occurred on December 16, 1773, at Griffin’s Wharf in Boston, Massachusetts. American colonists, frustrated and angry at Britain for imposing “taxation without representation,” dumped 342 chests of tea, imported by the British East India Company into the harbor. https://www.history.com/topics/american-revolution/boston-tea-party The British East India Company was not responsible for the taxation they where simply a business trying to earn a living. No different then the businesses you are so worried about losing their property which should definitely be insured anway. Yet today we celebrate the colonialist for distorting that companies property.
3
@Exodus26.13Pi yup before it became a failed oil state largely because of US sanctions. But thanks for playing it proves how brainwashed you are.
3
Tokenetta you should check out tar sands if your afraid of killing birds. They actually have to run air cannons to drive then away because they kill soo many that try to land there. Oh and if the choice is a wind mill might kill a bird or our military fights oil wars that defiantly kill human beings including American troops I know where I want my energy needs to come from.
3
We can reach some of those people if we say focused on the issues instead of feeding into the fear mongering which is dividing the nation. This is a sign of what scares the GOP establishment because they know if we stick together on our common ground common citizens have the power of numbers. Very similar to how Bernie Sanders got Amazon to pay $15 starting next month to all employees as the starting wage.
3
So much for calling the Republicans pro life. Guess 2 to 4% of the pregnancies ending in abortion would be perfectly acceptable to doctor oz.
3
Jordan wind and solar are now less expensive then FF. So it isn't just the environmental issues and the fact that we employ more people with alternative energy but it also cost the customers less money for power. Driving an electric car cost about 1/5 the fuel costs of a FF car. These pipelines will be closing down over the next 10 years as everyone switches over to electric cars.
2
Dylan I enjoy your videos. But I think there is a much more important question we should be asking right now. The world energy market is changing it is only a mater of how fast. The technology and production equipment for solar panels is mostly all developed in the USA and sold to China. Now they are the ones profiting from mass production. Do we want to sit back and watch other nations develop and profit from the development and production of wind solar battery storage and electric vehicles? Or do we learn from the mistake of selling off the solar panel technology and build the next generation technologies here in the USA?
2
They have to sell all that oil before wind solar and electric cars make it value less. Can't loose all that income from the plant killing ff.
2
@stormwatcher59 fortunately in a democracy you only need the majority not 100% even with our electoral college that holds true so the few holdouts are not the problem to worry about.
2
@brian2440 have you ever seen how much electric we use to refine oil? Reducing our energy demand isn't that hard. But the term was global energy needs. You are miss interrupting the statement
2
Here we go again making more super fund sites. How many trillions of dollars will the federal government have to spend to clean these companies up in 20 years. Has everyone forgotten the 80s?????
2
@kensmith5694 Hillary won on that same platform. Oh wait...
2
It is ok when Bernie Sanders starts crushing Biden in the actually primaries he will be the "comeback kid" crushing the establishment "front runner" their heads will explode in real time as they try to find a way to spin his wins as non important. I look forward to how silly the corporate media will look. Bernie Sanders going on Joe Rogan podcast will have more influence than all of the debates combined. The debate was just political theater watched by roughly the same number of people. The alternative media interview is over an hour of Bernie taking his message to the voters.
