  1. +SenszR you know if I borrow a healthy dose of your opinion and stick it in my 180bhp car I should be able to take a few 911's and some of the slower Ferraris ;) let's say we take two 675LTs. Make one heavier and reduce the power to match the power to weight of the GT3RS and simulate the effect of weight on acceleration, cornering and braking… would you still say the lower powered car could match the normal car? Or because you're a fanboy only the GT3 RS can defy the law of physics? For sure the GT3RS is a stunning car but it's not in the same performance league as a 675LT. Twisty roads and race tracks will narrow the performance gap but both cars have similar performing aero packages for high speed stuff. The rear engined 911 will have better traction out of slow corners which helps but overall the power to weight deficit is too much. That's the real world not fanboy fantasy.

  2. Ya boy Krokos using eyes to look that's how. It's such an awkward design. What a total waste of £1.5 million. Better, faster cars, prettier cars can be had for a 1/4 or less.

  4. Дмитрий Т The Chiron will beat the Regera off the line to 100kph, but after that the Regera should overtake it quite comfortably. According to the figures the Regera hits 200kph in 6.6sec. Thats fast! Bloody hell, both are insanely fast!

  10. There are quite a few taxi drivers in my area using a Tesla Model S. 300 miles of range in a day, with maybe a top up during a break is perfectly fine. Other than another Tesla there aren’t any options. Almost all the others are using hybrids.

  12. Jabber 1974 this isn’t the first Mclaren to burst into flames while being driven. It’s obviously a rare occurrence but if it is a factory defect this could bite Mclaren hard.

  18. The Taycan might be better built and be a Porsche etc but You’re right about the Tesla infrastructure and I have no doubt I’d choose a model S over a Taycan for practicality sake. The model S currently has far better range and when the Plaid version is released next year it will have over 1100hp and over 500 miles of range (if the claims are true). So the Tesla isn’t a Porsche but in the real world that’s a minor concern to most people. Porsche need to sort out the range on the Taycan so it becomes a complete package.

  30. I 100% agree with your assessment of the EV infrastructure and you can bank on most of the world never ever being able to sustain a mass EV rollout. It's pure fantasy to believe the poorest parts of the world will ever go electric. Millions of people don't even have electricity in their homes, let alone the infrastructure for EV.

Christiano Adams g wagon for sure since it’s tuned :) the reason I’m so keep to see Senna dyno numbers is because the real world figures for the 720S are almost exactly what the claimed figures are for the Senna. The Senna is clearly quicker so it must be making at least 840hp but as yet I haven’t seen anything to verify that. There are a few 720S dyno videos so we know that it’s making way more than claimed.

  35. No Tim. There is need to jump on the bandwagon just because it rumbles past. Cars like the GR Supra and Yaris are fads YouTubers buy for perceived clicks snd then flog them off when interest dwindles. This is the same scenario.

  37. The issue with this car is that if you fully spec one it comes to a shade under £120k. If you fully spec a M5 Competition Pack it’s about £5k cheaper. I know the two cars aren’t the same but would you choose the much more powerful, quicker and more practical M5 or spend more for “style”? I know I’d choose the M5. If the M850i is already up to £120k, the M8 is going be EXPENSIVE.

  38. They won’t for 95% of us not giving up our ICE cars. I could drive from home to the top of Scotland without refuelling, just taking comfort breaks, and that’s just over 700 miles. Why would I give that up just to virtue snivel?

  42. And it still doesn’t come close to filling my cars tank with 61 litres of fuel in 5 minutes and then not worrying about refuelling for the next 700 miles. Tesla is definitely heading in the right direction though.

  45. The crazy thing about 850i is that it starts at £99.5k. The M5 starts at £89.7k. Add a few packages and options and the 8 series is up over £110k already, making the faster M5 seem like a bargain, even with a few options etc.

  46. If you watch a Top Gear YouTube video in which Chris Harris interviews a guys from the National Grid, apparently they are quite confident that the system will cope when the time comes. It’s a good interview. Worth the watch.

  50. I agree. Optioned up the 600LT falls into 720S price territory and the 720S is much more powerful, faster and a better all round useable car.
