  2.  @johnstaker6706  The 720S matches the 918 for in gear acceleration and the Senna is quicket than the 720S. The Senna is also probably 15 to 20 seconds quicker round the ring too so yes we saw the 918.

  3. That single display looks appalling when there isn't the bare minimum on it (or it's off). It looks better when in full use though. I think overall, it's a pretty awesome car.

  4. It's not my choice but IMO spraying the car that colour is a fail, Tim. It looks gorgeous and iconic in that Mercedes colour and you might just have devalued the car. However, it's obviously 100% your choice and likely the car is half way through the process already.

  9. You're confused. It hasn't started. You can't order the 8 series yet. Only from the end of August. Any 8 series you see being built now is likely a demonstrator.

  10. Honestly, EV range needs to be dramatically improved and the charging infrastructure needs a massive upgrade ASAfP. In my diesel car I can get from my home in Surrey to the north of Scotland (700 miles) without refueling and still have between 50-100 miles of range left. A Taycan with 500 miles of range would be amazing.

  16. Starting like a sprinter who trips out of the block and then playing catch up is poor form for a massive company like VW. They should be able to hit the ground running with the resources and financing they have. How do they expect people to spend £31k plus options on a 100kw Golf that can only do a real world 124 miles to the charge? That's sure as hell not going to tempt me out of my diesel, which can get over 700 miles on a tank..... If I really wanted an EV for commuting I'd just buy a 1 year old Nissan Leaf for £15k. I don't care if it's ugly as sin! A modern EV needs to have decent range that's semi comparible to an equivalent ICE car and most manufacturers are failing miserably. cars like this require a family to own an extra car, one for short journeys and one for longer journeys. One ICE car does does it all. All this Golf is doing is competing with other EV cars with similar spec and not with traditional cars... IMhO :)

  19. Shmee150 Tim. I know it’s purely your choice but IMhO (unless the Ford GT does indeed appreciate in value) the GT just isn’t that special, and it’s not that quick either. The GT2 RS would have been a better choice if you could have got an allocation. IMO :)

  29. She definitely made the right choice of car. It’s just right for her. Not sure why her alternatives were the A3 and 2 series, rather than the A4 or 4 series convertibles? The A3 and 2 series aren’t in the same market class.

  41. That was very interesting. I’d love to be able to go there one day and watch my own M5 be built… dreams :) any chance of getting that M5 on a dyno to see what that particular car makes? It would be interesting to see how much over 600hp this car makes and if there is some consistency in power figures with other M5s. Cheers.

  45. Dragtimes just published a video in which the Huracan 610-4 roll raced a 488 and narrowly beat it. I'm not holding much hope for the Pista in it's upcoming battles with the Performante, let alone the 720S. Obviously we only ever hear what a Ferrari laptime around Fiorano is so we don't get an idea of how fast a car is relation to it's competitors. I'm betting the Performante would eclipse the Pista around Fiorano...
