  3. Why not test on a tarmac road in cold temperature? That is more relevant to the UK where only a small percentage of time in winter there is snow on a few roads.

  5. Fantastic Steve! Like it's big brother, that M3 will almost certainly put down fair bit more than the quoted figure on a dyno... I like it, it has a thuggish brute look to it in contrast with the more delicate, pretty Alfa.

  6. It doesn't look as good, but the interior is quality, well laid out, has up to date technology/functionality and ergonomics and you can spec it to look a lot better than the one in the video. Once you're sitting in the cabin, you know you're in a good, very well made car that drives beautifully. BMW have chosen this interior, becase thats what they want. They don't care about internet trolls who can't afford the car and would never buy one anyway.

  7. I'd choose a new X5 M50D over any other large SUV. The new interior and tech are a huge step on from the last generation and bang up to date.The driving dynamics are better than anything this side of a Cayenne in the large SUV market.

  8. I don't believe there is a gap between the X1 and X3, apart from the alpha numeric X2 part. Why not just make the M sport X1 slightly more sporty for those who feel the need? It's obviously a damned fine car, but I don't really see the point in it as a stand alone product. I think BMW are just being OCD about having 1-8 in their line up.

  10. My 320D can give me 750 miles of range in 5 minutes and I can find any number of fuel stations. I think I’ll just drive it until I can’t anymore.

FSXgta Does WINTER mean the roads are automatically covered in snow and ice my friend? :) Like I said, more relevant to the UK is wet, cold tarmac, because in most areas it doesn't snow much, if at all. Winter tyres are also designed to be used on dry tarmac in temperatures below 7 degree Celsius due to the softer rubber compound, not just on snow.

  15. Sukun Paul it does not. Check the videos. Above 100mph the P100D accelerates slower than a BMW i8. Over a mile a Hurican is several car lengths ahead.

  19. I love this car but the claims it's quicker than the M5 Comp are laughable. it's over 100kgs heavier and has the same engine and running gear. It's scientifically impossible for it to be quicker. Motorsport magazine did a 0-200kph run and the M8 Comp too a shade over 12s. The standard M5 has done the same sprint in the 10s so the myth is debunked.

  24.  @suhailcassim7017  Don't be silly. The stock F90 M5 produces anywhere from about 630-650hp (at the crank/flywheel) depending on the car and the dyno. The Competition is probably around 670-680hp.

  30. stubones Not that I’ll ever be able to afford one but it just doesn’t excite me. Maybe I’ve watched too many 765LT videos. My opinion, like 99.9% of people watching, is irrelevant anyway. Hopefully it sells well so Mclaren can stay strong and healthy.

  44. The RS6 and M5 are justifiable on moral and ecological grounds because both are made by companies that meet their emissions quotas in accordance with the law. Cars like the RS and M models are offset by EVs and hybrids. edit** The M5 comp LCI starts at £102325 in the UK.

  49. derbigpr500 Some of what you said is right, but not all. The Tesla P100D hits 60mph in about the same time as the Huracan at 2.5 to 2.6 sec, but after that the Lambo destroys it. The Rimac Concept 1 though, would murder the Huracan over a standing 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile or for as long as the two cars have power and a road. The Tesla is a very good car, and is obviously a work in progress.
