  8. I just watched a video (RKTunes) where a stand M3 (non comp) was dyno'd at +-450 wheel horse power. Using a wheel horse power to flywheel/crank hp calculator, that works out at around 530hp. At a guess the M3/4 competition is making at least 550hp minimum.

  13. The 30D variant is going to feel wheezy and lethargic with a minimum of 2.4 tons to haul around. The 50D will be the one to have of the launch spec cars.

  15. Kenneth Martin It would only dust it off the line to 60mph due to the AWD, but the 570S actually faster to 100mph, by a tenth, so you're only partially correct.

  17. Over enhanced looks aren't everything. Its about quality, ergonomics, tehnology, ease of use and enhancing the driving experience. A good looking interior doesnt mean it functions well. The merc and Audi interiors definitely look a bit better, but they don't function better. The interior of my E91 looks seriously dated, but the quality is good, the ergonomics are good and its still a great place to be. Overall this new 5'er is a great car, its going to be interesting to see how it stacks it up against its rivals.

  21. Considering the actual M3/M4 actually packs around 490bhp at the flywheel and not the 425 claimed, whats this motor actually pushing? Most dyno tests are getting around 415bhp at the wheels (go find the videos yourself if you dont believe me) which equates to the +- 490bhp figure stock. Unless this GTS is pushing out well over 500bhp, its no more powerful than the stock M3/M4.

  39. I've always thought the R33 shape was the nicest. I'd love a R33 shell with as much of a R35 interior and full (Litchfield tuned) R35 running gear. Basically an R35 with a R33 body.

  40. Kenneth Martin The 675LT dusts an Aventador SV  in a straight line (see Salomondrin's video from 2 weeks ago), so no, a new GT2 would not dust it. In fact the 675LT would comfortably beat it. The GT2 will be RWD and weigh more than the LT. I'm sure someone will "test" them when the time comes :)

  42. Nikola Shopov Try RWD in bad conditions and you're going nowhere :) The new xdrive system can put 100% of the drive to the rear wheels if needed and send power to the front when needed. Best of both worlds :) They're even putting Xdrive in the new M5......

  43. ***** Its definitely an option, but I think as buyers we have to look at the overall vehicle, how it suits your lifestyle, your driving style and needs. I'm pretty used to the BMW interior and the idrive system. At least we have choices :)
