Brendan O'Neill is impressive. He is a very astute thinker and a clear, concise speaker

I hope Kier Starmer learns from this that there is no satisfying the unhinged mob & he should stop even trying; stop pandering & stick to reality

Why are you calling Laurel Hubbard 'she'? He is a man. We need to defend the truth. The reason the women weightlifters answered 'no thank you' is clearly because they are unable to answer that honestly without being witch-hunted & also it's it's perfect response- no thank you to men in women’s sports. Emily Campbell was asked about another weightlifter in the question before so clearly they had no issue talking about other competitors.

@mohamedabdou9660 the word Feminism is a clue. Fenimism centres women & women's needs. Do you think BLM should focus on white people's needs?
27
@SugarFreeWorldOrder I'm not confused RD. Feminism will have mixed impacts for men, eg of course it impacts men's employment prospects if they now need to compete against women as well as against other men. Personally I believe that breaking down the patriarchy & regressive gender norms would be of overall benefit for men but my point is - fenimism doesn't need to concern itself with what's best for men. It's not about men. That doesn't mean feminists don't care about men & they may be involved with other actions that support men (eg I am very involved in suicide prevention which men are disproportionately at risk of) - but our feminism is about & for women.

Great to see Genevieve getting a wider platform and Reduxx getting the kudos it deserves. And thank you Brendan, you are one of very few men who understand the degree of the affront and offence to women and the risks to women and children from gender theory
19
This really is true (I have worked as a Prevent lead)
16
@CalumDarroch You can't deny the existence of something that doesn't exist? Tell that to atheists. But somehow you acknowledge class? You accept a class system but not a patriarchal system? What would you say to someone who denied that? Should working class men just improve themselves & work harder? How do you explain women being more likely to experience poverty? How do you explain women doing the majority of unpaid labour? How do you explain women being more likely to be imprisoned for non violent offences? How do you explain crimes against women being less likely to be prosecuted? Hpw do you explain public funding being more likely to benefit men eg through transport & park planning? Etc
13
Give this woman an award. And thank you Brendan for not closing your eyes to this depraved social psychosis. It's really relieving to hear your background knowledge & understanding in your questions & comments
12
@CalumDarroch my chippiness is a direct reaction to your rude, condescending response to my initial respectful reply & that continues. You are the one making assumptions & generalisations about me & my background & opinions. So I have lost any motivation to converse with you. All the best.
12
Their biggest problem is they've left the Left. I can't recognise any actual left wing politics there.
10
@CalumDarroch I'm professionally successful & doing generally well so I don't recognise that. I am fortunate to not feel personally held back in any of my employment settings by my sex & I am respected in my setting & my field. However recognising the patriarchy is seeing how it operates systemically & that often doesn't mean direct discrimination. The patriarchy isn't a shadowy cabal, making plans, it's a system that we all live in. In many cases it also is oppressive to men. Have you read Invisible Women? For me this is very effective in showing how women are discriminated against on a systemic basis, that system being the patriarchy. I would really encourage anyone who denies the existence of the patriarchy to read it & I'd love to hear your opinions on it if you do.
10
@CalumDarroch Ah lovely, another belch of hypocrisy 😂 Let's leave this shall we. This isn't a great medium for debate, probably neither of us are as twatty in real life as we are coming across to each other here so ok, leaving off all the mutual passive aggression, I do wish you all the best- see you about.
10
@CalumDarroch Jesus, Callum, you really WANT to hate me, don't you? Well, whatever makes you happy

She is Posie Parker
9
There's no confusion here - she always wanted safe spaces for women & she still does, what part of this is hard to understand?
9
@agschool708 do you feel disadvantaged by not being able to enter women's hospital wards, refuges, toilets, changing rooms etc? If men have their own spaces too how are they disadvantaged? Even though men don't face the same risks from women that women do from men, most men still appreciate the privacy & dignity of single sex spaces
9
Yeah perfect solution, sure women would never win or even qualify & wouldn't have the opportunity to show female excellence but so what eh?
8
@ericwedin4154 you mean you only want to watch male sports. Well guess what, you can! You have the choice to only watch male sports. Eliminating sex separated sports would only serve to eliminate women's sports and what would be the benefit of that?
8
It's offensive to every single truth telling human
8
Who drove this into the police force? There are always key ideologies working at opportune times & we should identify them
8
@Tranzor Z have you read any of her work? What about it do you think is mad?
8
I wonder how those same parents felt about the industrial rape of women in the attacks. Women found dead with broken pelvic bones & horrific internal injuries
7
Legislation needs to look beyond the individual to the societal impacts & risks. I also would want this option on an individual level but the risks on a macro level are too much. As long as we have basic physical abilities than we can take our own lives without state assistance
7
Really?! Because Argentina was one of the first countries to adopt gender self ID so that would be a big development
7
Just say man
6
@cmonman3639 same. It shouldnt have gone forever but he pulled out in the worst way leaving it in a worse state
6
What's the alternative?
6
Can you quote from this interview what you see as misandrist or hateful?
6
If they get to prison they will have a hard time, that's true. But it's very unlikely that rapists end up in prison. The conviction rate is pitiful even for the small percentage which is reported to the police.
6
Women can be misogynist. People often turn against their own kind to save or elevate themselves.
6
There's so much to cover in this topic, she can't go into detail on all of it. She did briefly cover girls transing and harmful medical interventions that amount to genital mutilation
6
Biden?
5
Why not just act as an individual? Why should the state be involved?
5
I know! Its embarrassing how they can't see that. I have no idea why these MRAs hate what she's saying - they are basically identifying with predatory men
5
You can't see the difference between homosexuality and gender ideology?
5
@Tranzor Z I'd say it's more likely that her views are formed from decades of working with women who have experienced domestic & sexual abuse by men. I don't see how you can call her a misogynist? Perhaps you meant misandrist but there's no reason to think that either.
5
Yes but most judges are male, it is a legal system set up mainly by men, it is a patriarchal system. Juries are made up of men & women & both sexes are affected by misogyny & are often sympathetic to males accused of rape & biased against women victims. She doesn't mean all men and you're right that many men stand against this & as feel as angry towards rapists as feminists do. She isn't trying to pit men against women, she's taking a systemic view
5
@andrewrobinson2565 you can, actually. Listen to detransioners and their stories. Look at men who honesty look about their autogynaephilia. Look at the data on how many people with autism/trauma and/or are LGB identify as trans compared to overall population. Look at how children are fed the ideology from primary school. Your son needs help, just not the help you think he does.
5
A man without his cocknballs is still a man
5
You think being put on a hospital ward next to a male sex offender doesn't matter?
5
I think you're right, it skews the dynamic & can bring out an envy & entitlement
5
Exactly. We don't know what they are doing & why because they are hiding it, not because they don't have a vision
5
Also it depends on the spirit in which it happens. If the host country, culture & citizens are respected, the entering as a guest recognised, & there is a desire to fit in and contribute, then it works. It doesn't feel like that now
4
And he's said he would chuck safeguarding & women's rights away entirely. He is contemptible
4
Plus the economic impacts which leads to further death & disease
4
I will feel more vindicated when the people who shunned me & called me an alt right conspiracy theorist (including my now ex best friend of 25 years) would apologise to me
4
Anyone who doesn't want people to read Three Men in a Boat has no soul & no joy in their heart
4
@Tranzor Z I think what you did was to misrepresent hers
4
Women of all races need to get together.
