They still do not have permission to use the long range ones though. Due to containing American made parts, even the U.K. and French donated ones are Vorboten by the USA.
2
Yet those „stated goals“ were all phoney.

Mitch McConnell says they are deliberately delaying the deal. They are putting all their bets on a Trump success and direction from him is to prevent anything happening now as Trump wants the right thing to happen on his watch,. He has McConnell‘s backing innthus. So it shows this „urgent“ situation of the boarders is not so urgent for the Republicans as they make out. That doing the right thing for the USA, for Ukraine and world order comes after personal gain. Thousands more lives can be lost than need be as lost as Long as this delaying tactic wins „glory“ for Trump. Emperor’s Clothes!
2
Still best to know where they are, or at least know they have not been sold to the highest bidder.

They are two separate roles. One has to work out military moves and possibilities, the other work out what is of interest for the people of country. How to supply the numbers of soldiers the military is asking for is the presidents Job. He said for each soldier it needs 6 tax payers, so that means his concerns also are about keeping the economy running. No easy task at times of war. He said he has economists to tackle that job, but I can see that the ultimate decision has to be his as job of President. The military does not run a country. They can make demands for what they need, but it is the government that has to work out what they can get and how. Then back to the top general to work out what he can do with what is made available. A continuous flux.

@Interglacial_optimist Sorry for your pain. Must be awful suffering such boredom when day in day out over 2 years 7 months civilians are being bombed and soldiers die defending their homeland.
2
Turkey wants it.

I appreciate that far more worrying things are going on in the USA at the moment to keep them preoccupied and busy, but I am very disappointed never the less. I do wonder if the only thing that shifts US opinion is $$$. The very idea that more assistance should not be offered because they fear Ukraine will loose and they would be unable to capitalise on what have already loaned? Maybe their Munitions industry is only just coping and the extra oders on hand of this conflict for example from Polland of $23.8B is enough for the interim. It does seem Biden is unable to show his electorate the boost this war is giving to the US economy. Trump‘s interest in a private army for him inspired by Putin’s Wagner Group is a worrying aspect only just come to light. I was only joking when I said Putin can propose a Trump Tower in Odessa and Kyiv alongside Moscow and St.Petersburg under the right conditions. After seeing Trumps recent tactics I really do wonder.
2
He hangs onto that single The Time quote from a disgruntled expolitician like it is gold dust. Brings it out several times per day. So easy to ignore more credible sources when it serves self interest.
2
My daughter came back from Sri Lanka in December. She said some hotels are exclusively full of partying Russians.
2
@petergreenwood7731 Loose and they no longer exists. It gets no lower than that!
2
Yes, and in 1943 there were massive amounts of calls within the USA for them to pull out of WW2. A huge scale PR job was undertaken to keep the people on board and continue with Boston Wars Bonds, recruitment etc.
2
He did that last time. He did nothing the first 6 months than undue everything Obama had put in place. Such a petty man. Then today, with Biden standing there, he said the previous admin was evil! No way did he show any regret for his embezzlements etc. this is the maniac the whole world is adjusting to. From caring for our shared planet to stroking his ego. So many companiy owners and governments have sold their souls..
2
@richardmarsden5610 No worries. Best let Putin holds on to his fantasy beliefs.
2
Can we turn Trump around to have more empathy for the survival of Ukraine? Maybe our King should visit Kyiv? Trump newly indicated he considers himself as the US King. He also mentioned previously he saw himself as Jesus (surviving the shooting), but it would be harder for us to materialise another Jesus.
2
@Sr.Princip “Referendums” at gun Point by a foreign power do not count. A pol held after fleeing of the local residents and deporting those captured under war conditions and without international observers does not count. Those areas are internationally recognised as Ukrainian. So get your soldiers dirty boots off their land, let the lawful residents return, then and only then can Ukraine hold referendums to see what HIS people want. But after all the evidence of the torture, abductions, rapes, murders, pillaging your troops have inflicted on those your villainous leader claimed he was “rescuing”, I doubt anyone from thise regions would choose Russian oppression over living freely in .Ukraine.
2
Also put the life of the source and family at risk.
2
Take anything Putin says with a pinch of salt. What he says depends on who he wants to dupe.
2
Yes

The West did embrace Russia. In 1991 Russia (along with Ukrsine and others) chose independence. Gorbachov opened up Russia. Only after so many years of communism they found it hard to adjust. Oiligads practicly stole the countries assets and created so much unemployment. This enabled years later Putin to take such a hold. From the onset he followed his plan to reverse the path to Glasnost. His model was Stalin and his aim to regain the Soviet regions. He wrote about it in 2021 and Kremlin Rhetorik currently reveales his true intentions.
2
And imposed talking Russian (for schooling) onto them.
2
Oh dear. Thanks for sharing.n

Turkey would not let two small mine seeker boats into the Black Sea, they would not allow submarines. I think the idea is to not escalate. No military ships not already there in their home ports. They said.
2
@williamcanfor21 I am certain he knows this. @Realist369 is just trying to act clever - or is an idiot. Or both!
2
Again my reply has been scrubbed. What? Russian appeasers are definately working hard on here.
2
Lol.
2
@Joey, yes Russian citizens have been arrested for that, but they are not likely to do it to Carlson, so he will come back (if they are not after a valuable prisoner-exchange) to swear it does not happen. As if with him being there, they will let down their guard and allow him to make any real discoveries. Propaganda and espionage are Putin‘s speciality.
2
No, I hear it at the same volume as before. It does seem to be squashed between two others, but it was before - so no different according to my ears. Here in the U.K.
2
@teddykayy maybe because the only bother this is to Russia is they have to care for thousands of evacuees. With just the one off payment of $100, plenty for them to find new accommodation! They do not have to worry about the atrocities their occupiers are committing in Ukraine. So a completely different situation. I do not think Putin really cares if those people decide they prefer to be part of Ukraine. He is quite happy to flattern his own people to ‚show his strength‘.
2
@Saleemsan Not about the person, just that voice jarred so. Just that it came day in day out and I too found the monotony of it getting annoying. And no, have not heard Tony Blair‘s voice in an age.
2
Yes, people can project lots of things, but now they have evidence to hand. Proof.
2
Is the USA really going to increase from 3.4 to 5.0% of GDP? That is quite a hike considering. I feel that will take quite a chunk out of the customs charges (Tariffs) the US importers will be paying into their treasury. Although the gain will be the sales for the US armament industry. In Part financed by the increased price due to the tariffs on the imported military quality metals.
2
Shows alliance. A return of favours. Where Russia presumably is offering something in return. North Korea is a loose cannon. Russia has nuclear and rocket knowledge, both of which Kim Yong Un Is interested in.
2
@jaymacpherson8167 England does not have a prime-minister Jay. Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales each have a First Minister, otherwise combined we have a U.K. Prime Minister in Westminster, .England. Sir Kieran Starmer is our U.K. Prime Minister.

Should read : *land grab.

@LacRagem no, not new. We have curtailed a tyrynnt before. Took many years and loads of help, but good must win over evil, so be it. BTW. Putin has been preparing for war since before 2000- Started by keeping his own Generals in Check. Those out of favour Fall out of windows. He financed a number of private armies ie Rusics . In 2014 Putin formed The Wagner Warriors in Donbass and sent in insurgents to prepare for this take over dream of his. Extended by change of law his presidency to life time tsar. Previously Chechnya a previous victim. Putin has his country on wartime footing since day one. When he took back from Ukraine the soviet nuclear weapons under agreement of protection and with previous Presidents ‚persuaded’ them to hand over their tanks and reduce their armament. The aggression of 2014 persuaded the Ukrainians to vote for rejection of the ever increasing pressure from Russia. They voted for the freedom of independence they had originally opted for back in 1991 at the disolving of the Soviet Union as did many other ex-soviet countries (including Russia also voted for independence.) Some have joined together as the Russian Federation, , but not Poland, Ukraine, Moldova, other Baltic states. Etc.
1
More proof, if needed, that Putin is going senile.
1
Lol. Big B for Billion as apposed to not so big M for million. After a few extra noughts, it get harder to imagine what that sort of money looks like!
1
The teachings of Aleksandr Dugin run parallel to Putins convictions. So any Kremlin member is likely to share those beliefs too.
1
@dimas3829 Putin’s plan all along was to invade and take Ukrainan soil. . His insurgents placed into The Donbas area and his private army The Wagner Warriers (that a reference to Hitler’s favourite composer) formed by Putin in 2014 in the Donbass specifically to stir up trouble for the Ukrainan administration with the aim to prepare for his nvasion, As a Russian at home in Ukraine said. “If Putin is liberating me why is he bombing us? He is liberating me from my home, my business and my family and loved ones.”
1
Added to that. Those living in occupied areas do NOT feel liberated. They have stollen Ukrainian’s homes and are advertising them “buy now before the prices rise later” to Russians to replace the Ukrainan families they banished to Eastern Russia with russuan as occupiers.

R u using windows?

@lifessogood2995 only because your bully boss has no respect for the law. Either humanitarian, international or home country law. His daddy’s Money paved the way, so now on the big screen he sees being big and rich gives right above respect honor and fairness.
1
Should only the highly populated areas decide what the whole of the country does? There may need to be a middle ground 50/50 using both systems maybe, but neither system alone is 100% fair in my opinion.

They were pre-warned back in Feb 2022,. Initially they though it just a threat, but had not imagined Putin would really continue with all the world watching! Then as it progress they needed to be sure and wait until Putin‘s troops and tanks were on Ukrsine's‘s soil. It was Putin that bought WAR to Ukraine, not the other way around!
1
@picklethepirate your „hand outs“ were in fact a boost to modernising your own military supplies/reserves. The weapons money stayed in the USA. Old, in part outdated and soon to expire ammunition went to Ukraine. And contra to Trump‘s rant: Most Europeans and others DONATED their tanks etc. The then shortfall for own defence orders for replacements or upgrades were made to the USA armament industry. Poland‘s armament order alone worth millions. D Trump‘s bully tactics and embarrassingly broadcasting Putin‘s dictated fabricated version of ‚facts‘ makes him appear the greatest lying and deluded „president“ ever. Does the USA no credit at all. What does.the USA gain by him and Vance openly supporting the aggressors. Vance getting in bed with the newest fascists leaning party in Europe. All under influence from Putin’s misinfirmstion programs of infiltration and electronic warfare. It is Vance, Musk and Trump’s naivety that is the biggest danger to the USA, . „From within“. To quote from Vance.
1
Keeping the new brigades separate would make sense if they are using different supplied equipment. Assuming they have been trained to the highest possible level on which ever tank etc the country training them has supplied. As Long as their allocated commanders have more battle experience.
