@edmend55. They have such a huge country, ever wondered why they need to go to war to add to it? Because warring keeps his people under control? He wants the Ukraians because they built the first soviet tanks, they built planes etc. Why has Russia this year abandoned their new super jet fighter plane production?
1
nd6pj 6 minutes ago Yes, and Churchil was for ever battling with one general or another. These people digging and making much of any conflict amongst the top desiders in Ukraine need to realise this is war, fast changing situations needing wide ranging imaginative solutions which need discussing.
1
At The BRICS Meeting Putin showed a paper note. Ever hopeful.
1
@alekseyef1714 Yes, for vodka etc, but that is not so important as the destabilisation Russia is trying to install by ferrying refugees and terrorists from Asia and africa specifically to funnel into Finnland cross boarders.
1
It was the initial draft ofbthe minerals deal that he refused to sign. When he went to Washington there had in the meantime been many changes made. The wording approved and he did go there to sign the minerals deal. There is no peace deal yet. Zelenskyy was arguing he needed security. They threw him out and, as far as we know, before any sort of deal was signed.
1
Agree this is BS. No one from the USA would hint a U.K. charity worker should go to the USA to employ locals to rebuild bombed out houses. Must be the potato snaps at work.
1
Navalny was pro-Russian. No way was he a CIA agent.
1
Except we are more than just our biological parts.
1
@superflyguy4488 Putin has already done this in the areas of Ukraine his troops control. The main real reason for Putin‘s invasion. He has conceded excavation access rights to China.
1
And from what I heard from after spineless copy cat JD Vance‘s slimy speech in North Carolina Trump may well get in. Apparently it all hinges on NC and they were lapping it up.
1
My first thought. I am not sure how big they are. Depth. From photos they look just a bit longer than tug boats. Transporters that carry tanks could surely transport one, even two? Problem there would be a suitable airport. And easily spotted both on the Rhine/Danube and the air transporter. There has to be an alternative route.

Does Ukraine issue war bonds?
1
Yes, Putin like Hitler needs to surrender, but no one wants him, so he should just take his troops home to repair Moscow’s heating pipes and get the troops back at the farms to breed chickens for egg production instead of factories for bombs.
1
What if the Russians do not want to leave their homesteads in Kurst. Will,Russia force the red cross to remove them?
1
@frankshailes3205 Plenty of ill-informed smarty-pants will in drunken stupa freely say what they would do if in charge, so to ask someone who could be more clued up on international affairs what they would do if …seems a reasonable question to ask to me, at least on this matter.
1
I would say the truth is Russia has killed far more civilians than soldiers. And that with the wave after wave system the Russians have used means far more of their soldiers have died in this war, even before they get to the line of conflict.
1
@marisabenson1222 that would be supposing he WANTED to know the truth!
1
Zelenskyy is the legitimate leader of the Ukrainian Parlament under wartime martial law Putin is a dictator. Not freely elected because he locked away or had murdered all feasible opponents. He also changed the law to allow himself to extend his terms beyond the democratic agreed two terms only. Hence no longer a free vote, but dictatorship. So he is fake. Under martial law he could be legit, but he has refused to admit he caused a war in his neighbouring land.
1
Martial law. Putin is the imposter. He murdered or imprisoned all opponents and illegally extended the usual two terms only law so he coukd vote himself back in.
1
It will take time before many are ready. They do not send them to the front after 5 or 8 days like the Russians do.
1
Clever eagles to stay away. I assume the bombed out tree lines gave them no where to nest.
1
@robertsteele474 ‚Money set aside for mortar shells.‘ Who said it was US money? I am not saying this is out of the question, but most of the money coming from the US is being spent in the USA, so likely does not cross borders. The Ukraine has received more in cash from the combined European countries and there are separate private civilians setting up funding for various specific purchases. The US dollar is in the main remaining in the US. Buying from your ammunition and armament industry.
1
„We are expected to believe“. Belarus. Says it all.
1
@user-whu What dOes WEF stand for ? President Putin is a traitor to the Russian people. He „managed“ his re-election for life. He sold them short on his ego Land grab war over their health and individual prosperity.
1
Says who?
1
Who is ‚they‘ please?
1
Those the Russians tortured and murdered in places like Bucha and most killed during the southern invasion, such as in Mariupol, Kerson etc. were civilians. Russia has been bombing towns
1
@bganonimouse2754 there are plenty that keep to the ethics and only report what they see, If second hand more sources are needed snd if not collaborated - they say so. Just two Steve Rosenberg, Lindsey Hilsum. Not ‘celebrity’ status, just doing their job.
1
@aac74 if that was the case, then Putin would never have invaded another country. He and the Kremlin have confirmed many times that they want tUkraine, Moldova, Georgia etc. reform the Soviet. Stop now and he could concentrate on improving the lives of their citizens and improving infrastructure. Have plumbing in everyone’s home instead of sending his troops overseas to loot toilets and kitchen appliences! Instead to stay in power (for personnel gain) he is setting Russia into a war ecconomy. All the money going into the war effort. It is sad, but each dictator has to invent an enemy in order to frighten the citizens into continue supporting said dictator. This is what Putin is doing!
1
@swamiranganathan4476 not from what I saw. The meeting yesterday in Paris was totally different to the awkward one in the USA last month.
1
@richardmarsden5610 i would have thought the delemma Zelenskyy finds himself in is ongoing and much more to do with booty seaking Putin determined to destroy Ukraine whilst they take control,of the people, deny their free peoples existence and steal everything they own. That is what Zelenskyy has to grappel with. Friendship and offers of help may seem allein to Putin worshipers and the concept difficult to grasp, but it does exist in the humane parts of our globe.
1
What are rainecaos please?
1
@philipmain5701 wow, I learned a new word. Had to look that one up! Although I will probably forget it again before I get the chance to use it myself. The trials and tribulations of old age!
1
@Gunni1972 It is not a daily Telegraph initiated topic. It was in our National paper too. NOT the price of eggs as such, but reporting that it is something going around in Russia. The news is that with all the things happening in Russia and Ukraine it is the price of eggs that is the hottest topic being protested about in Russia.
1
Why now?
1
@mariaharvey4177 Putin says what Trump wants to hear. Putin only wants recognition on the world stage restored. Trump obliged. Putin can perpetuate his lies now to a larger audiance with Trumps backing.
1
@alfonsoalbano120. Another lie peddled by Trump. He has been corrected by dozens of people in the know, but continues with the the same string of lies. Hence this is no misspeak, but blatant deliberate lies.
1
Maybe the 100 year thing is in anticipation that Trumps deal is that he will not allow or would vote against Ukraine joining NATO?
1
I feel he would gladly hand the whole of Ukraine over to the Russians if Putin allows him to build his dream Trump Tower in Moscow. But they could wrestle for who would be besties with Kim Jong Un. Like Jong Un, Trump is too easily flattered, to make clear headed decisions.
1
@errolkim1334 The Austrian painter elegy fits like a glove to Putin the delusional invader.
1
@maja-danmark9362 There will be more as they get nearer to areas needing liberating. Putin has been steadily working on infiltrating the Donbass region since 2014.
1
@timothykatende8484 Winter has barely begun. Make your reassessment at the end of February, just in time Putin’s 98% garanteed reelection.
1
Bad enough they are in the UN and are blocking the support of Ukraine against genocide from Putin.
1
@richardmarsden5610 Well he would say that wouldn‘t he? Does not make it true. In the same way Putin maintained he wasn’t planning an invasion into Ukrsine - right up to the day before his columns of tanks rolled towards Kyiv.
1
@martavdz4972 maybe there is external interference. There are delays, stops and start for me. An electrical storm?
1
A purring kitty cat
1
I think the Danube source is around the black Forrest, so southern Germany. It would also depend on the depth of the canal joining the Rhine to the Danube to complete a journey from the north seas to the Black Sea.
1
The next four years are nothing in comparison with this pivotal situation as to what happens in Ukraine NOW.
1
Maybe he has spent a lot if time in Germany. They say England, Frankreich etc but also: Die Schweiz and Die Türkei.
1
Re: the intro. Who owns the voice after Trump saying „fascinating“ ? And can someone translate the French for me please.
