The computer is company property, thus the management and operators are responsible for making sure the system works within the letter and intent of the law, no exceptions or excuses possible.

Forget fines, make tracking and/or exchanging of user generated data with anyone other than on that data generating users direct request after verified identity without a court order (and businesses would be prohibited from soliciting general permission to trade user generated data or including it in EULA or other user contracts) an aggravated felony on par with espionage. Then amend the corporate legislation to explicitly state that any company convicted of comitting crimes against their users or employees or subcontractors to increase profits should be automatically seized and disintegrated without shareholder compensation under Criminal Asset Forfeiture statutes as the company itself and it's assets constituted the means and tool of comitting the crimes.

  38.  @bluewater454  From a European perspective, the 2a sounds as it's purpose was not what you try assert it to be, but actually a constitutionally mandated Swizz style conscription system or, more likely, based on the English bowman system, where every able bodied citizen is expected to own, maintain and train with their own personal firearm, so that if need be, their state or the federal government can call upon the people to defend itself and allocate additional resources if need be, such as field guns etc.

  50. And, this is why criminal asset forfeiture procedures should be applied to companies that are caught breaking the laws. Treat companies as tools of the crime, just like a burglars power drill or lockpicks or a robbers firearm. Those criminals don't get their tools back once the court is done with them, so why should white collar criminals get to keep their crime tools when they will just go back to using them again in the exact same way?
