  5.  @eddiecalderone  awesome, you just mentioned of bunch of countries destroyed by the USA/Nato. Yugoslavia was a much better place when it was still Yugoslavia. It's been a mess in the region after the fall of Yugoslavia. Same with Lybia, which had the best living standards in the region under Gaddafi and look at it now. Of course I could have been an activist in Yugoslavia and Lybia, they both were socialist countries and I am a socialist (see European communism).

  6.  @eddiecalderone the USA and the UK were never against nazifascism. They liked both Mussolini and Hitler before the war. Hitler himself was inspired by the USA and UK (genocide of native Americans, colonialism, eugenics etc). A lot of Nazi scientists were saved by the USA to work for NASA for example. The USA and the UK were forced to intervene in the war, they won (they used the Left resistance movements in Italy and other countries, then tried to crush them after the war), and then wrote themselves in history books into heroes that saved the world from fascism. I know that in the USA they dont even mention Russia's huge role in defeating the Nazis. Nor the important role of Communist/ Socialist resistance. As an Italian, I have nothing to thank the USA for.

  7.  @eddiecalderone  yeah, because it is not MY view, it's just history. And most Italians who are in London are educated young people, so I expect them to know history. Btw, London is my favorite city to visit, I have been there many, many times. I would not live there because it is too expensive, but it has a place in my heart. And I know many Brits who live in Italy. They are totally different than Americans.

  8.  @eddiecalderone  Ask them if they are doing better now. I know many who say they were better off then. Of course not everybody is happy in a socialist country. Everywhere in the world there is a minority who wants to make money exploiting labor. We can find racists, supremacists, ultranationalists, etc. in every country. There is even a tiny minority in Italy who would like to bring back the monarchy. Yugoslavia was keeping all the ethnicities together under one flag. It was keeping economic inequities in check. Most citzens were better off.

  9.  @eddiecalderone  Europe is far from perfect, but it is a paradise compared to the USA. It would take me hours to tell you why I would never move to the USA. Education of the population is certainly one of them. I mean, MAGA people. Project 2025 is scary for women. The new EU government has about 40% of women, many from progressive parties. Nothing like Project 2025 is on our steps. Just the fact that Project 2025 is out in the open before elections tells alot about the state of American politics. That would be a political suicide in Europe. Do Americans even know about it before they vote??

  10.  @eddiecalderone  can I ask you what you find so beautiful about Italy? Because us Italians can see everything that is wrong with it. Complaining is a national sport, more then in the UK (they complain alot too). I mean, yeah, I guess arts and nature, but it's not like we are special in that.

Italy is the birth place of many amazing cultures precisely because it was the crossroad for so many different peoples. You need to study some history.

No politician is going to stop immigrants, not even the far right. Meloni has ASKED for more immigrants than any other government 😂 in Italy, immigrants work in agriculture, constraction, as nurses, babysitters, caretakers etc. In food service. No italian wants those jobs because they are too tiring, not enough money, or because they atudied for something else. Are you against a certain type of immigrants or all of them? Most immigrants in Italia are Albanian and Rimanianian, and they work very hard. Some are muslims, but they are no problem at all. So which immigrants are you against?

  41.  @cmd7930 I like North Africa and the Middle East. I am from North Italy (Padua) so closer to France and Germany, but I have relatives in the South, and they are closer to Arabs and Greeks. In Italy immigrants are integrating pretty well, so I dont see any problem. No riots, no terrorism, no ghettos. Answer me: who will work in agriculture, constructions, service jobs like nurses, babysitters, assistance to old people, cleaning jobs, restaurants jobs etc if not immigrants? Italians are not going to work those jobs because they are over qualified. Italian young people are leaving for better wages elsewhere. So what is YOUR solution? I am curious.

People from Veneto like me feel very close to their land/cities/culture. Why should I leave??? Who are you to tell me to move to Africa? Venice became one of the richest cities in Europe by trading with Africa and the East. Even the Roman Empire was mixed with North Africa and the Middle East. You could be African or Arab and become citzen of Rome. I come from a long list of important civilizations that were a mix of peoples, cultures, languages, even religions. None of them were xenophobe. You should study some history. Unless your utopia is North Korea lol thats what happens if you close your borders and isolate your country from the world. Maybe you should move to North Korea lol but probably they would not want you because you look different. I dont want Europe to become North Korea, sorry.

  46.  @cmd7930  also, "create more children" is a stupid thing to say and not a solution. We need workers NOW. Children take at least 25 years to grow up and be trained for jobs. Western people mostly have a University degree, and people with a Uni degree refuse to work low value job. Sorry, it is like it is. You can not force people to have children they dont want. It will end in legal/illegal abortions, deaths, child abandonment, infanticide, abuse, and more horrible things. See Romanian orphans in the 90s for example. You can not just say "get people to have children". It doesnt work like that. How old are you? You must be a teenager, an adult would know everything you wrote is just a fantasy, not reality. Sorry, we live in reality and you will have to accept it, whether you like it or not.
