  3. I agree. What he said is very alienating to the Muslim world. I'm not a Muslim , I am an Orthodox Christian but I have alot of good Muslim friends, and my brother is married to a Muslim, and this is so bizarre to me why he would want to alienate Muslims given that some of the radical Islamists ( the absolute minority) were on his side (as the absolute majority of the Muslim world supports Russia), Zelenski is making every possible mistake in the book, this is so bizarre... Now even the radical Islamic minority will turn away from him.

  5. Those are the numbers that I was saying from the first months of the war. Glad that the gen. prosecutor of Ukraine had confirmed it. ~500 KIA and ~1000 total losses per day for Ukraine. Then you multiply it by the days of the conflict, and you get a pretty close estimate of the losses .

Also Ukraine GDP was around $120 Billion USD in 2022. To grow it to 1 Trillion would be like 24 percent growth each year which is completely insane and unheard of in the world. Even more insane is that there is no actual predispositions for such growth...

  13.  @Easore  Except that that 3:1 ratio is just a theoretical number and it's not connected to the real world, and especially this conflict. Russia seems to be way more effective at this conflict and Ukr. loses way more at offense and defense as well. Your loses depend solely on how well you can organize and manage your army and it's actions and is not connected to any arbitrary theoretical number, outside of the theory crafting itself.

  15.  @bouji_  It's an average estimation. Some days there were more. Some days there were less. I'm only speaking from the average numbers. For an easy calculation of the losses. So you don't get bamboozeled by some random dudes on the internet in the comment section that spewing numbers like 20 k to 2 million people losses of Ukraine. Yes the discrepancy in the random opinions doesn't make sense alot of the times. And my average estimation gives you a rough number that is not detached from reality. And it turns out the more I study the conflict, the more I understand that I was right from the beginning.

  16. "winning" is a weird and subjective way of defining it. May be more objective would be ,who had gained and lost territory the most. And from what I can tell it's still pretty much a stalemate . Which considering this was supposed to be a Ukr. offensive is a big L. for Ukraine.

  17. I agree with you ,but I think it's just politics, they are doing that in order to get the western capital investments as simple as that. It's a short term goal not thinking of the strategical relations between the countries decades ahead unfortunately. Siding with USA right now (sanctioning Russia) will get you through a couple of years of this economics turmoil. But it actually plays to the detriment of a country long term, so strategically speaking it is definitely a mistake.

  18. Taking a small village for a day is not really telling of anything at this point. Often times Russia gives them the settlement , only later to retake it the next day... At least should wait till tomorrow reports.

  19. The actual amount of people living in Ukraine right now is closer to the 20 million people. They've had 37 million people before the war had started ( that's their internal statistics that also included every single region). Now there are like 8 million people who had fled/joined to Russia and like 8 million people who had left to Europe/ or other countries. So the actual population of Ukraine is at around 20 million now. Half of which are the elderly people.

  20. Yes, I think you've got issues. The oil is something that is constantly in demand which means that Russia will never have to stop it's oil production and forfeit that side of economy at all, but if it did, it only accounts to 1/3 of their total income, which means that even if Russia had stopped pumping oil and gas it would still be doing fine as a country. But that's obviously not going to happen.

  23.  @syc6598  there are some people who had fled to Russia outside of the Donbass region far away from the war. But the actual number is indeed correct. Around 8 million had fled to Russia and around 8 million to other parts of the world ( mostly Europe).

  24. Very interesting of letting the Hryvna exchange rate go. In turn that basically means that the west doesn't want to spend money on hryvna's stability anymore... it's interesting to see how it will turn out in the end. I would have also expected for hryvna to depreciate in it's value at least 2 times. However if the west is going for this, then it means that they think that they can keep the hryvna's stability under control... Let's see what comes out of it.

  29. Also another thing that people are missing, is that the US dollar hegemony in sense is self sustaining is that it feeds on itself. US has been getting 3x the world resources because of it , and hence why the real US GDP is 3 times less when that USD hegemony collapses. And so that "more than 50% GDP of BRICS nations" will collapse the US and the dollar immediately once they introduce the BRICs currency to more than 60 or even 70% ( if the USD hegemony ends), and so it would just be an avalanche that will hit the US, as more and more nations will hastily be trying to leave the US - western block , and join BRICS... eventually basically replacing the UN.

  31.  @msimon6808  They went through with the Russian gas pipeline, built a Russian nuclear plant (and want a second one), bought the Russian S 400 AA systems which in turn denied them the F35 deal with the US, they didn't sanction Russia, and in fact proposed a negotiation process and a platform for grain deal negotiations for Russia etc. etc. They are more so an ally than anything... but given also the bad things which Turkey had done previously to Russia, it's hard for me to put them as an ally even though for the most part they are acting as one, that's why I put them at neutral. Even though ofcourse, Turkey is responsible for burning up the Caucasus and an Azerbaijani debacles, and especially their ties to the terrorist in Syria, pumping out free oil out of the sovereign territory... Russia and Syria obviously doesn't like that, so it's fair to put them more so neutral on the political spectrum, with doing lots of good things for Russia, which is why they are getting sanctioned right now by the US by the way... in a sense they are acting more so like an ally of Russia but an ally that wouldn't mind burning Russian south borders and backstabing Russia at a right opportunity... yet ofcourse that would be a gravely mistake for them... Either way, it's complicated.

I will gladly wait and see how it progresses, however it doesn't mean that you can deny that the beginning of it was an absolute disaster. According to the Russian MOD ( you can take it with a grain of salt ofcourse ), in those 3 days of the offensive Russia had lost 71 men and Ukraine had lost 3715 men in just 3 days of the offensive. Even if those numbers are exaggerated, seeing that Ukr. hasn't achieved anything, I can believe that they are in the ballpark of being right.

Same could be said of Ukraine , if it becomes a part of Russia, then you could say that it's GDP has risen , because if you look at the whole of Russia it could indeed rise by 1 trillion in 10 years (though probably more lol)

  50. Russia could be selling it potentially to Hamas as it doesn't consider them as terrorists. But it's not to discredit anything. This is strictly business. Besides , Hamas's been getting ukr. weapons from other sources...
