@ssik9460 Your fallacy is you think an economy can be effectively organised. It can't. No group of people, or computers, are that smart
6
TIK is being a bit tongue in cheek. There is nothing at all to suggest Manstein was the best general - he was certainly capable, but was also an expert at self-aggrandisement
6
@SergeantAradir Are you seriously defending CRT?
6
@TheImperatorKnight It makes sense - I am continually recommended left-wing nonsense channels and have to actively down vote them to stop them from appearing
6
No of course not. He was a socialist though Marxism wasn't even the first form of socialism
6
@gumdeo China wants more children now too - because they've recently realised that their one child policy will lead to a nation of pensioners. You just can't beat that central planning!
6
Urban II didn't organise crusades, the people did
5
@lokischildren8714 It's Eton. And no, Johnson is actually very well educated. It's just you seem to think he runs the country. He doesn't. He follows orders
5
3rd?
5
@wtice4632 Anything right of Marxist-Leninism, seems to be the common definition these days
5
No one says he was a liberal. Socialism is the opposite of liberalism
5
Take it easy - me and your other backers (I'm sure) won't mind if you take a bit longer to get back up to full speed
5
Another great episode Lewis, good work
5
TIK, so I've started to get into Gary Grigsby's War in the East 2 - the instruction manual is 500 odd pages and logistics/supply are of paramount importance. I doubt you'll have the time to get into it but I will try!!!
5
It's really the older generations who don't know what a 'troll' is
5
'The sinews of war, infinite money ' M T Cicero
5
They acquitted themselves well in the Western Front of the first war
4
Yes but the problem is, they WERE Soviet sympathisers
4
@556deltawolf Agreed - I may be wrong but wasn't Lvov always a Polish city, for example?
4
@KameradVonTurnip it's spelled Teal'c
4
@antonjoly9601 I've ordered your atlases - have to say, very good work!
4
That's right. They were racist socialists and not classist socialists like the Marxists
4
@jaypoole8056 TBF it was probably the Thunderbolts that the Maus had in mind. It was more of an artillery piece which could run back and hide, than it was a tank
4
@TheImperatorKnight Stole from the council and gave back to the taxpayers. Robin Hood was a right wing hero
4
How does Robert Peel fit into that, the Tory who practically founded free market economics?
4
@legendarymarston9174 Basic Economics by Thomas Sowell is excellent too. Very clearly written
4
@Alexa-vo4kk Well yes but actually, no. Nazism is a type of socialism. Most socialists are not Nazis - most tend to be Marxists, although some are fascist
4
You know, you're not wrong in theory. In fascist Italy the trade unions (fascists call them corporations btw) ran the show with Mussolini at their head. So yes, fascism is control by the workers in a national system (as opposed to Marxism which is purportedly international) In practice, when you have socialism, you have to determine prices by fixing them (planned economy) and the only force powerful enough to do that is the government - so the meme is correct in practice
3
@flomparolic 'A wee scrap of paper is Britain's bond'
3
Yes, and that's why the latter is called a 'public corporation' in the UK, which is different from a 'public limited company' The BBC is an example of this
3
@genericnamehere7602 Razorfist is one incredibly sharp guy
3
'My opinion is that the true spectrum of government runs from collectivism to individualism' That is my belief also. Left is collectivist Right is individualist This is what the evidence I have seen supports
3
'I know England and France are known for fighting every time they get the chance' While this is true, the darkest day in the British Army's history (opening day of the Somme offensive) was an attempt to save Verdun - it worked
3
@TheImperatorKnight I bought Joly's atlases because he helped you with this - I wouldn't have known about them otherwise
3
@TheImperatorKnight Well he has customers! Was meaning to ask - is there any way to make one -off donations to your channel? Me and a couple of my mates are not keen on subscriptions but we'd like to fire across some support your way
3
Scandinavian countries (not to overly generalise, they are all different) are mixed market economies with tax burdens not wildly dissimilar to countries such as France and Germany. In some aspects, their markets are freer than the US
3
That's how we end up with Skynet and AM
3
It depends on how 'local' you define it, but local superiority is meaningless within an operational context. The enemy simply flows over the areas you don't contest
3
@khosrowanushirvan5728 Aye that really grinds my gears too - should be quite easy to mod though
3
@kaletovhangar Big X for infantry. Rounded box for tanks. Big / For cavalry. Big X with wee wheels for motorised
3
@andresdominguez6819 I didn't know that, you're like us in the UK then
3
@steenkigerrider5340 Really? Is there a particular politician you would prefer for that role or are you like me and are distrustful of politicians?
3
@alecjones4135 The Austrian school inspired the Chicago school (which Friedman was a proponent of) they have similarities and differences
3
My history teacher was adamant that a Roman century had 100 soldiers. It didn't ,it included 'support staff' as well
3
Nowadays 'far right' means long standing moderate and tested ideas
3
Different types of socialism, yes. But both socialist nonetheless
3
Aye. They figured it was just because the Americans were amateurs. They thought wrong
3
Yes. Although there were some atrocities, the scale and severity were severely exaggerated by Entente propaganda
3
But can right-wingers understand the use of paragraphs?
3
Still the best video on YouTube? Aye
