Love this version. Why can't "the writing experts" in hollywood do something like this.

I didnt even bother going to see the movie or watch it on Disney (I'm sorry I have kids and its lockdown). I just watched this tear the film to pieces with the humour Drinker is known for. Then that Elgar music ending ... DRINKER you should do movies that was beautiful :)

I gave up on it all after "Kenobi". How they quite managed to F that up is beyond me.

Games journalism aye...highest of standards and professionalism. Rock paper Shotgun is amongst the worst also, it used to be a good site that had games reviews, since all the old guard left for other things it got manshackled with it's current lot who are terribly diverse and they like YOU to know it! Oh yes, at every turn of the gaming world they are there to provide useful diversity critique for us to read and give a fuck about, it's almost as if we dont treat everyone the same or something.

This YouTube channel discussion on Black Panther is the PERFECT place to call out identity bullshit politics and saying stupid crap about things that dont need stupid things said. Well done CD. They made a baddie who really wasnt a baddie...no not really a baddie, he was actually fully correct and justified in his goals it's just he was a bit misunderstood. Oh fuck off stupid film.

More efforts to emasculate the heck out of anything that doesn't speak to the current identity trend. Same with Star Wars. Take the formula that had strong Male characters and replace it with a bunch of Mary Sue characters with no flaws or fun about them. Thought Casino was a good movie that enlivened the franchise, the rest since then have been poor and disinteresting to follow. This next one with whatever her bloody name was is going to flop so badly it's almost as if the audience will be trying to tell them something.

How sad, I grew up loving this series along with all the other's they ruined.

I loved this film. Knew nothing about the source material just fancied watching it one time. Seen it many times since.

The stupid set of movies since the last set of stupid movies.
1
I think Bob Odenkirk might be the next Bruce Willis.
1
Stupid Kathleen Kennedy. Stupid Johnson, stupid identity politics, stupid.

I was going to watch the damn thing before I watched this review. But I realised that I was pointlessly denying myself the laughs. I am never going to watch this movie.

Saw this in cinema when it first came out, loved it. Went crazy at the end but it was an amazing film.

Never even heard of it.

My god, that sounds like a load of turd and its only the first 2 episodes! Imagine what it might be capable of by the end?

I think we've reached the point where only a full on Battle Royale will satisfy the eliteigencia.

I can only think that someone wants to buy a whole bunch of cut price Disney shares, only to sell them again when the hire the real writers and actors.

Yep I'll be queueing up for this and damnit ill even skip my yoghurt knitting classes, might even bring my monthly allocation of Mung Bean sandwiches and rain water to watch it with! Sqqqqquuuuueeeeee3333

The last 2 seasons of The first series has completely burned me on this new series. I literally cannot bring myself to watch it. The utter shite that we were served has turned me off years of loving the books, the then the great seasons of the first series. I'll watch this when it's all said and done if the quality has managed to be maintained. I won't lead myself along like with the first series.

What is wrong with the West and its media these days.

I haven't watched this, purely because of the shameless nostalgia writing and the "gen x" cast settings.

When I joined the Royal Navy in 1999, towards the end of basic training we had to deliver a 20 minute talk on anything we wanted. Most chose football teams, or famous battles and read from a series of cards in a monotone voice. I'd always been transfixed by Shaws story in the film and read Stantons Book on the USS indianapolis sinking several times. It was a no brainer for me to do this talk especially with being in the Navy! I delivered the talk with a certain swagger and drama which generated a further 30 minute discussion about the elements I'd drawn from the book. I fell asleep during the favourite football team ones I'm afraid 😂😊

Loved this movie, saw it a very long time ago now, I actually went looking for it amongst the various streaming apps I have and not a sign of it. Roy Scheider is great in it, all the actors are superb, I loved the back drop of the tensions between Russia and the US throughout the movie.

The first time I cried at a movie was when I was 6 and my dad made me watch episodes of The Incredible Hulk. I cried every time that green fucker changed. My dad was still a legend even though he laughed hard at me sobbing.

Its daft, the pushing of potential limiting, yet limitless political agendery is killing off entertainment, and society (western democratic society anyway). No one gives a shit about Rey is a good example, she's not allowed to lose or be even half way under threat because she's just a vehicle for the strong female agenda.... So fucking what! Ripley in the aliens movies was also strong but she didnt have to appear omnipotent and limitless to do it! It was a triumph watching her barely escape from the thing in Alien, then being utterly scared to go back in Aliens even showing maternal instincts with newt (no fucking way that can be done nowadays) only to escape and barely defeat the queen at the end. These days it's far more important for producers to show our heros and heroines at their "optimal endpoint" all of the time, they dont see a need for any character arc or at least one that's minimal as possible. Stupid society

I really think that Crit Drinker has put more thought into this movie than the combined efforts of anyone that worked on the blasted series. Well done Sir you have changed my mind. TLJ certainly is the best movie of our time.
