You are right Evola. Here's a story from me working in the NHS which happened last week. This is a longish post so I must apologise. The section I work in is the laboratory of a major midlands hospital. We have many gaps in our service at the band 5 and 6 level. Basically shop floor scientist level, the level that provides the direct laboratory output to the doctors. We have regular periods where if even one or two go ill that the service is in my opinion very poor at best and dangerous at worst. The band 8 manager told us last week they were interviewing this coming week to fill 2 band 5 and a band 6 position. I spoke to her afterward and she told me that HR had passed on 300 plus applications to her for whittling down. I was quite pleased that there were 300, surely we'd get something out of that. Turns out that 95% of them are...what for it...AFRICAN. Now we have many of these come through our system already and they come and they go, mostly because they will not put up with the level of work that is required. So they leave and vicious circle starts again. As it happens we haven't employed a white male in our dept in over 10 years now. I asked the band 8 manager what she thought of the situation of being given all of this African "talent" to go through and her look of intellectual confusion was comical. You see she's as woke and Right-On as the rest of them as far as equality goes so the cognitive dissonance of her politics was meeting reality in her mind. I left her with the thought thar perhaps she ought to ask HR why they are passing on all of this African talent when we have many fine universities here in the UK producing qualified people which are used to the level of work output required.
