I'm Irish and hold zero ill will towards the UK for the famine, no one alive today had anything to do it, moreover I was lucky enough to have the opportunity of being in the UK forces for 23 years, married an English lady and have two sons whom I bring up to be proud of being British while understanding where their ancestors came from. Ordinary people in the UK living today have nothing to be ashamed of. The world flocks here because the nation is good, no apologies are required.
