  2. It saddens me utterly to think that a set of Gramscian thought has managed to essentially capture our entire culture and institutions in little over a couple of generations. Sadder still that the thought that led to it was allowed to do so and encouraged.

  5. Sajid Javed is my constituency MP, I hear he doesn't intend to run here again next time. It was the one bright bit of news I heard today. He was a worm that got "parachuted" into our constituency about a decade ago. I should think being the "nowhere man" he is, he'll slink off to America again. He'll no doubt write a few lines in the local rag as he leaves, to which I'll heartily say "SO WHAT?!" As an aside, if this guy goes then it's a definite symptom or sign that the tory inner circle believe the end is nigh for them. For God sake as bad as the Torys are, Starmer is going to get in without a bit of resistance. I can only hope that reform (and I'm not convinced about them totally either) will make a good push to sweep up the votes that the Tory party has so stupidly squandered and dismissed for so long.

  6. That fool Welby is a disgusting representative of the CoE. I'm RC myself and Irish, but growing up I had many friends who were protestant in Ireland. I've never particularly seen the difference if I'm honest. Always felt a unification should have been possible by now.
