  2. @danielabebe8602  well Daniel you see the Arabic slave trade was bigger than the transatlantic one, the difference being they killed all their slaves. The word for "black person" is abeed which also means "slave" I'm reliably informed. The slave trade continued there far longer than the transatlantic one also. Besides there are plenty of muslim "refugees" that could do with some support from rich Arab states who share their culture and religion.

  3. I think this is the basis for the likes of the Trevelyan man being so "onboard" with his ancestors guilt. They pay a little now, and it is a little, in the hope that they'll be left alone in some future where this madness does happen. This is akin to paying protection money. However because they are influential they can keep the conversation going to push the vastest bulk of the effect onto the Nation. The nation which has already paid for this. You'll notice that its ALWAYS the nation which has benefitted and must be made to pay, yet when they grudgingly agree that money must sought from AFRICA because of its collaboration its INDIVIDUALS that must be chased. They know full well that it was INDIVIDUALS which enriched themselves in the UK, not the vast majority that lived and died in worse conditions than any slave "investment". The conversation regarding this will continue to push the blame onto the nation and thats how the elites want it.

  5.  @dabby249  well let's make it even simpler. Why would anyone alive today pay reparations for something which they didn't directly benefit from, add to that the practice was banned over 200 years ago at great cost to AGAIN people that didn't directly benefit from it.

  11. You are right, him and others like him are hoping that if they pay a little now they'll be left alone in some future where these calls are answered by some lunatic leaders. You'll notice that as elites they have influence and their voice carrys in the corridors of power, they will use that voice to squarely put the responsibility for all of this onto the Nation once again (seeing as we have already just finished paying the last round of this fuckery).
