The point about the OBR becoming even more influential is a good one, to my mind, this is the sickness at the heart of our current system, politicians don't want to make decisions anymore or take responsibility. They got used to doing this (nothing) under the EU, where people made decisions for them. Its the same with these unelected bodies, independent this....office for that... Our politicians are little better than jumped up civil servants doing someone's bidding, what does that make our civil servants in turn I wonder??
