One somewhat amusing incident is when Chuikov inadvertently called down enemy fire on his own position. It'll be interesting to see if it gets mentioned in a future episode of BattleStorm.

Yes, it's called a "hull down" position. It lowers the tank's profile, making it harder to see and hit. The earth in front of the bow of the tank also acts as extra armor protection.

Yes, the maps that Glantz provides are probably the only really bad things about his books. I half wonder if most of the maps are photocopies of the original German situation maps.
