Ever watch a truck disappear into the mud? I guess they could have used the Maus as footings for road bridges.

@soldierorsomething That was probably what the 75mm L/36.5 coaxial gun was for.

Tanks for the memories ...

@Malinb0ratt He also didn't say in his memoirs that he was the one who told Paulus not break out of Stalingrad immediately after the encirclement, and convinced Hitler that 6th Army could be rescued. Ooops! Amazing how "squeaky clean" you can appear if you avoid writing down all the facts.

As I used to tell people when working on even simple graphics, 90% of the work takes 90% of the time, and the final 10% takes the remaining 90%. And having co-authored peer reviewed papers, I can fully comprehend the amount of work that you do just to research the facts and write the script. Not to mention how easy it is to miss mistakes even when multiple authors are checking for errors. It is a pity that some people take the approach that, "To err is human, to forgive is not company policy". My final word on this is, "Keep up the great work". We need more historians like you.

I'm guessing you have never had to submit graphics to a publisher. It is amazing how long those little "This will only take 5 minutes to fix" details take to do.

@francescomiele6601 I guess you did not get the joke - guessing from your name English may not be your first language and the humor was lost in translation. It is not a typo. What I am alluding to in a humorous fashion is that almost everything takes much longer to accomplish that you anticipate, and that it is usually the fine details that cause you to go beyond the time you allotted for the project. The same applies to why many projects, government and industrial, go over budget and miss the deadline. By the way, I am not offended, I just have a tendency to give long-winded explanations.
