One on-line video showed that the German squad was based around the use of the MG-34 or MG-42, with the riflemen being used, to a large extent, as support troops for the machinegun. If you could deny the Germans the full use of their squad level machinegun, the German squads would have a difficult time advancing. Although good, they lacked a degree of flexibility.

  4. I have tried looking him up, but cannot seem to find anything. Does anyone know what happened to Anton Dragan after Stalingrad? I seem to recall he survive the war and met General Chuikov some years later. But that's all I know.
