Given Stalin's nature, I do wonder if the Kremlin conducted similar study similar to "Operation Untouchable", and like their British counterparts, realized that it was impossible for them to enact it. Especially since the US had the atomic bomb, and the ability to reach almost every important industrial city in the USSR with their strategic bomber force. That in addition to the other reasons cited in this video.
