  13. Because M4A has been stalled in the house for six years. There's a perception that the house has a corrupting effect. Bernie seems fairly immune, but quite a number of them, including the squad, seem to undergo a dramatic change of ethics in that place.

Also if people want to see change, and the government is supposed to work for the people, then humanitarian work starts to look a lot better than lawyers and lawmakers. We have a plethora of jokes about the predatory qualities of lawyers.

My idea of a leader is a person who can get an all white audience to surge to their feet and roar in favour of reparations. A person who isn't afraid to outline bold innovative policies, and who's speaking style is so compelling, it's almost musical. If governments are supposed to serve the people, I think non profit humanitarian work is an encouraging sort of qualification. This lady not only started charities to help aids patients, but ministered to them with her own hands at a time when most of society treated them like they had the black death. That suggests courage to me.

  32. She was the most googled in the first two debates, and brought up some topics the mods didn't like, because there was mic tampering. I don't know if it was Reparations, or Legislation to congress for publicly funded federal campaigns, or the peace department they objected to. Probably the first one, they didn't like, because it threatened Biden, and the last, because, well the war machine.

  39. That may actually be the grim reality. However, Ms. Williamson (or "Womanson" as MSNBC likes to call her) has been advocating for progressive policies for years, and worked a lot on grass roots movements and arranged for AIDS patients, not only to get food, but to get massage, during the outbreak in the eighties. I think her compassion and practicality as well as her glamourous media presence have been consistent over twenty years.

  50. Have you seen her on the bully pulpit though? I saw her last cycle roaring at crowds in South Carolina, and they were roaring back. Personally it motivated me to advocate for her.
