  4. All the early tactical warheads were Oralloy (Oak Ridge Alloy) only designs (no plutonium, only U235) so that the resulting contamination was relatively less damaging. The Hercules warhead was all U235 for this reason. With a gun design you can use a "passive" neutron initiator and they don't need batteries or any electronics.

  7. The Russians ran training missions up and down the West Coast 2-3 times a week, right on the edge of international air space. Do you think those were all one-way training missions? No. Your "information" clashes with history.
