Trump does not do the subject justice. He was poorly prepared and (typically) made exaggerated cliams that are based on rumours rather than the truth. This is a wasted opportunity because his inaccuracies mask the fact that, because of the recent arrival of huge numbers of Haitians and the subsequent culture clashes, the people of Springfield Ohio are facing exactly the same issues that the British public are currently dealing with: rising violent crime rates, rising rental prices and shrinking housing stock, lower wages, lack of job opportunities, housing over crowding, the increased dumping of litter and refuse, increased competition for finite resources especially state benefits, an increase in illegal and dangerous driving, a general lack of social trust and a deterioration of standards of public behaviour. The rumoured goose thing is based on one picture posted on Facebook showing a migrant carrying a dead bird and the cat thing is based on one van being pulled over by the Springfield police in which migrants had gathered up an unspecified number of cats. Everything else (that Trump didn't mention), the car crashes, the taking over of neighbour hoods, the welfare lines, the culture clashes are true and can easily be fact checked by the BBC if necessary. The take away is that it is very sad that we all have to reply upon Trump to fight our corner.

Kamala is a woke empty suit who seems to have failed upwards throughout her career, largely for reasons of DEI. She seems happy to bend the truth in order to portray Trump in the worst possible terms as well as having very little honesty about her record in office. She seems to have been involved in a terrible conspiracy to hide how incapacitated Joe Biden was from the US citizens only to then unceremonially oust him when the facts were exposed. She is not qualified to run nor does she have a popular mandate to be the Democratic candidate. She is personally responsible for the Southern border and the sanctuary city chaos the US are now experiencing. She represents a particularly undemocratic Democratic elite who bring with them all the Trans ideology, Critical Race Theory intended, ultimately, to undermine Western values. On the other hand Trump is an erratic narcissist without any real ideology who is quite happy to lie to the public when necessary. Mostly he seems to want to protect America's richest people, like himself and, because of this, he does have a reasonably good economic record. He has been quite strong on immigration and borders but he remains eccentric and unpredictable. However, internationally, he does project a certain strength that Harris would entirely lack. What a crap choice the Americans have! Given that Trump seems much less vigorous and able than he was in 2016, I would probably vote for him, hoping that J.D.Vance (supported by RFK and Tulsi Gabbard) will be stepping in quite soon. I expect Trump to win by a narrow margin and for the Democrats to widely imply that the election was 'stolen', just like Hilary Clinton did in 2016.

Taking advantage of the current weakness of Hezbollah and the Iranians, a combination of various fanatical, radical Islamist groups join together to bring down the cruel, oppressive, undemocratic Assad regime. Meanwhile millions of Syrians currently living in the West, having escaped the violence as refugees and asylum seekers, are thinking; I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon, it will probably get even worse now, just like Iraq did after Saddam... Expect another wave of Syrians fleeing their own country seeking refuge in the West.

This is terrible news, not only are Reform in the process of throwing yet another strong, popular resource under the bus, not only are they using extremely underhand tactics, not only are they ignoring legitimate demands for them to democratise the party organisation, they are trying to destroy the reputation of decent, honest hard working man. I am genuinely demoralised by this internal shambles. As you often say, we need Reform UK to provide us with a political alternative built on real solutions not a Westminster Punch and Judy show

Callum was in the US doing a documentary about the town in Nevada that features in the post apocalypse video game and tv show, 'Fall Out'. Perhaps the police thought he really was planning a far right atomic apocalypse while he was there, after all he did drive a tank in the desert last time. Or perhaps they object to his many visits to ex-Soviet countries, revealing how much cleaner their streets are than ours in the UK?

Couldn't agree more. If people aren't already aware of how badly our nation's institutions have been undemined in recent decades, then four more years of decline under Labour will surely make it clear. The Conservatives will implode after the massive defeat they have coming and will have to rebuild or disappear. I see it as a competition between Farage led popular nationalism (bringing with him the likes of Braverman and Badenoch) and globalist liberalism of the kind Boris Johnson adopted. Whatever the outcome the British public don't just need a new government they need a new politics.

The British economy is desperate for investment. It seems likely that the new government will be bending over backwards to attract globalist investment by making us as attractive as possible to the WEF. Expect it to be one of the various policies that undermines the nation state and creates the most pushback over the next four years.

International football is one of the only places left where the expression of national pride is still accepted, rather than barely tolerated or discouraged. It doesn't rely upon Diversity or Inclusion, it relies upon merit and even though it embraces equality of opportunity, it definitely does not have equitable outcomes. That's why liberal progressives hate it. Plus it is the last place where crowds can get away with rude and insulting banter. Progressives hate that too, so obviously, disgruntled wokies in the public eye have to denigrate it somehow. If we win, expect the media to proclaim that 'diversity is our strength', and if we lose (again) they'll probably declare that cobblers anyway.

Despite Farage bravely addressing some of these concerns this morning, there is no viable political vehicle that is ready to counter this narrative in the UK at the moment. If anything, the rise of political Islamism is significantly ahead in organising for change than any form of nationalist opposition. We need the current globalist, ultra liberal, Conservative Party to be utterly defeated for a new political entity to emerge. Perhaps we should be looking at the emergence of the popularist parties in Europe for inspiration?

@janyb1907 Pretty much. Christian values such as 'love your enemy' and 'turn the other cheek' are a bit of a weakspot when faced with a fanatical, implacable opponent. Fanatics don't harbour such compromising views and the Quran doesn't either.

@HeartNDagger18 I wouldn't go so far as to say all Christians are enlightened, nor would I say all Muslims are worthy of our fear and distrust. There are good and bad people in all religions. However, not all religions are of 'equal merit' in their doctrines and teachings. As I said above, Islam is at heart a religion of conquest, not co-existence. It is an all-encompassing philosophy that instructs the faithful how to live every aspect of life in the service of Allah and the pusuit of an Islamic world order. This is why it attracts so many fanatics. Plus, the style of Islam that has been introduced into British mosques over the last few decades is that of W'ahabism, paid for by Saudi Arabian oil wealth and calling for a return to fundamental principles. It does not hold the West and it's values in high regard to say the least.

Our political elite have been propping up a failing economy by importing consumers to boost demand and depress wages.They also argue that mass immigration keeps taxes down too, but we all know that isn't happening. They are globalists and don't actually experience the impact of mass immigration. That is why they can cling to their luxury beliefs, silence or shame the voices of dissent and cling to their anti -British, globalist values. The idealistic 'woke' progressives of the cultural left see criticising this model as an expression of racism. But it actually has nothing to do with race: If you imported 1.2 million Australians each year, or Belgians, or Swedes, it would just as damaging to the nation's social fabric. It places unsustainable pressure upon social housing, house prices, rents, the NHS, GP appointments, dentists, beds in hospitals, places in schools, care for the elderly, homes for the homeless, council services, benefits and of course jobs. That's not to mention the cultural friction that also follows. As you mention, it also has a worrying religious aspect too. I would refer anyone who is interested in deconstructing this political model to the work of Prof. Mathew Goodwin in his book 'Values, Voice and Virtue'.

The roots of modern Western Civilisation (especially in the UK) predate Islam and lie in the classical Greek civilisation, the Roman period and the rise of Christianity. Post Islam the West was able to, quite independently from the Islamic world, create the agricultural revolution, common law, the Enlightenment, constitutional monarchy, the development of its own science, engineering, medicine and the Industrial revolution, theatre, art, literature, liberal reform, trade unions and eventually universal suffrage. None of those cultural developments owe anything to Islam, 'golden age' or otherwise.

I watched the Triggernometry interview with Fry with great disappointment. For an erudite, intelligent man who debated atheism and political correctness with such clarity he is quite muddled and a bit dishonest now. He seems to represent views that were appropriate twenty years ago but entirely misunderstands the challenges of our socio/political situation today. Woolly, liberal and slightly ashamed to be British, he has nothing to offer except a rose tinted view of the past. He should be apologizing and steeling himself against the future, instead he's making excuses and avoiding the uncomfortable truths.

Usually this stuff happens behind closed doors but J.D.Vance seemed to want to push Zelensky into a corner in an effort to support his boss and then Trump simply couldn't resist the opportunity to step in and play the alpha dog. Zelensky should have kept his mouth shut but he felt he had to act tough too. I'm sure such things happened Tehran and Yalta with Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin, at Potsdam Stalin literally ignored Atlee and moved his chair from the centre at the photo shoot, but they at least had the statesmenship to argue behind closed doors prior to the press conference. Trump has no such sensibility.

Progressive, identity politics have been able to 'march through the institutions' for at least a couple of decades now. The whole philosophy riddles our schools, colleges, universities, the civil service, the MSM, the management classes and pretty much most of our national institutions. It is like a religious cult or a mind virus and as such will take decades to flush it all out of our Western societies, if indeed that is even possible. Trump's victory will not kill it or even push it back, on the contrary, the woke will take his success as justification for their beliefs and double down on their efforts to move us towards their non-binary, non-racist, non-patriarchal, impossible future utopia despite how illogical and paradoxical it may in reality be.

Wheels of justice didn't turn slowly for David Spring, he was charged, discreditied, his crime mischaracterised and his address published in the press, his huge sentence justified and imprisoned all within a week. Elton John has been doing that for as long as I can remember and he's pretty much a national treasure! In fact he's probably their spiritual leader? Him or Freddy Mercury? Check out his last interview on Triggernometry: very incoherent and lacking in an overarching philosophy. The next leader of Reform will need to be much more consistent and less interested in his/her own political rise.

He has clearly been warned not to do an Enoch Powell and totally lose his platform by having his message deliberately mischaracterised as racist, ethno-nationalist or 'far right' by the mainstream liberal elite. Like Starmer has done, Farage will have to keep his real intentions hidden until he gains power. If that happens in four years time, perhaps he will be emboldened by the many European countries that will have adopted similar political policies in advance of the UK by then?
