I lived in Orlando Florida for 27 years and I also hate Disney. I also lived an hour south of Washington DC for five years, agree with this one also. I was an Uber driver in Washington DC those five years and every time someone got into my car they had their earbuds in and never said a word to me. They were in their own little world.

In Austin TX we definitely have quite a few housing communities where the majority of people who live there are originally from India. So I’d say when they buy homes here they ask the real estate agents for communities that are populated with their race. Same goes for the middle and upper black communities. I know because I’m a full time rideshare driver and I pay attention.

@allnamesaretakenb4 18 hours in and their comment is still here lol, I’m shocked
17
Hahaha, as I used to say to my dad way back when, I did not ask to be born

I love Texas! I’m in Austin. Originally from Florida (27 yrs there). Love that we don’t have the humidity that my old state has. The people are a heck of a lot friendlier here, last summer, we didn’t have as many 100° days as we have in the past. Winters are slowly getting worse. But I cannot say that I regret moving here.
12
Lol your little brother’s response
8
True about Texas! Especially here in Austin because it’s growing too fast and we can’t keep up with the infrastructure. But, for those who have moved here from other states, we won’t be rude to you. We are welcoming and will talk to you as if you are our neighbor.
8
Same! My father was in the army for 20 years and I was born in El Paso in 1963 and my brother was born in El Paso in 1968. I hadn’t lived in Texas after that until I moved back to Texas January 2018. And when I tell locals I was born in El Paso, they consider me a Texan. And I lived in FL for 30 yrs before moving to back to TX lol. So I’m like OK, I guess I’m a Texan. No I tell people I have come full circle. Born in Texas and will probably die here.

@seanburrell7571 no, it’s not. I guess people like living amongst their own race. People are very chill and friendly here. Best city I’ve ever lived in.
7
@paolosprugnoli9105 why do you say that? I have never had problems with anyone from Switzerland. They have always been nice
6
I’m in Austin Texas and our manhole covers are about 4 inches below the pavement. And of course they’re on the part of the street where your tires ride right over them and if you try to avoid them by moving over to the left, you’re possibly going to hit someone
5
@252ceddi What school did you go to? Richmond is the capital of Virginia!
5
I moved out of Orlando to Austin TX, talk about growth. Stop complaining.
5
I’m a Floridian and lived in Fredericksburg from 2012-2018. Hated the winters, humid summers, and the I-95 traffic. Glad I moved to Austin TX!
5
@premchettri7170 at least my parents didn’t raise me to be a racist
4
I’m in Austin and when the police were defunded, Austin went downhill quick. If there was a car accident, cops were not permitted to show up and, if anyone needed the cops, for any reason, it took a lot longer for them to show up, and the homeless situation got worse. Crime in general got worse.
4
Not me going down that rabbit hole looking up Belgium’s serial killer stories. Marc Dutroux, that one is a doozy and I’m a true crime buff so there was no stopping me
4
The best place to watch the fireworks in DC is up where the Iwo Jima memorial is. I got there 4 hours early eight years ago and it was spectacular! I highly recommend it!
3
@billwilson3609 they don’t in Austin. I’m always swerving around them because they are so deep into the pavement.
3
@ no, it’s not. If you don’t leave Fredericksburg Virginia before 6 AM to get to DC by 8 AM, you’ll be late. 95 is a cluster and route 1 is no better.
3
People seriously need to stop saying Austin trafficis bad. It’s nothing like California traffic, northern Virginia/Washington DC traffic, or I-4 traffic in Florida. At least traffic here in Austin moves. When I lived in Northern Virginia traffic was at a stand still for a long time and there was absolutely no way to get around it. Austin’s traffic is a cakewalk compared to that.
3
The dilapidated church in Gary Indiana, how sad.
3
@connorhinds32 you obviously did not see the comment about Phoenix’s growth. Not under your original post. It was a separate post. Sarasota’s little growth is NOTHING compared to what Austin and Phoenix are going through.
3
I have quite a few friends who live in Fairfax county Virginia
3
You mentioned John Denver. I actually saw him in concert in Aspen Colorado during the week of Christmas before he passed. I had gone there for my birthday and Christmas.
3
I guess you’ve never watched one of his lives. I’ve seen his face a lot in his videos
3
That’s insane about FL. Before moving to Texas I lived in Florida for 30 years and I used to go out into the wild and photograph alligators and waiting birds and I only saw a moccasin once and an indigo snake at one point. I’m surprised I didn’t see more snakes
3
Those penguins hated me. 😂😂😂
2
@cameraredeye3115 traffic on I 35 is nothing compared to what I’m used to in the Washington DC area and Northern Virginia’s I 95. When people in Austin say our traffic is bad, I just laugh because I think it’s hilarious
2
Sanibel Island is the best! I really miss that part of Florida since I moved to Texas.
2
It’s a beautiful country!
2
You couldn’t pay me enough to move to Michigan. Too cold in the winter‘s. I’ll stick with Central Texas
2
How is West Virginia’s total inflation 13.7% being the lowest inflation rate and in your last video Alaska’s inflation is up only 12.4% but they’re in the top 10 of the highest inflation? What am I missing?
2
Warrenton VA, boring place. I know, I lived in Fredericksburg Virginia for five years before moving to Austin Texas. Fredericksburg is also boring. Nice to hear that about Tampa. I lived in Tampa for three years before moving to Orlando for 27 years. I preferred Tampa and being close to the beaches.
2
No amount of money would make me live in any of those cities, especially where it gets cold
2
If it weren’t for the cold winters, I would move to the Northwest. So I’ll stay in Texas.
2
Odessa/Midland is a shithole. Nothing to do there.
2
We have a Market St., in Bee Cave, Cedar Park, and Georgetown Texas which are on the outskirts of Austin. But no Market Street in Austin
2
Dripping Springs TX is a beautiful area but very expensive. I’m in Cedar Park just nw of Austin
2
You haven’t spent much time in Texas at all, have you? Especially Austin where I’m from.
2
@GAURAV25855ify absolutely! We Texans will talk to you as if we have known you forever!
2
Agree!
2
I lived an hour south of DC in Virginia for 5 years. How did I not hear about the catacombs?
2
I grew up in Cameron West Virginia and I hated it there! When I turned 21 I moved out of that state and never looked back. After that I lived in Florida for 30 years and then moved here to Austin Texas and I love it here. I take that back, I’ve only been back one time many many years ago and I will never go back again.
2
My sister wants me to move to AZ when she and her family move there. I’m not liking the idea that Arizona taxes your Social Security income. In my opinion no state should be doing that. I’ll stay here in TX.
2
True crime buff here, and I absolutely did.
2
I think Hawaii should’ve been #1
2
@middlemanceo same! But I moved to Austin 4 yrs ago. Best decision ever.
2
@TonyWilliams27 I don’t know about Dallas or Houston but I know for certain San Antonio does not have a very big homeless population like Austin does and that is because San Antonio does not allow encampments. And now the entire state of Texas has a ban on encampments. In Austin, The police, who were defunded, are slowly clearing out the encampments. There is a former homeless person in Austin who turned his life around and now has all this property and he is going to allow the homeless to camp on his land. I hope he has a good lawyer because we see lots of potential problems with this.
2
@bssaassin1900 have you not been west of Austin? We have mountain. Just gotta go west for that. Just like Virginia…mountains on the west side and beaches and flat land on the east side.
