  9. It is definitely true in athletics and anything involving mechanical motion of limbs or hands. The no pain no gain mentality would completely destroy the career of a concert pianist. Not sure if it works the same for muscle building but I would imagine that it is not great in the long run.

The script by Oliver Stone was original and a much better story with much more interesting characters and theme. I have yet to finish watching Apocalypse Now...bores me to tears just like your comment! I always sit to watch Platoon all the way to the end.
