Problem is, as far as the next few years the 30 %of people that are attached at the hip with Trump, no matter what and the senate which protects him at every turn, he has enough voters to scream in his behalf and the senate to keep him safe. Nothing to do but let the house keep the heat on him,,, but being careful to do it so not to make him a a martyr to his base. The senate has no hope until and if some crime he's committed, comes in as obvious and real as the Nixon times.

And this was before their behaviors. It's hard to believe they will be reelected. But along with gerrymandering and voter complacency, it is a toss up.

  7. Come on. He made all those promises during the campaign too. The congress gave him nothing for two years. Now we're almost back to the obamacare program. Cause all the congress plans were insane. Just because he says it, doesn't mean it'll happen. The wall? BIG f, n promises, that never came. Once they got the tax cuts, they started cutting things to cover all those billions they gave to the wealthy. He's making the same f, n promises,,, anything to win. Where's all those checks under peoples seats coming from? Him? Maybe that explains the senators votes?

  9. What I don't understand is, if nafta was so damn terrible, how did we produce so much money ahead during the Clinton years? Clinton left Bush with a very prosperous economy. Wouldn't NAFTA be some part of that?

The US makes rental and construction money making them rich, but messing up our environment in the process. Seems to me its the businesses that choose to move to cheaper labor areas. And I think I did hear that back then. We're just not made for having our own manufacturing anymore. Business owners are greedy, it's expensive to live and wages don't really keep up. Years back, us businesses paid decent wages, still made great profits and it didn't take a college masters to have the great American dream. Now the ceo, s have to make endless profits but workers struggle.

  11. I try to say in every comment, Get out and VOTE! If you don't want to go to the polls, then for sure vote by mail. Ballots are ballots. If they're counted right, they're just as good as in person.

Probably to solve the issue of taxes or fees etc. I guess if you had 5 million, in cash under your mattress. Not only would that make for lumpy sleeping, but you could milk it to last a lifetime. We used to be democratic when I was a kid. Now, though we supposedly have a majority, Republicans always have control. If there is a crooked way to win, Republicans will find it. Really sucks. So if there's a question of real fraud,,,,bet the Republicans are involved.

  35. I have no problem with immigration on an balanced and periodic scale, but i think your belief that it promotes more work by allowing women or non professional men is bull. I work construction all my life and have seen hands on what over population of either illegal or mass immigrants has done just in the trades. It doesn't boost workers pay at all, because little by little the bosses push out the more skilled higher pay worker in trade for two lower paid laborers or workers. For the same 15 bucks plus an hour the business pays a carpenter or mason or electrician etc, they can hire 2 sometimes 3 illegals. They come as groups, live in groups to pool their money and work for less. Please don't say it boosts the economy and work ethic,,,i know from experience that's not so. Once again,,i appreciate peoples need to make a living, and have no animosity towards immigration. But it's not a boost to the guys who've worked a couple years in a trade, know nothing else and then get outted by cheaper labor. My brother in law was on a crew where 80 percent were no English speaking immigrants, where only the lead man was bilingual. He told me they made so many mistakes they had to redo half the work. Obviously that's not productive or safe. Only point I'm making is, where you get the statistics that more immigration boosts labor,, I'd love to see.
