@thomasherrin6798 Where did that come from? And what does it have to do with what I wrote?
1
Now that you say that his cutting said intelligence apparatus makes total sense! Why spend money on it if you don't listen to them anyway! Genius! /s
1
I wonder why. Because I don't.
1
@ugrasergun I am older than 40. That didn't answer my question.
1
No it doesn't.
1
Hm. Doesn't look like it. The russians are already beyond any reasonable mark. I think they will really run out of hardware before they admit that they can't win. (Running out meaning, not being able to supplant losses.)
1
Grabbing land is not the same as genocide.
1
Makes no sense, since Russia had already cut the gas flow through NS anyway.
1
Also, people laughed at Prigozhin's claim about 10 million potential volunteers from the US. I didn't. I think it's totally possible that there are enough derailed individuals in a population of over 330 million. Just watch some videos about Trump rallies. Now, do I think there will really be an influx of US citizens on the Russian side? Nope. But many claiming support? I can see that.
1
There's hardly anything there that you'd need to "break through".
1
Well, the mobilization never really stopped. But the number of mobilized can't be very high or we would hear more about it.
1
@MA-oj8zk So it's the last 30k of 500k. Not really an improvement for Russia.
1
Creating any division in the western bloc is a win for Russia. So they will throw everything at the wall that could make some difference.
1
You misspelled realist.
1
@Jeroen_Maes Show me a quote. Links to YT videos are allowed.
1
Watch the video again. There's still a chance you might understand it eventually.
1
@JMAssainatorz I'm not sure breaking the RF will help ...
1
@JMAssainatorz Russian Federation
1
Not wrong. But not giving up also requires that you are ABLE to not give up.
1
@AndyT-np8mm I call bullshit. I've seen what Russians do in Ukraine and what they tell in interviews in Russia. Go away.
1
@AndyT-np8mm No. I reject that notion. We left those times behind. Russia - not so much. There's nothing more to talk about.
1
That's Mastodon. You can even set up your own server if you want to.
1
I don't think the Russians will be able to come up with any solution. (Unless you call retreating a solution, of course.)
1
@edhargquest8710 It's almost like how science favors reality. Really annoying to conspiracy people. Analysts favor Ukraine because that's what reality looks like. Believe what you want, it's not going to change anything.
1
a) Only after the russians have exhausted themselves in Avdiivka. b) Not really. Things are pretty much the same as before behind the (former) dam. The only consequence was that they managed to flood and wash away some of their own fortifications and mine fields on the left bank.
1
They seem to try to push the conscripts to sign contracts. I have no idea how successful they are in doing so. The conscripts themselves are by law not allowed to fight outside the country. (Though I think they are trying to change the law. We will see what happens.)
1
@Diekr This is what the IMF had to say: "Economy remains resilient." GDP growth 4% year-on-year in 2024, a 1% forecast increase. Impact of Russia's winter energy attacks less severe, as businesses now use generators etc. Inflation half that of Russia's.
1
That too. But anything that impedes help to Ukraine is a win from Russia's perspective.
1
Indeed. Mainstream media is mostly useless if you want to keep track of the state of the war. Or, at least, it's not any more useful than some social media channel.
1
You must have made a really gargantuan effort to avoid all the information saying the exact opposite.
1
They are not significant on either side or we would hear the respective other side cry louder about it.
1
@VFella I'm not American. You seem to have misunderstood.
1
Russian trolls hate it!
1
Since conscripts are not legally allowed to be sent to Ukraine, it should have no direct effect on troop numbers. As for volunteers, are those numbers high enough to even matter? I don't see any reports of Russians lining up at recruitment centers.
1
@driekeijlders281 No, it actually wasn't. The newly annexed regions are explicitly excluded.
1
@evgeniya7853 Obvious ruzzian shill is obvious …
1
Trump doesn't value anyone besides himself and his immediate family. And even the latter is very much in question.

As Anders has clearly stated, it is the intention that makes something a genocide.
1
Hovercraft are very loud. Currently they try very hard to just not get spotted while crossing the river.
1
Are you ok?
1
@bipolarman9246 What poll?
1
@chriswinstanley6824 The casualty numbers in this war are about 1:4+ in Ukraine's favor. And the population numbers are also about 1:4. Number of soldiers available is not what will decide this war.
1
@chriswinstanley6824 Do you have point?
1
@chriswinstanley6824 I can draw any conclusions I like. You can draw your own conclusions or just give up. Your problem.
1
@chriswinstanley6824 Same for you.
1
@Mosern1977 Yeah, but it won't work. As I said before: Putin wants to win in Ukraine like I want to win the lottery. I think my chances are higher. And I don't even play the lottery.
1
It will be a lot harder to find new soldiers. (The ones who have already signed a contract will die either way.)
1
Nah. Too much 3D chess. No one is playing 3D chess. Everyone is just adapting to what's happening on the battlefield.
1
Of course they still are a threat. Like a single mad man with a knife in a shopping mall is a threat.
