You're a terrific role model for young men to learn from!
56
Sierra, you have that mother glow !! Beautiful!!!
37
I'd make a door on the outside cubby for firewood! That way you won't have to bring in the cold wood through the house and cool it down so much when it's 30 below zero!!
36
You can sell your house in town with enough money left over to purchase some land out in the woods!! Don't worry about what friends and family think!! Do what you want!!
26
Kyle, we can see your passion for your new addition to your family! Both baby and home! Congratulations!!!❤❤❤
21
I'm glad to hear Ceira is doing much better!
13
As a retired professional installer, its great! You won't have any problems with it!
10
Yes, 50 years ago, we had an early spring with a major snow storm in April! My wife and I got married 2 days later! It was quite a time! I'd been plowing the fields for 2 weeks before that!
10
You're like me! No nails in windows! I almost fired a guy for pulling out his hammer and nails for installing windows I stopped him before he did!
9
I added my chicken manure with straw to it thinly, and tilled it in and added garden mix soil on top of it! The plants grew like crazy!!
9
My brother and sister in laws were up in the BWCA and stalked by a black bear! They were able to outdistance it, paddling their canoe! They lost it by paddling around a island! After they got back to the parking spot, they were met by troopers, game and fish department workers! They found out a couple people were killed and eaten by a bear on the island that they went around! NEVER trust a bear! More people are killed by black bears than any other breed of bears!
7
He talked about maybe a b and b rental for income! In a previous video!
6
A putty knife works really good for pushing in the moss!
6
Oh, to be young again!!! I wish I had that energy yet!
6
Thanks for sharing your beautiful family with us!!❤
6
Take a few 2x4s and screw them upright to the outside of the logs already up! That will keep the logs from rolling off the outside! Have another one on the inside on one end to keep it from getting you on the inside! Great job!!
5
You should make another bed away from the others for lambsquarter! It tastes better than spinach or lettuce and is more nutritious than most other green vegetables! It can be eaten raw or cooked and once it started it reseed itself every year! You just have to till it up to loosen the soil!
5
Great progress!! Love your build!!
5
I drilled 1 inch holes in the stumping my yard, filled them with diesel gas mix, and burned my stumps out! I let them rot a few years, and they burned out about 6 inches below grade! 1 big one burned for about a week, it was 38 inches across!
5
Yep!!! You're wise! I worked a sawmill before i bought one and thats all we used was slabwood for heat! Super quick to get wood put up!
4
Even with the flashing you put on the house, you'll need to put caulking under the flashing to prevent water from coming in and rotting the ledger board and t 111! I've done rot repairs in houses for 40 years! I'm now retired!
4
It's so beautiful!!
4
I used metal and after my nephew cut his foot on it I rolled the edges under so no sharp edges were underneath!
4
I've done that move many times, jumping on the trees!!
4
Yes, I was born and raised in Minnesota and your absolutely right!
4
Kyle, I put good dirt in the old chicken feed bags and plant potatoes in them! As they grow I add more litter to the bag to keep the potatoes below cover! You can start them earlier in the spring this way too!!
4
I have a feeling winter is coming earlier and harder this year!! I just got back from a trip to Minnesota! The leaves were turning color already and the acorns are falling like crazy and there were over double what there normally is! That's one of the signs of a rough winter!
3
Lol, I know what you mean!!😂
3
That's a sweet cabin!! Great job!!
3
Yes great stuff!!
3
Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year to you both!!!!
3

3
I made that same wood stove!! It works great!!
3
If you check out Bushradical, he does a great job explaining their system forbuying land and building cabins both in Alaska and the lower 48!
3
I used to live north of Bemidji in the 80s! Beautiful country!!
3
Kyle, I mix wild bird seed in with my layer feed and scratch! And production jumped! Our old hens we had 2 years ago, we'd get 13 to 14 eggs a day from 12 Red Rangers! Now we have 6 RIR and get from 6 to 8 a day!😊 Ours are free ranged during the fall after the garden is harvested to spring! We don't get a ton of snow like you do! We moved from Bemidji to Washington state! You're bringing back some great memories!!!
3
Awesome video!!! Love your family and values!!😊
3
You're going to love that washer and spinner! My mom had one years ago!! They work great!!!

Wow, it's just as dry there as it is here! Take care, my young friend!! We just got back from a trip to Minnesota and visited my sister in laws in Ackley and Grand Rapids areas! They had a little bit of rain while we were there!!
2
Northern Minnesota! Near Lake of the Woods! We used to live 40 miles south of his place!!
2
I made a woodburner stove after watching Lonnie and Connie's videos!
2
He had a video of it a couple times ago! You should watch them! He explained it in them!
2
Don't get gravel. Get 5/8s minus it packs in much better! I've built lots of roads!
2
In helps the logs dry instead of staying wet and starting to rot!
2
I've had to persuade those critters with rocksalt from a 410 shell a couple of times 🎉! They didn't come back!!
2
Keep us posted on events!!! ❤❤ We're praying everything goes smoothly with the delivery!!!
2
You split wood like I did when I was young! It's very efficient!! I could outsplit a guy with a splitter, even elm that was a bugger to split!
2
I was able to scrounge up some old steel roofing for my sheds from some neighbors that tore down a shed while back! The extra I used for beds in my greenhouse!
2
He tried driving a sand point and hit big rocks!! It will take a big drill rig to drill through to the water table!
