Watching from Washington state! We had a brunch of snow in the last few days and it's heading your way!! 49 years ago we had a blizzard with 2 feet of snow in Minnesota, 2 day before our wedding! It was pretty wild!!
2
Sometimes they are given away free out here in Washington!
2
Thanks for sharing your lives! I hope others take the initiative to become self sufficient and take control of their lives!!

Speaking of late snow! 50 years ago, on the 12th of April, we had a blizzard drop 2 feet of snow 2 days before our wedding! It was a crazy year!!

Mine too! I'm rebuilding the engine right now! I'll have it running before long!

Ciera,, your going to be up and around before you know it! My daughter had her Achilles tendon snapped off completely! She had surgery and repaired and pt and 4 months later she was as good as new!! Keep up the faith!!
2
We even put snow in a tub in the winter and they ate it for liquid and they thrived in winter! We used to live by the Red Lake Reservation!
2
What size saw is it? I have a couple of old stihl saws laying around that are parts saws! 028 and 029! It's the older ones!
2
Awesome series!! You have a great attitude for life and family!!!
2
Just a tip on chickens, they love to eat snow, even more than drink warm water! They thrive on it! We used to live north of Bemidji and had a couple dozen chickens!
2
I got a cheap solar rope lights from Harbor Freight that lasted nearly 2 years in my chicken coop- greenhouse! It wasn't to bright but it was enough to see pretty good! I built a covered deck front porch on my house and installed a solar powered motion detection flood light on it that lights up the whole front yard! It only cost us 40 bucks! It's never ran out of power yet and it's 2 years old now!!
2
Great job!!!
2
You're doing a awesome job building the addition!!
2
It looks awesome!! I passed my family's saws down to my nephew! My son and daughters family's didn't want them, and my nephew did, so they're in the family!
1
You both are an incredible couple! Keep on doing what you love!!

Looking back at your first videos! You are doing great! You have more maturity than most middle-aged people!

Happy New Year!!!!

He's thinking about renting some out like a b+b!
1
Awesome video!!! Beautiful area! In all the years i lived in Minnesota i never made it up there! I don't get back there much anymore 😢! I have lots of family there!
1
I hope you're putting ventilation in there! I put my chickens in my greenhouse, and we lost some because it gets too hot in there! When it got to 85, it was 120 in there! Then it went to 100 outside, and it was deadly in there!! I opened all the windows and had fans going too!
1
Congratulations!!!❤❤❤
1
I miss fishing for northerns! They taste as good as walleye to me!!!
1
Awesome!!! We can't wait!!!
1
Yes they're huge!!
1
Awesome! You can sell the axles for good money! They make great, heavy-duty trailers! I've built several over the years! You should get 250 each for them!
1
The water doesn't always break before delivery! All 4 of our babies didn't break until delivery!
1
Merry Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year to you both!!!
1
I wish i lived closer! I'd love to give you a hand!
1
Take care!!
1
Yes, you live in the land of 10k lakes and 20k taxes! We had 40 acres when we lived north of Bemidji! A 7 year old house for 45k! And then the jobs disappeared! We came out west to find work and never looked back!
1
I know of many people that have built log homes with poplar! Including Bush Radical! Check out his channel!
1
Same here!!
1
If you have a import store near you I'd pick up a cheap solar powered led light strip for the chickens! I did and most of our chickens laid all winter long! I used to live north of Bemidji by Nebish! I miss the neighbors and helping each other out!
1
Brrrrrr!!! I don't miss -30 below zero at all!! You'll just have to snuggle tighter together!!!
1
I Don't miss that cold!! I'd get walking pneumonia every winter! We couldn't work at the mill when it got down to -20 below, everything would break!! Metal is very brittle at those temperatures!
1
There wasn't any before either! It fine the way it is!
1
My daughter had her Acklees (sp) tendon snapped completely off! Surgery went well! It's very painful and takes a long time to heal! Have her take all the PT she can! I tore off my right front bicep tendon and they weren't able to salvage it! That was almost 2 years ago and it still hurts, but you have to keep moving it and using it!! Carefully!!!!!
1
I know a lot of people that make log arches for hauling logs! They are game changers for all kinds of things! You already have the winch!
1
I caught a mink in our chicken coop a bunch of years ago and rapped it over the head with a metal feeder! Unfortunately, it was summer, so the pelt wasn't worth anything! But it least it couldn't kill anymore chickens!
1
@noyopacific this was back in the 80s!!!
1
Watch Bushradical! They drove a Sandpoint in for a well on their off grid cabin in the upper peninsula of Michigan! Lots of pointers on it!!
1
Awesome job and video! An old neighbor that lived near us in Bemidji got a job building a log hunting lodge in Alaska! He had to figure out everything that he'd need to finish it before he went up there and order it to be delivered by plane! He worked on that list for weeks!! I wanted to go with him but he already had a crew!
1
Congratulations to you both!!! You'll be great parents!!! I'll bet your dad will be there to help you all he can!
1
I'd find a pickaroon to handle those hot logs!
1
Yep! You beat me to it! Free water for the garden!!!
1
A dozen years ago I bought a couple ladder jacks! They sit on the ladder rungs and lay planks across them! They work great! I used them for siding houses!! They aren't very expensive, at a pawn shop anyhow!!
1
We used to live near Black Duck Minnesota and we sowed our cabbage seeds directly in the garden soil! We found a patch of wild asparagus near our house!! Man it was good!! And blackberries and blueberries mmmmm!!
