@asan21able Well, 56% of Indonesian live in Java anyway. That's also where majority of covid cases happened, where things became worse. Anyway, read my arguments above.

@joy1ess Not that this matters in case with Singapore itself (I trust the government' responsibility with information control), but still a lot of people esp. in the West are made to believe this false narrative and it seems that more and more people have been convinced to it, and you can see things have becoming messy out there with thousands of masses rallying on the street to refuse mandate, passport, quarantine, and other stuffs. Sometimes some of these people would go all over the internet to push the narrative elsewhere.

@asan21able Because like I said earlier, I'm not comparing both Singapore and Indonesia covid situation for the sake of comparing. I'm trying to counter the common misinformation on the internet claiming the danger of getting Pfizer jabs and that anyone shouldn't get it. These people are now trying to bring the current covid situation in Singapore as example of it, these are the kind of people that want you to do crazy things like idk, eat horse paste? Acquiring "natural" immunity by infecting oneself?

@johnmonk3381 Well Idk, have you spent enough years on the Chinese internet, searching thousands upon thousands of local websites in Chinese (Mandarin) language, to prove me the government have been covering up the real truth about covid situation in China? I suppose you can understand Chinese much better than myself who could only rely on translator, so can you please elaborate? Just one example, recently in Inner Mongolia they reported 19 new covid cases but so far no new deaths have been reported. If you think this is a pure government fabrication, please show me your findings from multiple verifiable and confirmed sources. I'll wait as long as you need to find the information😉

Lol, where's Johnny Harris when we need his clarification? He said Tibetans are subject to crackdown, forced assimilation and ethnic "gentrification" yet what is he gonna say about this? How are they supposedly experienced far worse here than indigenous Americans in US and Canada already??

A bit unrelated but I'm kinda intrigued with this man's take 2:34 So I have a question for those very well versed about China (a response from Mainlander would be really nice to see): Have the government implemented certain effective measures in dealing with these western multinational companies? Please remember to keep the argument healthy and in good faith.

Not being able to play online game or video game in general shouldn't come off as a big deal, esp. for minors in this particular. Video game can still be addictive regardless if it's online or not, at least I can attest this from my own experience as former minor gaming addict. But then, while I understand the restriction may seems too much it's not some grim reality that Chinese minors can't have good time playing video game in their spare time. There are countless other activities for kids to do, that could offer better benefits than just playing video game on smartphone or console. My takeaway from the recent video game law is that the government is stressing the importance to foster a collective society that's capable of providing a space, accomodation and support to the benefits of children' growth, development and well-being, as well as to better prepare the next generation to succeed the current one in developing the nation, to contribute together for the common good. This is why the other recent laws are also aiming in reducing school burden and improving quality of life for children by encouraging parent' participation in fostering their children.

The way I see it, the Chinese government will decisively enforcing these laws and policies for certain period of time with hope to trigger social reform and change within the society first, then along the way each law and policy will slowly but gradually be reversed and corrected as time goes on. Another thing to note is that this law specifically target online gaming, likely competitive MMO games. So children could still be able to play average single player games or any casual game i.e. Among Us.

Well, I suppose one of the staff decided to pitch the idea after watching the recent episode. That part where Joel mentioned the "communism" word🤭

It's always US who looks for excuse so that the world doesn't hold them accountable for much of the problem in the past 20 years!
