@dinopanteloukas6868 Leftist infighting, there's recent split between those still maintaining principled ML position and those who jumped into current wave of so-called 'Patriotic Socialist' which is anything but Marxist. Jackson Hinkle is in the later.

@aprescoup Here: "Class analysis [...] wouldn't be so kind to China's political economic and security state development trajectory." I'm simply highlighting its contradiction by juxtaposing it with simple fact that China's been fostering extensive cooperation with ASEAN member countries.
5
22:35 Would also suggest to be more careful with the usage of the term. The GDP term itself, whether nominal or PPP, isn't necessarily or always be an absolute measure of economic strength of a country or region. Should also take into account other factors such as country's net worth, wealth distribution, public/private consumption, CPI etc etc.
5
@standingalone001 I don't think it can be boiled down into specific issue. The issue re:cross-strait situation is mainly to artificially ramp-up military tension on both sides, the chip shortage itself isn't the major one. China could still possibly buy alternative model in the market and do reverse engineering but Taiwan, south Korea and Japan can't just offshoring their plants from China to US. Not least because of the latest patent law which will enforce foreign company to disclose complete information of their industrial operation to the government, but also because transfering the manufacturing sectors didn't just happen overnight and wouldn't take immediate effect.
5
It won't make any real change as US has the ultimate saying and control over UN. But nonetheless, I think UNGA may still be useful to some extent to keep checked of which direction other country's political compass is leading to right now.
5
@PutXi_Whipped Tucker said about "US is abandoning the Monroe Doctrine re: China rise" in his show, if it's not clear enough already.
5
@svenhanson398 Look, I don't want somebody to pretend like they know something about something. I've seen enough people showing their own intellectual dishonesty by proving their own sophistry, and I'm afraid you're just trying to prove yourself as one here.
5
@svenhanson398 You asked me to cite more studies from non-primary sources, but that's exactly what I did there. The only primary sources I cited here is the data for annual disposable income of Tibetans, but even this data is still being cited by academia overseas as well. The rest is from foreign academic studies e.g. the comparison of education performance between native and diaspora Tibetans comes from a study by a scholar from Wisconsin-Madison University. Meanwhile, your literal response to it is to google something because you just seemingly unconvinced with my proof and didn't even actually elaborate your own refutation with source corroboration. I'm not buying this.
5
Well, this "reticence" is because what we're having and "keeping" here back home is precisely the legacy that'd been carved upon, whether intentionally or not, by none other than the former New Order apparatus itself long time ago.
5
@mackone8035 He can now go back to his echo chamber, celebrating his achievement🎉
4
@Christopher Jacobs Haha😂 I mean, speaking as an Asian myself here, I still can't believe it. Even Thom Yorke of Radiohead looks older in his mid 50s than these old gentlemen! But to be fair, there's some rare case like Ringo Starr for example.
4
Export goods becoming more expensive to produce is expected. With increase of export value, we should instead hope and expect for a jump in supply chain level, increase in purchasing power and furthermore, more consumption-driven domestic growth. This is happening in China now, its economy is now in the early phase of transition toward developed one.
4
Bro, you have a problem with Ben?😂 You literally spammed the same type of comment dozens of times already, shitting on him merely for being "too slow" to your standard.
4
@danielong4996 You got personal beef with him, boy? Lmao🤣
4
Too bad he literally goes on Vaush mode💀
4
It's not too late for the rest of the world to start reorienting their political and economic alignment toward China and multipolarity, however you may think it's gonna be hurting.
4
@andrewmah5605 Imagine being a commonwealth sympathizer lol😂 Gak ada urusan lu disini
4
@coshyno I suggest you to sort the comment section by "latest" and see it all for yourself. He's been doing this in lots of Ben's video quite recently, I don't even know what's his problem with Ben.
4
3:49 The person on the tweet there has been using a bot which delete all of his tweets after they go up to 8 days. Honestly disappointed with his choice there, given that he frequently make lots of excellent thread about geopolitical analysis and I've bookmarked lots of his older tweets. Some of it I consider as very important!
4
Dude, you're seriously misappropriating the context of this quote to justify a contemporary political convergence with clubs of reactionary and fascist dogwhistler out there and quite ironically, being opposed to everything perceived as 'liberal tendency' (which is just blind generalization). Cultural Revolution is one single biggest historical context you can't intentionally ignore here when mentioning that quote, the socio-political damage it had caused despite the supposed benefit and all those people affected by it in the long run.
4
@aprescoup "Xi's own word.." Yeah, you clearly made that up. Your own words precisely reflects a very reactionary way of thinking, almost indistinguishable from your right-wing counterparts out there. So, it's ironic that you're trying to strawmanning your way and ad-hominem anybody you disagree with here🤔
4
@aprescoup If your contempt against Singapore is merely because they're "jointly cooperate with US" for the sake of its own defense, then I can tell you wholeheartedly that you have no real conception of material and historical context in Singapore that persisted beforehand. Beside, you're already showing your true face by rejecting our perspective and position here.
4
@thefruitofuscolonialism5870 If both Bolivia and Venezuela can prove themselves capable of waging and then defending their revolution, then why can't the Peruvian people do the same then?
4
For example, China has the capacity to bring about proportional development and economic distribution because not only did China possess a huge sum of wealth (for instance, China's state-owned assets alone, excluding the finance sector, amounts to US$43.74 trillions in 2021 or a 15% increases from last year), but also because the ruling party CPC has the full political capacity to assert control, educate & guide the masses, bring leverage and drive change within their own economic affairs.
4
@phongnguyen-we8fu Not trying to whine about your reply there, but it's sort of interesting that your reply has gotten three times more likes than my original one, even though the context is you specifically agreeing with my assertion on SWCC before🤔 I'm not so sure about it, but it makes me convinced about (possibly) some dishonest people out there. Either some trolls, people who disagreed with me but pretending like they agreed indirectly or just misread somebody else's reply, or something of the sort. Hopefully I'm wrong about it 🤷👀
4
Sounds just similar to two historical renegade countries in the past🤔 Except the difference is that these two other countries at least manage to achieve a semblance of economic self-sufficiency to carry out its military conquest and pretending to defy its former patron, but this one is almost completely subjugated and controlled by its Western patrons.
4
On the other hands, this is putting into perspective how significant the political moves Petro and his own political coalition has taken taken to secure a majority-supported Colombian government representing wide spectrum of political position incl. communist and indigenous support.
4
@DarthBalsamic I've yet to see your own response addressing my reply to you, if you can speak on behalf to those "anti-war" voices as a Black person.
4
As the U' 'S continues resorting into intensification of "corporate Keynesianism" effort, to put it in layman term, things just started looking more and more like the beginning of a restoration to the um... so-called "national socialism" 🤔😳
4
Lmao, so this person I just dealt with just can't stand arguing with me and decided that he care more about his feeling than to confront my points for the truth🤭 I'm barely being offensive or even try to be derisive there, I'm as charitable as I get with my arguments there. FYI, he literally let me know about it then quickly deleted his reply.
4
Well, nobody should give a single clout point for any Patsoc out there that's for sure.
4
@mackone8035 It's the latest video uploaded in Grayzone channel. I don't feels like wanting to watch it any longer or to feed the algorithm with similar recom, but it's more or less what I described above. The idea of documenting life of more financially well-off White expat living in a struggling developing countries where lives aren't always all glitter and gold, just for the sake of pushing one's own narrative regardless if it's true or not is simply disingenuous and unethical. Much less so when you're attributing false or misleading information about it.
4
On a different news, have you seen the new trailer for Tucker Carlson's latest anti-China, pro-coup hit piece about Brazil which will be out tomorrow Ben?
4
US sits in UN and behaves like a Robot Chicken sketch, literally. Sad thing nobody seems to realize that.
4
Crypto doesn't work for any economy following the steps of China's economic development. Unsupervised decentralization can't really work in a big picture such as China's BRI development framework, where equity and mutual economic growth in real qualitative dimensions are the focus and not just about seeking infinite growth of value. It's probably only a real thing among certain Western individuals who live under a significantly different economic paradigm, but most other Global South countries such as ASEAN countries already benefit relatively well with the current financial and payment regime when it comes to bilateral relations with China. Beside, Digital RMB is already based on a blockchain model (albeit adapted to China's own economic principle).
3
Ben, I hope you're doing report on the recent plebiscite on the New Chilean Constitution and what's stipulated in it🙏
3
Everytime the uncle Sam told you why the big bad China is preparing to encroach Taiwan's territory, it's all nothing but a projection of oneself.
3
@HeresMyView You can still see it if you sort the comment section by new first, then go back here.

1:54 I think it's fair to say he's on the periphery to become full-on ML communist himself considering his own version of socialist thought he espoused, called Marhaenism, was developed from Marxism-Leninism (he considered it as ML-ism adapted to the condition and material reality at the time in Indonesia i.e. a synthesis of ML-ism) and when he took direct reign throughout the Guided Democracy period, consolidated political alliance with the Communist Party of Indonesia (PKI). A move which helped boosting the party's political legitimacy and reach unlike anything before.
3
Prof. Radhika Desai and Prof. Michael Hudson in the same video, "two polar opposites".. youtube handle burdizoid ain't gonna like this after he tried to own Ben by mentioning a video of debate w. Prof. Hudson in it in one of Ben's other video lmao🤭
3
Voting abstention is the correct position, actually. Your country surely have to display a strategic ambiguity necessary in the face of US' growing hostility.
3
Olaf Scholz is a miserable c'ckold (and so does his former Granny equivalent), that's why lmao
3
I think you need to elaborate further context on that esp. on the Japanese part. I just double checked the recent data elaboration from IMF's own and CEIC (based on national statistics), Japan's debt-to-GDP ratio percentage of both its gross govt. debt and external debt respectively are 261.29% and 101.8%. These are still not a good numbers esp. in comparison to China's which have been consistently maintaining healthy amounts. Moreover, the external debt figure suggest that Japan has reached an all-time high right now, so I'm not sure what part are you suggesting by "Substantially lowered the amount they hold." in particular.
3
@TheGareth87 Which is why I'm hoping for proper clarification . Like even when they're in no or minimal possession of US treasury bonds specifically, they may still be binded to transaction and/or other form of liabilities settled in dollars and that can also bring similar effects. Japan has a great deal of debt issues and US bonds isn't the only defining factor.
3
@transsylvanian9100 Damn right, bud!
3
@motherlandbot6837 Thanks for the kind words🙏 I'm doing just fine, I live in North Kalimantan which is at very low risk of earthquake impact. Java is well-known for earthquake due to its geological position being at cross-point of two major earth plates.
3
Just a heads-up for everyone, you can sort the comments by new and go to any comment section. It'll show up all the supposed hidden comments from default views (sort by popular).
3
@Faye_Liu That guy is clear reason why I'll never go down the reactionary pipeline🤦😤
3
@aprescoup Also, can you give us example of achievements under Fascist Italia we could absolutely learn from in return? Why should we eventually learn and follow Mussolini's footstep again, ditching all Chinese investments and projects in our country, restoring New Order 2.0 and electing new "Soeharto" for another multi-decades of despair? Seems to me, the most logical outcome if we're to adopt theories of Robert Michels' fascist school of thought to our political affairs at home right now👀
3
Apparently, somebody here are trying to pass Robert Michels, who joined Fascist Party of Italia and literally taught fascism at an Italian university during his lifetime, as a socialist here🤡🤡
