@johnwalsh4857 Meanwhile the west has gotten worse. So why would an up and comer want to be ruled by them?
1
@johnwalsh4857 Wow the comment erasure is bad around here.
1
Yes. Britain. Canada. Australia. New Zealand. Any "first past the post" system has this feature.
1
Trudeau lost the popular vote in the last two elections.
1
Tulisi Garberd. Vika Ramasarmy. Pete Hesit. lol and you've got a piece of paper to guide you. Maybe learn the names of these people before you try and criticize their qualifications. I bet you they can at least read a sheet of paper without garbling the words.
1
What gratification instant or otherwise would today's western youth get out of Russia's defeat? I think they're more worried about if they'll ever be able to own a house or start a family.
1
@EconLessons What? An internet Ukraine shill for president? Again. People care about other things aside from that.
1
@EconLessons Okay so why didn't NATO give them a bunch of shells if they have more than Russia? They spent like 400 and something billion so far. Maybe throw some shells into the mix. I'll tell you why. They don't have them and they can't make them fast enough. That's why they are getting cold feet about supplying Ukraine. It's become an embarrassment and they don't want to be seen throwing good money after bad. I think you're maybe one of the last few people who still believes in this sham.
1
All the Slavs were invaders after the fall of the Roman Empire. In Poland's case there were Germanic and Celtic people where they settled. I bet you there was a town or village there at what became Warsaw. Catholicism is a big part of Polish culture. Well they got that from the Italians (like you claim the Russians got ballet) about 500 years after the rest of Europe. Poland still has a culture and so does Russia.
1
Do you guys honestly think that Ukrainians don't drink vodka just as much as Russians do? They are practically the same people. It would be like the Portuguese calling the Spanish a bunch of winos. Incredibly delusional.
1
Why put sanctions on Russia if you're so into free trade?
1
Why would they want to crash their own economy?
1
@EconLessons Maybe a dose of realism is that you can't put the whole world under your thumb forever. Especially not if they have as many nukes as you do. If Russia wants to beat up protestors or invade the country next door what's it to you? So what if they're poor? They will not give up and they want it a lot more than you do. The Germans kicked their asses initially but they beat them eventually after much hardship. They beat Napoleon by burning down Moscow. The Ukrainians probably have the same mentality but they just don't have enough bodies or equipment to win. It's simple math. 150 million Russians vs 40 million pseudo-Russians.
1
@reluctantheist5224 More like retardation.
1
They're basically the same people. If they join the west they'll get flooded with Africans and the country will never recover.
1
If you guys are so smart and you think so poorly of Americans then maybe you should handle Russia by yourselves.
1
@arnesbeganovic Good. So quit whining and leave Americans to worry about their own problems.
1
@beatreuteler The question isn't whether Americans can afford it. The question is how does it benefit them to be a white knight for a bunch of stuck up Europeans who insult them constantly and won't pay for their own defense? That's not a Russian talking point That's an American one. Russia is no threat to the United States whatsoever provided we don't trade nukes with them.
1
@beatreuteler Also. Comparing anyone who disagrees with you to a stone age primitive isn't a great way to win anyone over to your cause.
1
@melolonthamelolontha9099 The video is all about how Europeans know stuff that Americans don't know so Americans should listen to them. The point of the video is stupid because any middle aged American or older grew up hating Russia and if they missed that time they have been subjected to an anti Russia media campaign for the last ten years. Americans have far bigger problems to worry about like their own border.
1
@themeiafy I am calling them primitive. Besides. The viruses had already had their effect long before the English got to North America. They spread from Columbus in 1492 through the Americas. Mexico was conquered in 1520. The Inca empire was conquered in 1532. Jamestown was in 1607. The analogy is stupid because the Seminole were simply outmatched technologically and had no hope of winning. Also Russia is not attempting to conquer the US nor could they so there is no parallel here whatsoever. To top it off this guy can't even pronounce the name of the chief properly.
1
@themeiafy Well France helped out a bit early on in the US' development and Spain got the ball rolling and teed up some nice juicy territories for the US to take over and a bunch of settlers and immigrants came from Europe at large but since ww2 I think the only Europeans who had much impact were the German rocket scientists. Britain has been quite useful in the past as an ally but that's not really Europe in my book and you guys hate them as much as you hate Americans in spite of them saving Europe from the moustache man. But the US has no need for Europe and China can't conquer the US either by the way. Sadly your type of fear mongering is more popular in Washington and Europe while both refuse to protect themselves from wave after wave of human garbage which is by far the biggest threat to the civilized nations of the world. That needs to change so in the meantime Russia and China are the least of our worries.
1
@themeiafy That stuff is all nice but if it comes at the cost of trillions of dollars of military commitments then it isn't worth it.
1
@themeiafy Name me one thing that Europe has that the US doesn't have or can't get elsewhere.
1
Yeah well at least a Russian can pass as an Australian if they can hide their accent. Australia and all of these countries even have Chinese spies in their parliament. Pretty sad when someone who looks different can infiltrate your government at the highest levels.
1
Electorial college? It's the electoral college. You're lived in Poland and you don't know how to pronounce Zbigniew.
1
Durgin or Dugin?
1
Youtube deleting me like crazy. Yes. They've suffered way way worse events than this. If it was going to bring them down then it would have by now.
1
Canada has low inflation?
1
Did you rob a 12 year old girl for that shirt?
1
Mendeyev? You mean Dmitry Medvedev?
1
Millions of Poles and others flooded to Germany and the UK and depressed wages. Meanwhile other less desirable immigrants were coming thick and fast on top of that. Britain and Germany were taxed through the nose to build up Poland and meanwhile Poland kept the garbage out of their country. Now Germany and the UK have become shitholes and Poland is nice and modern and safe. It all happened on the western European's dime and to the detriment of their home country.

A democratic country with hylerinflation, child prostitution and a transgender surgery clinic.
1
Was Ukraine any better than Russia or pretty much the same?
1
@videotosse I never went to the Ukraine but I went to the Baltics and Russia in 2002 and really the Baltics felt just as decrepit and gross as Russia for the most part. Estonia was the only exception probably due to a lot of aid from Finland. Sure there were some people with fledgling businesses and what was new was pretty nice but that was the case in Russia as well. Russia is just a huge country and it takes a lot more to turn it around than some little country especially when the EU is willing to bleed its taxpayers dry to subsidize that little country.
1
@videotosse Yeah. All of Eastern Europe flooded into western Europe once they got into the EU. That's why Britain left. They were getting double shafted with migration on one hand and paying billions in subsidies on the other hand. I live in Canada and honestly for every Russian I meet there's probably five Ukrainians, a Lithuanian, a Moldovan and a Belarusian. That's before the war. That doesn't suggest to me that Ukraine was an especially prosperous place. Now we are inundated with Ukrainians and many of them have a pretty bad additude. The pre existing (early 20th century and post ww2 and descendants) Ukrainian community doesn't really want much to do with them. I have a buddy from Ireland and his village of 1000 people got like 400 Ukrainian men and according to him they are drunken bums. People I know from Poland say they have had enough of them too. I am not buying this idea that Ukraine is some utopia but for the current conflict.
1
They don't need to work very hard when the governments of their adversaries are hostile to their own people.
1
Yeah. Because everything you hear about ww2 is bullshit. Just like this war.
1
The west is running on the fumes of its former greatness sadly. It's getting worse and worse all the time. You just left a crappy place for a better place at the time but have no appreciation for how it should be.
1
@robertmiskey5502 Why do you people care more about Ukraine than your own country? It's some kind of sickness.
1
They say that because they know what Russia was like and Ukraine is very similar.
1
@waynesworldofsci-tech Um. By missiles?
1
@waynesworldofsci-tech I understand that they have smart people there. Like I said lots of countries could do it. They don't because they don't want the trouble that goes along with it or because they aren't allowed to by their allies. But Ukraine is not going to start a nuclear weapons program under Russia's nose and succeed. They have spy satellites and the country is crawling with spies to boot. The second there is a whiff of that going on there will be a missile coming through the front door. Why do you think it's a good idea even if they could do it? You think they can win an exchange with Russia who has thousands of them already?
1
@waynesworldofsci-tech Well. I guess I am not allowed to say what I was trying to say. Long story short they would not be able to hide it.
1
@EconLessons Yeah. You can't remember what Japan's currency is called and you're supposed to be an economist.
1
@EconLessons Prices are set at the margins. Take 10% of the oil off the market and the price will skyrocket. It won't go up by 10%. You're an economist?
1
Maybe Russia is slow walking the war in order to drain NATO.
1
Yeah. Oil is like 70 a barrel right now and I'd think Russia can produce it for 20 a barrel.
1
Mother Theresa grew up rich? She's Albanian. How prosperous do you think Albania was in her day?
