@Thelostgoldhunters He also said Samarians or something when referring to Sarmatians. Not sure why can't pronounce things properly.
1
Really? How many soldiers do you think it would take to conquer the USA? It's definitely millions. What about equipment? So how is another country going to sneak a giant armada across the Pacific or Atlantic without being detected and then manage to execute like 20 D-Day style landings? Then even if they were successful how would they resupply their troops after the fact?
1
Yeah. Britain forfeited its empire and the pound lost reserve currency status. Now it's a crime ridden shithole where people get arrested for complaining about the state of the country.
1
@EconLessons You can tell by eating it.
1
You're talking about an act of war against China. China makes all of our shit. Have you thought this through?
1
Pretty convoluted reasoning to get around the fact that they are black.
1
The US has too much strategic depth to be threatened militarily by anyone. Nobody is stupid enough to try to invade. Even if Russia took all of Europe and China took the far east it still wouldn't be possible. The idea that someone is coming for you is laughable. The only threat is a nuclear strike and a country would only do so if they felt sufficiently threatened.
1
The Germans sent five million of the greatest soldiers in history into the Soviet Union. Any country would have a hard time coping with that.
1
Maybe that wasn't their goal. Maybe the goal for the US was exactly what happened. A diminished Britain and Europe with the US becoming a globe spanning empire.
1
India is a democracy and people shit in the streets. They do in the US now too frankly. Democracy isn't the be all and end all.
1
@george.carlin How much of that was underwater and how deep is the Baltic compared to the Atlantic?
1
@george.carlin I think too the Nordstream was a pretty impressive feat on its own. It's a shame the US blew it up.
1
@george.carlin I wasn't backtracking at all. I'm telling you why it's way harder. The Baltic has a maximum depth of 1500 feet. The Atlantic has an average depth of 12,000 feet. The distance of the water portion of the Nord Stream is 1200km while the distance from Canada to the closest point in Europe is 4000 plus km. That's if you went straight across the ocean. If you tried to go through Greenland and Iceland you'd still have a ridiculous amount of ocean to deal with plus thousands of kms of Canadian shield, glaciers and fjords to deal with. I'm not the only one here saying how divorced from reality this idea is.
1
@george.carlin Ukraine made a huge mistake in getting in bed with NATO. The Ukrainians are tough no doubt but now they are getting cut loose. That's what happens to every proxy once it's clear they can't win.
1
He is moreso than the ruling class in the west. Trudeau was borderline cheering on a series of church burnings. Biden made easter trans visibility day.
1
@andymoore9977 The UK had one way traffic of people moving in due to the fact that everyone learns English and English speakers have little desire to learn another language. It depressed wages bigtime. Canada would be getting the same thing happen. Free movement for 500 million people into an already crowded and unaffordable housing market would be a total disaster. Every gypsy from eastern Europe would be flying in and collecting welfare. Pensioners from the wealthier countries would be buying up homes in the countryside left and right. Dutch farmers would cash in and then come here and take over just like they did in the 60s and 70s. At least joining the US there's nothing preferable about Canada for Americans and it would be mostly Canadians moving there. Europeans would be getting an upgrade in terms of the size of property they could own. At least with our current absurd immigration system we are not bound by a treaty to accept everyone who wants to move here. Of course I would prefer Europeans to Indians but if there's no limit on them it would still end up having disastrous effects and knowing our government we'd still get the 1 million Indians annually anyways.

@paulfelkner6749 Trump ended both of their careers.
1
@smuook1969 Did he overstay his term? No. I don't think so. Several administrations have basically wiped their ass with the constitution as has the supreme court. Trump's probably one of the few who hasn't violated it.
1
@smuook1969 No. He did not. Have you ever seen another election before where they just stop counting in all the big cities of all the swing states at the same time?
1
@smuook1969 no
1
@smuook1969 I lack honour do I? You think it's honourable to go kill Iraqis because George Bush tricked you into it? Talk about believing BS. It's one thing to get sucked in when you're 20 but if you still are proud of that you haven't learned anything.
1
@jarcadipane2849 No. He might get taken for the big nap.
1
Biden tried to get them to raise production and they basically told him to piss off.
1
They haven't taken Alaska back so I guess I just proved you wrong there.
1
@dietmarspriesterbach6 Yeah. Okay. Sure. I bet that really happened.
1
@knopkaplay0507 He may as well be doing hit pieces on Germany based on his trips there during the Weimar period. As to his supernatural connection maybe Russia harvests the angst of Ukraine shills and that's how they've kept their heads above water.
1
@EconLessons So a farmer in Iowa that feeds a million people with his corn gets the same say as some bum on welfare living in Chicago and the ruling party can bring millions of such people in and give them the vote. Really fair system you propose there.
1
At least someone is talking a bit of sense here. A pipeline to Europe is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.
1
All you tough guys that volunteer other peoples' lives to be sacrificed can go over there and join up maybe.
1
@AlGrant-bh9or They did and I was against that too. Just because it's trilliions vs hundreds of billions doesn't mean we should throw more good money after bad. I don't care if it's the Coke or Pepsi party taking responsibility for it and I really don't care who wins. I just don't want to be involved and I want the welfare to end.
1
It wasn't religion that won him the election. This guy is challenged. The left wing has gone way too far and people are sick of their garbage ideas and incompetence/malice.
1
So they lost some and they won some but they've won every war since Putin came to power. You forgot Syria where they kept Assad in power. Win. Wouldn't all the wars after the Revolution be chalked up to the Soviet Union as well? The Russian Empire was multiethnic as well and they had Ukraine so is that Ukraine's loss since you claim Ukraine won ww2 for the Soviets? You can't just give a probablility of wins and losses based on this anyways. It's not a roulette wheel.
1
Chernobyl is in Ukraine. Maybe it will be Russia soon but for now it's not.
1
@k66a865 No. Chernobyl would not be built in a western country back then. Clearly the west was better during those times. Now western countries put black people in charge of building airplanes and you get Boeing. Things have totally flipped. We are now becoming a gay version of the Soviet Union. The roles are reversed in the new cold war.
1
Yes it will. The US will stop all military assistance and Russia will make Ukraine surrender unconditionally.
1
@tanyab244 Probably he feels he has a say because his taxes are paying for the war. If Ukraine was doing this on their own dime people would not care.
1
@rnash999 I think he means the Supreme Court decision that said that a president has some immunity for decisions he makes in carrying out his job. Sounds fairly reasonable to me but many people want to believe that a dictatorship is coming so that they can pretend to rebels instead of the baglickers that they are.
1
They thought it was popular before and now they realize it is not.
1
@EconLessons Feeling good about your glorious leader today?
1
It's ecause the market is finally admitting they've won. How anyone though that a country of pseudo-Russians one third their size was ever going to beat them boggles my mind and I enjoy watching these Ukraine shills coming to grips with reality.
1
Stone Age? They ushered in the space age with Sputnik.
1
@NelsonZAPTM How did Challenger and Columbia go? NASA was hitching rides until recently and buying rocket motors.
1
KA LIN IN GRAD. Do you know how to read?
1
If you live in Grande Prairie maybe you should go ask someone who knows what the f they are talking about how easy it is to build a pipeline to Europe.
1
That's why immigration is stupid.
1
So Russians having bad plumbing means their economy isn't growing?
1
@EconLessons Maybe so but their economy could still be growing. China was all peasants a few decades ago and probably not great plumbing. They probably still have people without it. Has China not grown their economy? It just doesn't seem like a real argument let alone proof that their economy is collapsing. If they never had great plumbing in the first place (which they didn't) then not having it now is not a sign of collapse.
1
@EconLessons Everything Russia has achieved they did themselves. They didn't get freebies thrown at them for 20 years like Poland. Sure you could say that's because they joined the side with the money. But look at the countries who gave Poland all their money. Have they improved or are they turning into slums in real time? Kracow's future looks a lot like today's Paris if they stay in the EU.
1
WW2 was a disaster for Europe anyways and who wants to repeat that?
1
@EconLessons Yeah. Americans want to be left alone so they don't want any part of this garbage going on across the ocean.
