@justagirl... by “we”, you’re either assuming I’m not Jewish or that I’m unfamiliar with the orthodox faith. I’ve been both religious and secular and I’ve also been turned into an atheist briefly, after spending several years in several orthodox schools, where I got to know the leaders/Teachers and Rabbis better as humans, as well as the majority of the “regular folk”. I used to admire the Orthodox Jews for the tsedakah they perform, and until that time I just assumed they always say all Jews are welcome in Israel and make our lives as easy as possible when we do our best to integrate amongst our fellow Jews.
but what happens in the orthodox schools is that they’re so full of hatred and fear that they don’t even trust you to offer to make them coffee or get them a glass of water when they have a headache… and it’s “nothing personal” it’s just because if you came from Russia, there’s a 0.000001 possibility you once passed by some non-kosher food, os someone in your lineage wasn’t fully Jewish… so you literally have to prove your entire linkage of you want to give your friend a glass of water… and if you bring a cake for your own birthday party - the teacher will threaten the other students in your class with actual punishment(!!!) if they touch your cake, because your kitchen may not be kosher…
Never in my entire life have I seen such true and actual racism and small-mindedness as I have in the orthodox communities. And I’ve lived in soviet Russia and been called Jeed.
I left the orthodox community and found God on my own, and I’ve never looked back since.
I’ve also seen how the orthodox community covers up child molestation, rape and spousal rape, many other kinds of abuse and I’ve also seen how the rabbis make parents shun their kids, their own flesh and blood, if they’re gay, or if they question the cult. (There is the Jewish religion and there are the difference chassidic cults).
I don’t hate the orthodox, but I feel sorry for them. They think they’re following God, and being “extra good”, like that kid who writes to Santa every year, when in fact - they’re following some idiot Rabbi’s decree so he could proclaim himself more superior in comparison to his opponent rabbis. And that’s how we ended up all dressing in black and covering up like we’re Taliban wives on the one hand, while wearing transparent, skin-colored tights on our “covered” legs and a wig that looks exactly like our natural hair, that costs a fortune, just because we can’t show our natural hair to anyone but our husband.
I’m not a huge fan of Bill Maher, but he has a documentary about religions, where he visits a place not far from my home: the scientific Halacha center at Bait Vagan.
There he learns about how the job of the people who work there is to find a solution for someone who if disabled, and needs to use a mechanized wheelchair on Shabbat.
The “scientist” shows him how the quadriplegic man featured in the film doesn’t physically touch his wheelchair to make it move, therefore he doesn’t violate Shabbat.
So he asks: but Pikuach Nefesh delays the Shabbat” doesn’t it? If this is about this man’s life, he is allowed to use his wheelchair as is… that’s Judaism. Isn’t it?
And so, they politely show him the door.
Because we all know he’s right.
When it comes to common sense: Walking on the street alone, driving in your car and swimming in the ocean with a mask on isn’t the equivalent of safety. Not wearing a mask isn’t the equivalent of jumping off a bridge and it’s nowhere near common sense.
What this woman is doing, at best, is listen to her MALE rabbi’s decrees. They were bribed and told to tell members of their congregation to take the jab and wear a mask even when they’re sleeping alone at night - and that’s what the congregation followed.
God has nothing to do with it, and I know for a fact most rabbis were bribed, because the Sephardic rabbis only raised the alarm when they realized the Ashkenazi rabbis were being paid more (gotta love Jewish supremacy). (At least that’s how it happened here, in Israel in 2020-22).
the saying “God helps those who help themselves” is not about turning yourself into “bubble boy” so no virus can touch you. it’s about learning everything you can about your God-given immune system and nature. Like the fact that sunlight both kills any virus and provides your body with vitamin D. And it’s about learning the truth and the facts fearlessly - because God is truth.
Instead, the only Orthodox Jew who openly and bravely spoke out after having saved thousands of lives is being shunned - Dr Vladimir Zeev Zelenko.
The Jewish community should have gone Sun-bathing during Covid, instead, they still dress like 19th century European Christians, which literally prevents the light from penetrating their bodies. You can’t make up a metaphor any better than that… 🤷♀️
you really need to learn where all the orthodox customs really originate from. You’ll find that many of them came from corrupt rabbis who divided our community by playing power games and politics, who compromised their beliefs in order to fit in and led their congregations, sometimes astray, sometimes right into a gas chamber (like the Rabbis of the Satmar congregation, who then fled like a chicken when his most devoted followers were dying).
That’s why I stay with the Torah and with God alone, and question EVERYTHING else I’ve been given to learn. And I mean everything.

I was prescribed oxy for severe chronic pain,
It saved my life.
Allowed me to get out of bed, work, sleep, perform on stage without doubling-over..
I adminned a group for women with endometriosis (a severely painful and exhausting chronic illness) and when they were denied opiate painkillers, they couldn’t function. They couldn’t be mothers to their kids.
I’m a Trump supporter (until Warp-speed), and my one problem with him before warp-speed was that he began the war on opiates by denying people prescription pills.
Most of the people who are addicted to drugs, I assume, from listening to Mark Laita’s channel, take them for the feeling - to forget they were raped and molested as kids and when they have to do sexwork - to numb themselves.
But I’ve been in opiates for several years, the first month it came with a high.. I had a little more fun singing in rehearsal and did a few auditions with fewer nerves (which was fun), but once that wore off, after like a month, I used it for pain and I thank God I got a break from living in pain.
All drugs have a medicinal purpose - that’s why people use them, to self-Medicate.
Schizophreniacs chain-smoke, it turns out tobacco helps quiet down their brain.. I didn’t know that and when my dad asked me to buy him cigarettes I told him no. Now that I know this - I regret not helping him.
I assume there must be a better, cleaner way, to use hard drugs when people need them, like chewing on coca leaves and not snort cocaine.. I wish we’d get over the stigma and the whole “sexwork for a fix” level of addiction…
In the times when they wrote Sherlock Holmes, they injected opiates like vitamins.. so.. I don’t know where exactly I stand on that..
Let’s start with cleaning the streets of violent criminals, and the drugs might just go away by themselves.
BTW, to everyone with a chronic illness - Chinese medicine healed me and I didn’t need the opiates for 4 months (then modern medicine gave me cancer and yay…).
Am I making any sense…?
P.S.
once I got prescribed a fentanyl slow-release sticker, and it’s scary shit. I came running back to return it.

The American chassidic culture is much better than the Israeli one.
It feels like these Jews actually do better without having their own country.
In America, I once got lost, and only a male chassidic Jew stopped to talk to me and give me directions.
Whereas in israel,
They don’t talk to women, their rabbis forbade them from looking women in the eye.
On their own streets, where they proudly construct pathetic ghettos to separate from the secular Jews, they make women and men walk on different sides of the sidewalk and the men can get extremely violent - which I’ve personally witnessed when we performed in an interfaith concert in Jerusalem.
Some orthodox idiot spread the word that it was a missionary event (it wasn’t, it was choirs from each faith singing in Jerusalem), and they rallied hundreds of chassidic Jews to scream “we killed Jesus” at both Christian’s and the secular Jews.
I have never been more ashamed in my entire life.
The chassidic Jewish tradition is in big trouble, and they won’t admit it.
Their rabbis are their main authority, and their rabbis are amongst the most corrupt and hateful human beings I’ve ever seen.
They pushed the Covid jab on their congregation because they received bribes and they only exposed these bribes after they found out they weren’t being paid the same amount as the other guy..
The chassidic community in israel made me atheist for a few years and now I just stay respectfully away.
I’m glad you found some people who didn’t reflect my experiences, and I’m glad there are better chassidic Jews than those I met as a kid in Jerusalem.
