  8.  @girshin  Actually, it's a VERY effective treatment for Malaria, - which was it's original purpose. IF you had a severe case of Malaria - a terrible infection that caused great suffering (mostly) in poor and remote Nations in Africa and Asia, you would willingly take on the possible Heart problems often associated with the drug. An otherwise healthy individual in a wealthier western Country needn't chance such dangerous side-effects, when other options are available. This is a Political issue, more than a Health issue - and you know it !

  20.  Saturday Surf  The FDA gave temporary Emergency clearance for the use of Hydroxychloroquine in the early days of the Pandemic - mostly under pressure from the Trump Administration. They withdrew that clearance as quickly as they could BECAUSE of the dangerous side-effects ... Get Over It ! ... AND - if the Pharmaceutical Industry bumped up the cost of Remdesivir ( not an unusual move in the Corporate Hell-Hole that is the American Medical swampscape ) you shouldn't be surprised. - Nor should you push for the use of a potentially dangerous treatment because TRUMP is peddling it OR because it's CHEAP !
