I like to speak with those of whom I disagree, because I not only want to know what they think, but why they think it. However, for this to work, it requires discussing / debating in good faith. The problem I run into constantly, is those who are tribal and these are particularly difficult to get anywhere. When one is ideologically driven, good faith VERY often goes out the window, because it is impossible to accept criticism. Bad faith, specious and straw-man arguments, along with obfuscating direct answers ends up driving me out of the conversation. That person will likely then just go back to their bubble and say how I ran away, because I cannot sustain my position. The truth is, THEY cannot argue their position, so make conversation impossible and then call it a win.

Yes, Zubinator. The analogy I use a LOT these days, is the Montgomery Bus Boycott. We saw an ENTIRE population, willing to stand up for what was right and walk every day, to avoid using the bus. Some walked for miles, to do this and was VASTLY more than simple inconvenience. Those of arrogant mind, thought them foolish, as the blacks will return to the bus system broken.... defeated. Of course, they did NOT return and the bus system was broken. Imagine if we had ALL done that when the lockdowns, turned from "10 days to 2 weeks" into 3 freakin' years? I was fortunate enough to have already been retired, but had I not been and was told to wear a mask or get jabbed to work... I would have walked.
.
I get that it is not so easy for a HUGE number of the population, but it WOULD have been... had we all stood up and said no! We humans are too weak. We don't have the fortitude to make the sacrifices necessary to do the right thing. Imagine for 1 nano second, had Gen Z been the society, when Pearl Harbor was attacked? We would all be speaking German.
.
DO.... NOT... COMPLY!

There can be no question, that "nurture" can trump "nature", as this is free will within the ebb and flow of society. The problem becomes when that "nurture" is guided by a denial of reality. Society has and will ever continue to evolve, so a wrinkle may be added to the mix, but the adjustments MUST remain slight in sight of and sustain the fundamental reality of nature. When an ideology takes precedence and diametrically opposes nature.... this is where the issues begin and what we are seeing in droves today. This is why truth must ALWAYS be held as the standard for all things and why "my truth" is so incredibly dangerous. For "my truth" does take precedence over THE truth, so enables a person to apply blinders to reality and seek to mold the world in whatever image that ideology dictates. This is a recipe for chaos and there is precisely zero societies that can survive under such conditions in the long term. Make no mistake, when someone says..."just do this ONE thing, so as not to upset another", if that thing is based on even the SMALLEST of lies, it is the erosion of society that is being demanded of you. Not only this, but once you DO accept that "small lie", you will be asked demanded to do another and that lie will not be so small. This is the incremental steps used to undermine all of society, so one must stand their ground and not subject yourself to living with even the smallest of lies... it will be your undoing!

@bradyjohnson7705 .. Yup. Like 98% of us, the "10 days to 2 weeks" made sense, to limit hospitals from being rushed. It is easy to look back later and see the nefarious intent, but seemed a reasonable move. What is do damned disturbing, was the willingness for the vast majority of society simply accept when it dragged on and on and on and on. I think the real kicker was social media shutting down conversation, as we could not get people on the same path of thinking, as questioning ANYTHING was verboten. Still no excuse, but being removed from one of the only things to keep occupied, being online, kept everyone from mobilizing well.
.
In the end, I learned more about human nature that all of my previous 56 years. I learned that far, far, FAR too many are 100% willing to trade freedom for "perceived" safety! I have worn a mask precisely 3 times, during this hell and was twice voting and once for pet emergency. she ended up dying ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED, because of authoritarian mask-holes that denied seeing my cat, after telling me on the phone I would not need a mask to enter lobby. There were a few prominent hold outs (Gym guy's in San Francisco Bay Area and restaurants), but were SEVERELY punished by boot stomper thug cops, who wanted to put them in cuffs for trying to make a living! Still pissed when I think about all that b*********t.

Reading the title of this video is not even remotely shocking. This speaks very directly to what JD was referring to, when he make the "Cat ladies" comment. Of course, the left immediately flew into straw-man mode and accepted the least generous interpretation possible, to be this great offense against women. As Whitney Houston, one of the most amazing voices said nearly 30 years ago, "children are our future", was the subject of JD's remarks. Once a person has children, their entire world changes and suddenly..... this is not about me any more.

Thank you, Zubinator and guest, Ms. Gina for sharing what so many of those who refuse to hear, get that opportunity 🐈
