  5. Again you are offering your opinion. Trying to determine from that era which was the sharpest or strongest sword would be impossible. None were mass produced. Each sword was different. Later when the Japanese started mass producing them for decoration the swords were crap. 100%. You will find out that many of the techniques used today in the Japanese Steel industry were taken from the fabrication of swords. Japanese specialty steel is the best on the planet.

  7. Sparta never conquered anything. The Mongols fought all kinds of armies and won. They beat the Chinese even though there was 100 times more Chinese than Mongols. They beat all of Central Asia. They are the only army to successfully invade Russia in the winter. They destroyed the combined European army on the steppe of Hungary. They were shocked to see the Europeans quit for the day and go back to their castles. They had not planned to beat the Europeans. They just wanted to check out their battle tactics. The Europeans were so stupid they had no choice. The Mongols knew much more about the Europeans than the Europeans knew about them. The Europeans did not know where the Mongols came from and referred to them as Tartars. Subutai figured 2 years to conquer Europe. Most likely attacking and sacking Rome first. That psychological punch would have destroyed any fight the Europeans would have given. The Mongols were extremely adaptable and the BS that they could not fight in forest is just that. BS. All of Northern Mongolia is forest. Later the Mongols invaded as far south as Vietnam. The only thing that saved Europe was the death of the Khaan and Subutai.

  18. I am very disappointed that they did not mention Geronimo. Likely the toughest and best general ever. with 39 warriors he was able to hold off 5,000 U.S. Federal Troops. He successfully defended the Apache homeland for 30 ye thars. He fought both the U.S. army and the Mexican army. In the end, the U.S. did not keep the agreement they made with him. He died at Fort Sill, OK in 1909.

  33. No you are wrong. On the second invasion of Japan by the Chinese/Mongol army, the Mongols used grenades shot from catapults to destroy the Japanese defenses. They then made a blunder by not moving the catapults off the ships and decided to finish off the Japanese with swords. They were almost exterminated by the samurai with swords. I suggest you start reading Japanese history written by Japanese.

The Greeks are the basis for western civilization. We owe it all to the Greeks. We should also consider that the Bible was first written in Koine Greek. The last khanate of the Golden Horde was destroyed by the Soviet Army in 1924. 800 years after Chinggis khan.

Today I would give it to the Taliban because they have held off the most advanced army in the world for 17 years.

Also,Iranians became Muslims. The Roman empire was gone by the time of Mohammed. It was the Byzantine (Greek) empire that was partially taken by the Muslims. They took Anatolia but could not take Greece itself.
