  8. Putting soil over pavement like that is a terrible idea. It will flood out at the first substantial rainfall, which I presume is bad for the plants. I know this because one time I camped out on the apron of an old airfield with some friends. It turns out it was just sod over old tarmac, and a light rain flooded us out of our tents.

I have to constantly remind myself of this in my IT work, and yes it's very frustrating. However, being a sarcastic ass makes most 'normal' people ignore what you're saying.
