  27. So that makes the working people in three boroughs under attack by three separate departments of the city; the department of transportation’s neglect to solve hit and run accidents in working class neighborhoods in Queens and the department of housing’s neglect of maintenance, repairs, and developments in public housing for Brooklyn’s working class poor. Two assaults that are deliberate. Inside these department the low level managers can do what they want and as people these managers come from a mindset that they are better than the working poor is a disdain for humanity that the mayor of New York enables. A third department of the city, Manhattan Transit Authority, did not fall under the sway of arrogant managers controlling the resources as in the other departments. MTA introduced changes to the subway system that improves its function which is to ensure the working poor in the boroughs can get into the city to do the jobs; but under the same management, the deliberate neglect in housing and transportation, including sanitation given the number of rats, roaches, in boroughs, are conscious attacks on whole working class communities. Fourth would be the neglect of Con Edison of the general water main system known to be over 100 years old and avoided till it cannot be avoided any longer doing the necessary upgrades. The Social inequality in Manhattan is expressed by how obvious the burdens of life always falls on the working poor in city neighborhoods and for those living off the main island and never on the rich elite on the island itself means that working people have to take a more militant stand against these abuses.

  40. Landlords as a social class were outlawed in the USSR in 1917, the same with Usury by banks, that to this day even under Putin, a landowning class has not emerged but for a few in Russian cities and these are limited to commercial properties like, industry, malls, hotels, etc.. But where people live rents are proportional to the building maintenance costs, if it’s a small building, rents are low, a larger building; rents are larger. Most Russians have no idea what a mortgage is. But here in America, a landowning class is huge and public and private debt is high as a result. In turn, taxes rise, endlessly spiraling higher and higher. They are an aristocracy of land owners, very powerful and the biggest of them are the leadership of the Senate. All senior Senators are large land owners with controlling interest in rents. Trump is a landowner. Jared Kushner is a landowner. Why these types are popular with Americans are for reasons that are ideological not for reasons that are pragmatic and practical because these men are not interested in being kind to renters, they are in business to make Capital. Of 332 million people who live in America more than half of them live on land that is not their own. NYC is a microcosm for the nation. All who work in the city work on the property of others is the same for the nation. Nobody in America that is not a part of this class works on land that is their own for their own subsistence, some bought land in remote places for homesteaded free of landowners, (a bank holding a mortgage is a landowner until paid off) and make products they can sell for additional income except for a collection of heirs to a property paid off by their parents or grandparents. And among this group, very few actually work the land for their own subsistence and livelihood.
