@andrewstewart9263 , Russia’s allies are Northern Korea and Iran. Russia is an irrelevant member of BRICS. BRICS is not, and never has been a collection of Russia’s allies. You’re obviously extremely confused.
Also, Russia can’t even manufacture ball bearings, there’s no way they’re going to manufacture as many tanks and other military weapons as they’re losing in Ukraine. Russia/Putin inherited everything they have from the Soviet Union, and it took the Soviet Union over 50 years to accumulate all that old outdated junk. It’s extremely fortunate for the west, and the United States that Ukraine is willing to demilitarize Russia. And now it looks like Ukraine will be demilitarizing North Korea too.
The west is, and should be extremely grateful to Ukraine for making the world a better place. The only reason why aid to Ukraine is pouring in so slowly is because a crushing defeat would leave Putin with the capacity to rebuild Russia’s military and start this nonsense again. By giving Putin the impression that he has a chance of winning this war that he started, the west is tricking him into continuing to demilitarize Russia. He’s trapped by the sunk cost fallacy.
It’s like an adult playing a game with a small child. As soon as it becomes obvious to the child that he’s losing, he’ll stop trying and give up. However, if the adult keeps the child believing that he might win, the child will continue. In this situation, Putin is the child. He just happens to be a child with a military and 50 years of antique Soviet weapons.
