Scross through some of the other threads here - a few trolls tried pushing this theory to discredit the video and got set straight but some dedicated fact checkers.   4.  @johnmcmahon5225  I'm not saying addiction is unheard of in Ukraine - it's a problem everywhere - but the UAF does focus on psychological support for soldiers and veterans, because they understand the importance of it.

  5.  @johnmcmahon5225  If Ukraine stops fighting, Ukraine stops existing. Weren't most men - as well as many women and children - traumatized at the end of WW2? But the alternative was a huge part of the world being taken over by the nazis.

If Ukrainians were going to beat their russian POWs "to death" they would do it before spending all that money on them, to feed and clothe them, keep them warm and give them the medical attention they need... Besides, the Ukrainians still need to get their own POWs back at that point, remember?

  8.  @robertw5052  "New York, Ukraine" has its own Wikipedia page, look it up when you have time, it's a good read. It doesn't seem to have been named after New York in the US. More recently, Ukrainian New York was the site of a cultural festival curated by the wonderful writer Victoria Amelina, who had family links with the town. She was killed in an airstrike a year ago, only a couple of months after I had the honour of meeting her, and every time someone mentions this place, I think of her.

  9.  @transitman61  Did you watch the interview he gave about a week after all that went down? Such a lovely guy. I hope he gets to spend some time with his child to recover from the trauma (thankfully the injuries weren't bad).

  10. ​@Kitsuragi556 He was interviewed a week after it happened by Butusov, he even shows his arm injury which is consistent with a small shrapnel injury that's been healing for about a week. As well as watching the interview, have a scroll through the comments - as far as I can remember, a number of people pointed out details in the video that confirm the fact that this guy is in the UAF (he's a driver).
