"In russia they're like us but messed up in the head" 🤣 There are some cool people in this video, but the last guy just rocks!
690
The glee with which Daniil stated "russian media cannot lie!" will stay with me for a very long time 🤣 Stay safe 1420, the world needs you

The majority of the people in this video (and many of your other videos) are the living embodiment of learned helplessness. I do hold individuals responsible for their attitude but I can also see that this is a monster intentionally, carefully created by putin over two decades (from the raw material left by the soviet decades and then the 90s, and probably the muscovite empire before that). It's horrifying to see, but I'm grateful for your videos because they give me such a clear idea of what we're up against. Stay safe, 1420, the world needs you ❤

Sochi...?!? When did Ukraine lose Sochi?? 🤣 You guys have some balls walking around asking russians this question... 😲 Well done for finding one sane, principled and articulate person in that wasteland. Take care of yourselves.
349
I can never watch your videos from beginning to end without taking a break or two, for my health. I can't imagine standing in that torrent of nastiness and keeping my voice as steady as yours (and presumably a straight face). How's your heart, Daniil? I hope you're feeling OK. Take care of yourself, your work is so important. Love and respect from London!

Thank you 1420 for ending a rather depressing video on a positive note 😊
290
@manchagojohnsonmanchago6367 Nice projection job, putintroll, keep it up 😂
252
@zaliuszuko4458 You do realise that most of the people currently supporting Ukraine and calling out the rf for its countless war crimes are not in any denial whatsoever about the wrongs committed by NATO earlier this century (or ever)? And are certainly not trying to gloss over any of it. Many of us openly protested against those wars. Crucially, we were not imprisoned for doing that. Your whataboutism serves no one but putin - but I think you know that. Слава Україні💙💛
239
"russorealism" 😂 I love this and will now use it every time I come across someone whingeing about russophobia. THANK YOU
233
I've been hoping the Golden Horde will make a comeback for the past 18 months!
187
@FreshGreenMoss They feed them, give them clean clothes and any medical treatment they need. Meanwhile, a Ukrainian POW exchanged months ago recently died as a result of being starved and tortured by his captors. Not to mention all the summary executions for which there is plenty of evidence.
164
And returning all captives, including children and babies. And sending all war criminals to The Hague. And paying reparations. But yes, remembering where their borders are would be a start
131
I listened to a Timothy Snyder lecture the other day, where he says that the best thing that could happen to the russian people is the rf completely, decisively losing this war
99
Those two lads turning to each other in slow motion 🤣 Thank you, laughing helps. This was a great video, as always I'm really impressed by your work and very grateful. Take care ❤🖤

Ahh Danil, your face in the last few seconds said it all... stay safe mate, a lot of people think a lot of you and your team. Love and respect from London.
86
As far as I know, "in the days of Ancient Rus" the russian empire didn't exist... nor did Great Britain. As the other guys wisely recommended, "read some history, everything will become clear".
73
@greendragon4870 If Ukraine looks like a parody of an independent state to you, it means that the concept of independence makes no sense to you whatsoever. Which is hardly surprising. I mean, thank you for confirming what most people in this comment section think about most russians.
51
Someone tell facemask guy that UKRAINE sent rescuers straight away... there aren't many countries in the world that need rescuers more than Ukraine does, but they still sent them. Thank you 1420 for the video, stay safe kids 🤍💙🤍
50
Hey, Leva, 21, system administrator (whatever that means): you didn't "adopt" those territories in 2014, you invaded them 🤬 And I'm saying "you" because you said "we".
49
You're so right... "I am apolitical" is a political statement
47
@frontendprotogy6749 There is no such thing as "western gay propaganda", there are just parts of the world where LGBT people have managed to gain the civil rights they should have had all along, and we all talk about it a lot as loudly as we can in the hope that other LGBT people who live in countries where they have no rights will hear us, and not lose hope. Homophobia is propaganda.
45
"If there's not 'ours' we won't touch them... We only kill our own" The logic in that 😲 Thank you for your work 1420, stay safe 🤍💙🤍
44
@Rafael-xt1nm This comes up a lot in 1420 comment sections... Some people are obviously trying to discredit the channel in the viewers' eyes, which I don't think anyone in this thread is trying to do, you're all just voicing your thoughts. The 1420 guys are actually very careful to never express an opinion, they just ask questions and show a whole gamut of responses in their videos. The one unfortunate person who's been arrested so far specifically for taking part in a street interview was interviewed by Radio Liberty, which is apparently considered a "foreign agent" (or something like that) in the rf - 1420 is not. If I've learned anything about the rf in past few years is that... nothing makes sense there. So it's perfectly plausible that two smart young guys, who are used to sneaking around simply by dint of being young russians with a functioning brain, would have managed to fly under the radar all this time, without bribes or connections. Of course that doesn't mean they're not in danger.
39
😂 Is there a special fools breeding program in place? Thank you for making me laugh, take care 🤍💙🤍
38
Dear 1420, I'm so glad you came across yet another individual whose words were so powerful they were worthy of a separate video... There's a whole discussion in the comments about his appraisal of democracy, but I understand why an intelligent, right-minded person would speak so bitterly at this point. I found his silences, the time he took to answer some questions, very moving. I hope that he and russians like him manage to stay safe in the coming year, and bring about the change they so badly want. That includes you guys! My best wishes for 2024 ❤ Practical point: is it just me, or is the soundtrack slightly out of synch with the footage? It may be worth going back and fixing it if you can.
37
Well, trump for one has been dreaming of that system for a few years 🤣
36
@magnumataredfox When KYIV was founded, russia didn't exist. russia only started existing when moscovia was rebranded in the 18th century
35
@natureblank1401 It's going to be so sad for you trolls and bots when Ukraine has won the war and there's nowhere for you to go except for back under a rock... Maybe that's why you're so active now, just enjoying the fresh air. 💙💛
35
And terrifying!!
34
@Moscow_Will_Burn I doubt it 🤣 But if he is, he's using that privilege well and I salute him.
30
@livmarlin4259 Down with putin's trolls! 💙💛
30
@wilsonball7171 All those revolutions, and nothing's actually changed from the days of imperial muscovy... mate, that's nothing to be proud of
29
What's the point of self-development and raising your consciousness and all that, if you're free to speak your mind and hold your rulers to account? That guy was right about having chains in the head though... Thank you for your work, 1420. I loved Danil's impromptu wasp comedy interlude 😊Stay safe ❤
29
@leonardoorellano6652 It was a never a "civil war" in Ukraine. There were russian special forces and wagner in the Donbas and Crimea, from the start. Don't repeat putin's propaganda, it's ugly as hell.
28
@j.k.1239 ... and then destroyed it, while trying to rebuild the soviet empire. Wooops, sorry, I meant the muscovite union
28
@СергейМонин-д7с Japan was a closed country until the 19th century... and it has collapsed since then, and recovered. So this analogy you're making doesn't really stand up
28
@Ershowike I'm sorry if this comes as a shock, but most people supporting Ukraine are not in any denial about the fact that the USA has been involved in lots of wars in its relatively short history... This is not about the USA, or Europe, or NATO, it's about Ukraine - getting invaded by russia - not for the first time. Making this war about "the west" is like blaming feminism when a woman gets raped
28
Thanks for this video, it's so interesting to hear from the people of Belarus. Also, as someone learning Ukrainian with no prior Slavic background, when I hear Belarusians speak russian I tend to understand a bit more than when people from the russian federation are speaking.
27
Daniil starting to lose his rag at "apolitical" who go on and on about not wanting to answer a question... 😂 Take care 1420, thank you as always for your work
26
@j.k.1239 Oh my goodness are you feeling well? You seem to be hallucinating. I recommend seeking medical advice - don't worry, punitive psychiatry seems to be strictly reserved for critics of putin's regime
26
@iniohos2 Seriously?! 😳 Can you post a reference? I'd like to read more. Thanks
26
@sergeypopov8279 I was one of the countless millions vocally opposing the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan (I still don't know what should have been done in the Balkans, and yes I still think about it - I mean, there was the small issue of Serbia committing genocide). Crucially, I was not afraid of being thrown into prison for 7 or 10 or 15 years for speaking my mind
26
"Don't be shy... we're not pretending to be young." 🤣 Thank you for ending on those two awesome women, I love them
24
Are you learning Ukrainian now? I started learning it last year - it's my first Slavic language so I'm still slow, but when I listen to Polish content (or hear the language spoken on the streets of London) it sounds similar, kind of like Italian and Spanish.
24
I've been thinking for two years that the language of russia in relation to Ukraine is basically the language of domestic violence (which I am unfortunately familiar with). russia is a demented abusive ex refusing to take "no" for an answer
24
This was a surprise... a good one. Thank you for making this video - and for keeping your cool while listening to some of those answers.
24
It will take centuries
23
And also, if they could do that, wouldn't they break their own citizens out of jail instead of taking months to exchange for some scumbag or other putin wants back??
22
Thank you 1420 for one video where not a single thing that was said made me shout at my screen! And thank you Ms Politkovskaya for helping this man see the light. Maybe there is hope❤
22
He has a bunch of followers on instagram 🤣
